Kelsey Grammer Suffers Heart Attack

Star magazine reports that Kelsey Grammer suffered a mild heart attack on May 31.

The “Frasier” star was paddle boarding by his Hawaiin home with his wife, Camille, when the attack occurred.

Grammer was then airlifted to a Honolulu hospital for tests, and has already been sent home.

Kelsey Grammer is aiming to come “Back To You” with a new ABC comedy pilot.

Following the recent cancellation of his Fox series, the actor has signed onto a starring role in “Roman’s Empire,” a single-camera comedy about a guy named Leo (comic Nick Thune) who is dumped by his girlfriend (Christine Woods) but can’t get away from her wealthy family, the Prettys.

Grammer will play the girlfriend’s eccentric, overbearing father.

“Empire,” based on a British comedy of the same name, is being produced by Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Films and began shooting this week.

Grammer played psychiatrist Frasier Crane for over 20 years on NBC’s “Cheers” and “Frasier,” and news anchor Chuck Darling for one season on “Back To You.”

He also voices recurring character Sideshow Bob on “The Simpsons” and played Beast in the 2006 blockbuster “X-Men: The Last Stand.”

Kelsey Grammer Wins Another Emmy

It’s unknown whether the guards at Springfield prison will take away Sideshow Bob’s latest Emmy when, as they did over 10 years ago.

Of course, it wasn’t Bob that really won the Emmy anyway, it was Kelsey Grammer, who provides the voice for the criminal who has it in for Bart Simpson.

E! Online reports that Grammer took home the trophy for Outstanding Performer for a Voice Over in the awards handed out on July 19.

That Emmy, along with Costumes for a Variety or Music Program and Individual Outstanding Achievement in Animation, were handed out at a special ceremony on Wednesday. The rest of the awards which are handed out live will be handed out on the telecast on Aug. 27 to be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
