Kate Moss has proven that you can be a coke junkie and still get lauded for being beautiful.

On Thursday, Moss was named Britain’s Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, beating out top contenders Erin O’Connor and Alek Wek.

“Kate Moss is a fashion icon and without doubt one of the most prolific models in the industry,” the awards panel said. “She has now been modeling for over 15 years and remains at the top of her game.”

Last year, photographs of Moss allegedly using cocaine were published in London’s Daily Mirror newspaper. The supermodel ended up losing modeling contracts with H&M, Chanel, Gloria Vanderbilt and Burberry. She publicly apologized and entered a drug rehabilitation clinic in Arizona.

She was not charged for her drug use, however, due to insufficient evidence.

“Model of the Year” recipients are chosen by leading press, buyers and industry figures from a shortlist compiled by British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and a committee.

Moss has made a huge comeback since the cocaine scandal, winning back more than a dozen contracts including signings with Bulgari, Christian Dior and Rimmel cosmetics.

Reports are surfacing troubled Babyshambles front-man Pete Doherty has been spreading his bodily fluids around again — and this time, he’s knocked up his girlfriend.

According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, Doherty’s supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss is carrying the couple’s child. Additionally, the paper says that, despite their on-again off-again relationship, the two plan to wed.

“I have spoken to Pete twice about the baby and he has confirmed that Kate is pregnant,” the paper quoted Pete’s uncle as saying. “That is why they want to get married. Pete told me they want a baby together to cement their marriage.”

The couple has also reportedly picked names for the child: Charlie Butrose if it’s a boy, and Yayo Bumper for a girl.

Controversial musician Pete Doherty has finally gotten supermodel Kate Moss to accept a marriage proposal.

The 32-year-old runway star is said to have accepted Doherty’s latest attempt at engagement after being impressed with his efforts in battling drug addiction.

“She has always loved him but just needed him to straighten up,” a source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror. “Now there’s nothing to stop them marrying.”

The source said that the proposal took place last Wednesday, and that the couple plans to wed “within weeks.”

Doherty, the 27-year-old front-man for Babyshambles, is set to be released from rehab at London’s Priory clinic sometime on Monday or Tuesday.

This comeback kid is in the swing of things as she graces the cover of this month’s Vanity Fair magazine.

Vanity Fair photographed Moss last year, but had never used the pictures until now.

However, cosmetics company, Rimmel and the high fashion line, Dior, stuck by her after she released a statement promising to get help.

The model, who is reported to have dumped boyfriend and self-confessed crack addict Pete Doherty, said she had ?various personal issues? that she needed to address.

Johnny Depp, who if nothing else is known for interesting movie choices and offbeat clothing ensembles, has taken “interesting” to a new level.

He reportedly gave supermodel Kate Moss a mirror as she gets ready to leave rehab, where she was treated after being found snorting cocaine.

Depp, who was dating Moss at one point, wants her to use the mirror to “face herself without fear,” according to the British paper The Sun.

The actor, who is part Cherokee, says using mirrors as therapy is an old Indian belief.

Kate Moss was set up to be filmed snorting cocaine by a drug dealer, London police have announced.

Officials investigating Moss’s drug scandal say a 25-year-old man from east London offered the supermodel cocaine before reaching for his camera.

A senior Scotland Yard source tells London newspaper the Evening Standard: “Someone went in there with the specific intention of stitching her up and we are investigating where the cocaine came from and who had the hidden camera.

“We want to question Kate Moss, but we are also interested in getting the whole picture.”

Moss has fallen from grace in the fashion world, having been dumped by high-profile fashion retailers Chanel, Burberry, H Stern and H&M after photos of her coke consumption were published in a British paper.

She recently entered a rehabiliation clinic in the U.S. to tackle her drug-addiction issues.

Kate Moss has banned her ex-boyfriend, Pete Doherty, from visiting her in rehab.

Moss is undergoing rehabilitation at the Arizona based institution, The Meadows.

Creating a list which allows only those ?closest to her? to see her is her way of saying back off Peter.

A “friend” said, “She really values her family’s support and doesn’t want anything to derail her recovery (meaning Doherty).”

Daughter of Mick Jagger, Lizzie has defended Moss claiming that “everyone? (in England) takes cocaine in her type of industry and feels there has been to much focus in the media on it.

“You have to deal with the bigger problem, not just blame her,” Lizzy explained to the press.

Moss is looking to get better as quickly as possible. She claims she wants to make amends with her business relationships and the public stated she will make it through her problem.

So what?

Kudos to Kate for wanting to rehabilitate herself. Who needs an ex around to make you remeber the bad times and feel down on yourself when your trying to create a permant pick me up that not illegal. She realizes she made a mistake and is willing to fix it. However?

This Lizzy chick needs to have a reality check. Yeah everyone knows that the entertainment industry is corrupted with drugs, sex, and alcohol but not everyone in Europe is a coke head.

Lizzy needs to stop making excuses for Moss and allow her to focus on getting better.

Chanel will not be renewing Kate Moss’s contact once it expires next month, but this has nothing to do with recent reports of the model’s cocaine use, says a company spokeswoman.

“Kate Moss has a contract until the end of October,” says Julie Le Blevec, adding, “We are not planning to stop the advertisements before then.

“The contract was always going to end in October.”

Moss, 31, has been the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume since 2002.

On Tuesday she was dropped from clothing retailer H&M’s upcoming advertising campaign after Britain’s Daily Mirror published photos of her snorting cocaine.

The photos and Moss’s own admission of cocaine consumption have prompted London police to launch an investigation into the model’s activities.

“We have to look at the impact of this kind of behaviour on impressionable young people and if there is evidence, something should be done about it,” says Sir Ian Blair, commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.

Drug dealers, not users, are usually the ones who are investigated, but the policy is “adaptable to the impact of events,” says Blair, who was involved in the decision to investigate Moss.

Model Kate Moss is no longer going to be the face of H&M.

The Swedish clothing chain said Tuesday it will drop the advertising campaign after Moss confirmed British tabloid reports of her cocaine use.

H&M had planned to use Moss to launch a new collection designed by Stella McCartney, due to hit 400 stores in November.

They had initially agreed to proceed with the campaign, but company spokeswoman Liv Asarnoj said, ?after evaluating the situation, we have decided that a campaign with Kate Moss is not consistent with H&Ms clear disassociation from drugs.?

H&M said Saturday that Moss had apologized for her drug use, and promised in writing to abide by a company policy that models be ?healthy, wholesome and sound.?

British media have reported that Moss earns approximately 4 million pounds a year through commercial contracts.
