R&B kings R. KELLY and USHER have joined forces to star in a new music video for their duet SAME GIRL.

The superstar singers teamed up to perform the track on Kelly’s new album Double Up and recently finished shooting the promo, which they promise will be state-of-the-art.

Video director Lil’ X tells MTV.com, “There was no ego when they got together. They were playing basketball on lunch breaks, it was all good. No egos. No gangs. It’s all straight, it’s all good. Just the chemistry and good vibes. You’ll feel it off the screen.

“It’s been a while since we had the resources to do it big, with the music industry how it is… (but fans) can look forward to the song really coming to life with a little extra something.

“We didn’t go too dancey in this. We do definitely get a nice performance part in this, but for the most part it’s really the story. A little movie and I give people a little moment.”

Kelly Misses Court Date Due To Burst Appendix

A burst appendix kept R&B star R KELLY from a scheduled appearance in a Chicago, Illinois courtroom on Wednesday.

The singer was expected at a hearing in his ongoing child pornography pre-trial yesterday, but had to be excused because he was recovering from surgery.

Kelly’s attorney TERENCE GILLESPIE told the court his client underwent surgery on Sunday in Miami, Florida.

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography and is awaiting trial. He was charged in 2002 with engaging in videotaped sex acts with an underage girl.

The singer is expected to be back in court for his next hearing, which is set for February 21.

R. Kelly To Begin Touring Again

R. Kelly has been granted permission to tour for the second time this year.

Kelly, currently free on bond, was granted the ability to leave Illinois to tour the South and East coast later this year.

Kelly will visit Houston, New Orleans, Virginia, New York and Texas. Other dates are still being worked out.

R. Kelly must be back in Chicago by Nov. 4th.
