Britney: 1, K-Fed: 0

The scales in the Britney-K-Fed world are perpetually skewed. One is doomed to be crazy or in rehab or bald while the other is acting the model parent for the paparazzi. It’s like a law of physics or something.

So, just as Spears began to clean up her act, Federline took a very public plunge into the depths of obesity, baring his flabby chest for the paparazzi at a pool in Miami on Saturday.

The photos available on JustJared.com, among other gossip websites, are disturbing at best, but they also beg the question as to how he can hang on to volleyball player girlfriend Victoria Prince. And obviously, how he snagged Spears in the first place?

Federline and Ex (Not Britney) Reunite

What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas.

Thankfully nothing happened between Kevin Federline and his ex Shar Jackson.

According to E! News, Federline surprised Jackson inside the VIP room of Blush Boutique nightclub at the Wynn.

The mother of two of Federline’s children was celebrating her 32nd birthday.

“A crowd came to see what all the commotion was and they found Shar and Kevin sharing some public affection,” an eyewitness reports. “Kevin showed up to wish her a happy birthday. They shared a very public embrace and kiss before Kevin left.”

However ex Mr. Spears and Jackson were not rekindling a romance.

“We were friends before we were a couple and we’re always going to be friends,” Jackson said. “We have two amazing kids together. Kevin is my boy.”

K-Fed Awarded Father of the Year

Kevin Federline was named Father of the Year by Privé Nightclub in Las Vegas, reports E! News.

While Federline went to Vegas to accept the award, the former Mr. Britney Spears left his sons Jayden James and Sean Preston back home in Los Angeles with a nanny. Apparently, the Father of the Year was a bit shy about accepting the award.

“The club had a trophy for him in the kitchen, but he didn’t want to get it in public,” a club source tells E! News.

Back in November 2007, “Details” magazine also crowned Federline with the title “Father of the Year.” K-Fed also has two children from a previous relationship with Shar Jackson.

Britney Gets Back Visitation Rights

Britney Spears has been reunited with her sons two months after the troubled star’s visitation rights were revoked.

Sean Preston and Jayden James spent Saturday morning with their mother during a court-monitored visit, E! News reports.

On hand for the visit were a court-appointed monitor, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears; ex-husband Kevin Federline’s security guard; and a lawyer.

Spears was reportedly not permitted to take the boys into another room without supervision.

K-fed and his lawyers set the rules for the visitation and credited Britney’s father for orchestrating the event.

“None of this would have happened if Jamie Spears had not been involved. That’s for sure,” Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News Friday.

“He gets a lot of credit for helping make this happen. But we’ve worked very hard with the conservator lawyers, as well, to make this all work.”

The boys have been living with Federline in Tarzana since October after Spears was stripped of her visitation privileges when she refused to give her sons back to her ex-husband after a monitored visit.

Spears has since spent time under mental evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Britney Ditches Deposition, K-Fed’s Camp Pissed

Britney Spears is finding time to party but not to attend scheduled court sessions in the bitter ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Spears missed a morning disposition last week and blamed the last-minute no show on “high levels of anxiety”, E! Online reports. Spears, however, seemed to recover rather quickly as she was spotted out on the town later that night.

Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has spoken out against the pop star’s erratic behaviour several times and after the latest bailed deposition, Kaplan slammed the star.

He called Spears’ irresponsibility inexcusable and since this is not the first time Spears has ignored court orders, he vowed to seek legal repercussions.
“I’m not mad – I can move forward with or without her,” he told reporters according to E! Online. “But there will be a request to the court to address some kind of remedy to what I see as a willful nonappearance.”

Spears’ lawyers are calling that “willful nonappearance” a “medical condition” but her fast recovery is unsettling for Federline’s lawyers.

“She was in fact out later that day and night,” Kaplan said. “This deposition was a court-ordered proceeding. So, it’s a serious thing.

“It’s not fourth grade, where you get a doctor’s note and it’s all okay. She was ordered to attend. And if there’s a legitimate reason for her not to attend, she would have to establish that.”

Britney’s BFF Bails on K-Fed

Sam Lutfi, a close friend of Britney Spears, failed to appear in court Friday, after being subpoenaed and called to testify in the ongoing Spears-Federline custody battle.

E! News reports Britney’s trusted confidante missed the appointment but that Kevin Federline’s lawyers will file a motion to compel Lutfi to appear for questioning in January.

The November 7 subpoena was not the first time K-Fed’s people attempted to get Lutfi to testify about Spears’ habits and behavior. Before he was finally served, it is reported that K-Fed’s camp had been trying to get hold of him since August.

E! News reports that Lutfi has spent plenty of time with Spears and her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Other friends of the troubled singer have been called to testify, including the star’s cousin, Alli Sims and former manager Larry Rudolph.

Britney and K-Fed’s Custody Battle: To be Continued

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were set to finally settle their ongoing baby tug-of-war drama in a highly anticipated courtroom showdown on Friday.

Throughout the nearly three-hour, closed-door session, Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon reportedly grilled Spears and Federline.

However, instead of giving an immediate ruling, the commissioner let the saga continue and is not slated to give a written ruling until Monday or Tuesday.

K-Fed currently has full custody of their two boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, while Spears only is allowed visitations accompanied by a court-appointed monitor or parenting coach.

Spears’ attorneys are seeking to regain shared custody of the boys for the pop star. The session was closed to the media but it was reported that a visibly distraught and emotional Spears left the proceedings three times to go to the bathroom.

One reporter claims Spears yelled expletives at him when he asked the singer how she was doing.

Friday’s face-off adds another chapter to the continuing media frenzy surrounding Spears and Federline’s fight for their kids.

K-Fed ‘Happy’ With Teen Choice Performance

Despite the fact that bloggers all over the world have condemned it, K-Fed is happy with his performance on the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night, the Chicago Tribune reports.

“I’m happy. I think I pulled it off pretty well. [But] I’m overly critical of myself,” Kevin Federline, husband of Britney Spears, said of his performance.

Obviously he is not as critical as the internet or some bloggers have been.

As for what his wife?

“We went straight from there and jumped in the Ferrari and took off. [Britney] was happy, she was proud,” he told People magazine.

K-Fed’s album is expected to drop in October.

K-Fed to Perform at Teen Choice Awards

If you’re curious to hear Kevin Federline’s first single off his forthcoming album performed live, you only have to wait one more month.

According to a press release from Fox, K-Fed will perform his single, “Lose Control,” at the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 20 and airing on Fox.

Rumoured couple Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson are co-hosts of the eighth annual awards show, which hands out trophies for everything from movies to music to sports figures.

K-Fed’s album is set to be released sometime after his performance on the awards show.
