La Toya Jackson has expressed an interest in replacing Simon Cowell as a judge on American Idol when the Brit steps down at the end of this season, reports TMZ.
Jackson and Nigel Lythgoe, the show’s producer, reportedly discussed the possibility of her making a guest appearance on the show at a recent housewarming party in Bel Air for Kathy Hilton.

The Daily Star reports that Hilton, who is rumoured to also be pregnant, says she will be a “way better mother” than Spears because looking after her chihuahua, Tinkerbell, has taught her all she needs to know about looking after a child.
Meanwhile, Tinkerbell is creating havoc of her own. The minature dog was backstage at the “Today” show with Kathy Hilton, Paris’ mom, when Tinkerbell attacked the hand of one of the producers.
“Tinkerbell wasn’t kidding, she really bit in good,” says a source at the “Today” show.
“The producer had to shake the dog off. It was a nasty bite”.
Kathy was promoting her new reality TV show “Who Wants to be a Hilton?” which debuted last night. The show has been panned by critics, including The New York Post’s Linda Stasi, who gave it “absolutely no stars” and called it “aristocrap.”
