Graffiti6 is starting to make their North American invasion, and they are hitting up the Tonight Show. Does this sound familiar? Well the Beatles made the exact same journey over 40 years ago. Naturally, @jordans_life had to make some comparisons.
Nick plays World of Warcraft. Not only that, he’s the head of his guild, demonstrating that it IS possible to juggle being a hardcore gamer with being a top-selling recording artist.
During a LIVE interview on andPOP.com Nick Carter gave out a number and took phone calls from his fans. These were real phone calls from real fans who we gave exclusive access to one of the biggest recording artists of our generation.
There were great questions about music, fitness, the backstreet boys but the most popular question, however, was about his underwear. In this clip Nick talks about his his ‘Haynes’ and covering his fans with glow in the dark paint.
When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.

Kelly Clarkson seems like the appropriate singer to pay tribute to the late Etta James this weekend. After all, Clarkson made it through the “American Idol” auditions after singing Etta’s classic, “At Last”.
While performing at Radio City Music Hall in New York this weekend, Kelly wowed the crowd with her beautiful rendition of “I’d Rather Go Blind”, a song that Etta recorded way back in 1968.
“This isn’t ‘At Last’ because everyone really covers that and so I wanted to do my favorite, actually. My favorite song is ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’. So, this is for Etta,” Kelly told the audience.
Take a look at the video taken by a fan at the show this weekend.

NBC’s ‘The Voice’ has announced that they’ve enlisted more celebrity talent for their upcoming season – this will surely challenge those over at ‘American Idol’ the most watched show on television.
According to Rolling Stone, each of the show’s panelists will now be joined by two celebrity advisors from the music industry. Cee-Lo Green will be joined by other R&B heavyweights, Ne-Yo and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. Maroon 5′s frontman Adam Levine will have some help from Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke while mentor Christina Aguilera will be joined by Jewel and industry-icon, Lionel Richie.
“I trust the show more than I trust the record industry at this point,” said Levine about reality show singing contests, in a recent Reuters interview. “It is a very tired format, but in a way this is a very fresh way of doing it.”
Another mentor, country-star Blake Shelton is pulling in two reality-show veterans – his wife, Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson. That’s right, Seacrest.
“I chose Miranda and Kelly because they both survived reality television shows,” Shelton told reporters at an annual gathering of TV critics. “I just wanted somebody who could talk to them about what they were going through.”
Executive producer and reality show innovator Mark Burnett admits that the show’s success hasn’t yet fulfilled its expectations. Last year’s winner Javier Colon (who?) released his album and peaked at no.134 on the Billboard 200 album chart. That doesn’t even come close to the success of “Idol” winners in the vein of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
It’s impossible to predict success in the ever-changing music industry and even making a name for yourself in the Billboard chart is a huge feat. Though this season could change everything, again.
The new season of ‘The Voice’ premieres February 5 on NBC.
During the live elimination episode of The X Factor last night, Kelly Clarkson graced the stage to perform her new single “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)”.
While her performance at the recent American Music Awards fell a little flat, she redeems herself in terms of outfit choice and stage presence. The X Factor appearance was a sure light show, from psychedelic images to flashing cartoons.
Just a day before she went on stage, she wrote on her WhoSay page about releasing a special album for iTunes soon.
“We also put a Christmas song on there as well. I can’t wait to make a Christmas album. It was such a tease
,” she wrote.
WIth just about everyone putting forward a holiday album or Christmas video, I won’t hold it against Kelly if she wants to jump on the bandwagon. Whatever stuffs her stockings, right?
Check out the video of her awesome performance posted below.
At an event like the American Music Awards, stars really want to stand out from one another. Some celebrities really clean up nicely and some just need to nicely fire their personal stylist. Here are the top 5 worst looks at the 2011 AMAz.
5. Kelly Clarkson has beautiful curves but by wearing such a bright sequined dress out of an 80′s movie, she looks much larger than she actually is.
4. Mary J. Blige is just reminding us what the definition of tacky is. Welcome to the jungle, baby.
3. Katy Perry is apparently colourblind and therefore looks like a walking ad for Pepto-Bismol.
2. Christina Aguilera may have the moves like Jagger but she has the wardrobe of a 19-year-old call girl. Next time, go up a size or two, Xtina!
1. Jennifer Lopex, Britney called. She wants her 2000 MTV Music Video Awards outfit back. Also, nobody’s into vajazzling anymore!
Apparently Kelly Clarkson attended the Chris Brown school of affection. Let’s be clear, there’s nothing funny about domestic violence and Ms. Clarkson was probably joking but I digress.
While she over-seas doing press Kelly Clarkson was asked about Adele. Bewildered by her overwhelming success and incredible talents, the American Idol created quite the stir today on the Internet. During an interview with the Guardian Kelly allegedly stated the following:
“I want to punch Adele in the face!” …. “She is just too good.”
Her sentiments were meant to be a compliment but didn’t exactly drive home a flattering message. This is the type of rational stalkers use to justify wanting to keep a celebrity locked in their closet indefinitely. Let’s hope “Miss Independent” doesn’t become “Miss Prohibited To Come Within 100 Meters.”
We all know singers crossover on to television at one point or another.
Kelly Clarkson, of American Idol fame, has been seen and heard everywhere lately to promote her new album Stronger. The other day the Idol champ took to her blog to mention her desire to appear on the NBC hit sitcom Parks & Recreation.
“It’s hilarious! I am a bad actress but maybe I could play a bad actress! I would nail that! I need to be in a scene with Ron Swanson. I love all of them but the trucker stache gets me every time,” she wrote.
The first time Kelly Clarkson got bit by the acting bug was in 2003 when her and Idol runner-up Justin whats-his-face-no-one-really-cared-about-him starred in the summer flop From Justin To Kelly. That movie tanked at the box office faster than Lindsay Lohan at a coke buffet. But now, it seems Kelly Clarkson is looking back in laughter, realizing she made a bad call. Good on her for owning up to her failures!
Kelly is a very sweet, bubbly girl and she would indeed perk up the NBC show. Lots of famous stars have made a cameo on Amy Phoeler’s show, including comedian Louis C.K. and basketball legend Detlef Schrempf. I’m sure the Parks and Rec department can make a little room for an American Idol contestant in the near future.
Chris Brown decided to give Kelly Rowland a lap dance on stage during his show in Atlanta.
Chris pulled Kelly up on stage and showed her some of his moves. Chris looked like he was having a good time, but Kelly looked a tad uncomfortable.
Do you think there might be some romance going on between Chris and Kelly.
Kelly Clarkson was interviewed by Access Hollywood last week where she compared dating to an American Idol audition.
“It’s like an ‘American Idol’ audition. The worst ones are the most confident… And the same thing goes for my dating life. The worst guys are the most confident with me.”
Ironically, Clarkson’s new track is called ”Mr. Know It All.” Coincidence?
Can you believe its been 10 years since Kelly Clarkson busted on the scene? And in that time she has released 4 albums and now a 5th is on the way.
“Stronger” will be coming out October 25th. Clarkson will also be hosting a live webchat August 30th on www.kellyclarkson.com to debut the first single of the album, “Mr. Know It All.”
Clarkson’s last album, “All I Ever Wanted,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and had the hits “My Life Would Suck Without You” and “Already Gone.”
Carrie Underwood has officially become ‘American Idol’s’ top earner, surpassing season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson.
As of May 16, Underwood’s album sales topped 12,296,000 and she’s moved more than 18,482,000 digital tracks since winning season 4.
Clarkson is close, though, selling 10,600,000 albums and 15,900,000 digital tracks since 2002.
Underwood has also spent a healthy chunk of the last two years on the road, racking up more money from touring. While Clarkson’s international presence is stronger than Underwood’s, who plays mostly to U.S. and Canadian audiences, she’s devoted less time touring and more time working on her as yet unreleased fifth album.
To compare the two, Clarkson’s tour revenues since her win is around $32,000,000, while Underwood has pulled in twice that amount since 2006, around $66,000,000.
As for the rest of the idols, we have rocker Chris Daughtry in third place with 6,104,000 album sales, while Clay Aiken comes in at fourth with 4,990,000 and Fantasia at fifth with 2,809,000.
Clarkson and Underwood are definitely my favourite ‘Idol’ winners, so I’m glad they’re on top. Underwood is lucky she has the country music scene on her side – that genre generates so much money, it’s ridiculous.
I guess teaming up with a former reality TV star has its perks.
After collaborating with American Idol Season One winner Kelly Clarkson, country singer Jason Aldean’s fame has propelled him into a star in both Canada and the United States with their single “Don’t You Wanna Stay”.
The single, which was officially released in November 2010, was the #3 most added song at Hot A/C radio in the U.S, and is currently making waves with Canadian radio programmers.
Although Aldean hasn’t become a heavy-hitter in the music industry, he has become a force in the country music world since his debut in 2005. Recently, Billboard named him the #1 Male Country Artist of 2010, and he has sold over 4 million albums.
Check out the exclusive performance Clarkson and Aldean did on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in February.

For a 12-year seasoned veteran free-lance bassist, Marty O’Brien is all of a sudden experiencing things for the first time now.
The Rhode Island native’s got his first real band We Are The Fallen, ergo, his first real debut album Tear The World Down, and above his first real consistent gig for the future.
He laughs when thinking this was all thanks to an unanswered e-mail he sent in 2002, to tryout for guitarist Ben Moody’s new band at the time, Evanescence.
“Funny story,” says O’Brien who’s been on three different Ozzfest tours as a free-lancer, and has rocked with A-list people like Tommy Lee, Disturbed, Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion.
Critics may have been harsh toward Taylor Swift’s Grammy performance, and now, Kelly Clarkson is adding her two cents into the discussion, according to People.com.
Swift’s performance was described as “pitch-challenged”, and her record label CEO responded by criticizing American Idol. Scott Borchetta, of Big Machine Records, told the Associated Press, “This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator.”
Enter Kelly Clarkson.
In a recent blog post, addressed to Borchetta, Clarkson, the first American Idol winner responded, “We not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well.”
During a stop in Hong Kong to promote her latest album “All I Ever Wanted,” first “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson shared her thoughts on YouTube sensation and “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant Susan Boyle.
“I think it’s awesome,” Clarkson told The Associated Press. “I’m bawling whenever I hear her sing.”
But not everyone is praising 48-year-old Boyle. “Smile” singer Lily Allen doesn’t see why there’s so much hype surrounding the Scottish singer. Allen wrote, “Susan Boyle is so overrated,” on her Twitter account over the weekend.
The first winner of “American Idol” landed at No. 1 when her album “All I Ever Wanted” sold 255,000 copies for the week ended Sunday. Meanwhile another former “American Idol” alum, Taylor Hicks sold only 9,000 copies of his sophmore album, landing the No. 58 spot.
The-Dream follows Clarkson with “Love Vs. Money,” which sold 151,000 copies. The singer is responsible for writing Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.”
U2, who landed the No. 1 spot last week with their latest album “No Line on the Horizon,” landed at No. 3, selling 132,000 copies.
Kelly Clarkson is returning to her “American Idol” roots with a performance on the reality competition show next week.
Clarkson, who won the show’s inaugural season in 2002, will appear during Wednesday’s elimination show to sing her chart-topping single “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
Her fourth album, “All I Ever Wanted,” hits stores Tuesday.
The two-time Grammy winner won’t be the only special guest taking the “Idol” stage that night. Kanye West will make his debut on the show with a performance of “Heartless” off his latest album, “808s & Heartbreak.”
KELLY CLARKSON has reinstated plans to tour the U.S. this year (07) – with a much smaller tour than the one she cancelled two months ago.
In June (07), the pop star ditched plans to promote her new album My December because of poor ticket sales. The cancellation came just days after she fired her manager.
Two months on Clarkson has finalised plans for a series of dates starting in October in Verona, New York State – in venues significantly smaller than those previously booked, reports MTV. (IG/WNWCM/ES)

KELLY CLARKSON struggles with insomnia – because her songs keep her awake at night.
The singer admits many of her lyrics and hits come to her as she’s trying to get to sleep and has to write them down or record them on the spot.
She says, “The moment a song comes to me, I have to get it out. That’s why I have a hard time sleeping, because a lot of those times are at night.”

Pop star KELLY CLARKSON refused to scrap material for her latest album MY DECEMBER on the orders of label boss Clive Davis, because she didn’t want to be a “pushover”.
The Because Of You singer – whose new LP sold 291,000 copies in its first
week of release (04Jul07) – was offered $10 million (£5 million) from executives at her record labels RCA and Sony BMG to record new tracks, because they feared her own songwriting might not generate as many hits as her two previous releases.
But Clarkson declined the generous amount because she insists her music isn’t meant to appeal to the label bosses – whom she brands as members of the older generation.
She tells the August issue of U.S. magazine Blender, “(I told Davis) I don’t
know you very well, and I am not a bulls**ter. I get (that) you don’t like the
album. You’re 80; you’re not supposed to like my album.
“I literally got told to my face that it wouldn’t sell more than 600,000 copies. And I got lied to. One reason I don’t like working with people at the
label is that they lie… If you’re going with the flow and not fighting, that’s settling. I can’t take that. Life is just too short to be a pushover.”

Singer KELLY CLARKSON has been forced to scrap her U.S. tour due to poor ticket sales.
The American Idol winner, who fired her manager this week, was due to hit the road next month.
Clarkson writes on her website: “I can’t tell you how much I’ve been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y’all… It really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won’t be coming out to tour this summer.
“The fact is that touring is just too much too soon. But I promise you that we’re going to get back out there as soon as is humanly possible to give you a show that will be even better.”
Michael Rapino, boss at ticket company LiveNation, adds, “Ticket sales have not been what we anticipated and we came to the realisation that we had bit off more than we could chew.
“In the end, we are in the Kelly Clarkson business and for that reason we believe that this decision will only benefit her and her fans in the long run.”
Clarkson releases her new album My December later this month. Fans can get refunds for tickets at the place of purchase.
