Mac Miller dropped his trippy new video “America” just in time for July 4. Mac raps from a red lit room with the U.S. flag draped across his shoulders: ”Got my middle finger up with a cup and a dutch split/Hand on my nuts when I’m wilin’ out in public/Welcome to America, motherf*cker, welcome to America”
Meanwhile, his crew appropriately throws up their middle fingers behind him while crazy animated doodles create a whole new commentary. The song also features Casey Veggies and Joey Bada$$ who appear in the Mike Waxx and Mike Carson-directed video as well.

This is how true Americans celebrate July 4th. Well, frat boys at least… With a little patriotism, you can really fly. [Source]

In the new official clip for Katy Perry: Part of Me we get a behind the scenes look at a costume fitting for, what else, a three-tiered, multi-coloured cake with lollipops, ice cream cones and other bonbons attached to the icing.
We also see a gigantic peacock outfit (remember that one?) and a dress with swirling candy canes (literally).
The movie will be out on the fourth of July weekend and from this clip we get a bit of the Alice and Wonderland, and Dorothy in Oz element of Katy’s life.
“I feel a real connection to fairytales and I think that in some ways I live in a fairytale,” she says in the clip.”

MTV’s Jersey Shore isn’t a fabrication of life in Seaside Heights, N.J. – people in that beach town really are crazy. And when it’s a celebration like July 4, prepare for some craziness to go down.
Gather.com reports thousands took to the boardwalk for the fireworks display. Of that group, 62 people were arrested, 32 were arrested for disorderly persons offenses while the rest were arrested for interfering with law enforcement, assault and drug possession. It became so out of hand that cops shut down the boardwalk at 1am.
So Snooki, The Situation, etc are not exaggerations of life in the Jersey Shore. We are not sure if that is comforting or not.
In the spirit of the 4th of July, PopEater and The Insider teamed up to find their audience’s favorite American. And it turns out to be Sandra Bullock.
With over 163,000 votes submitted, 63% of people chose Sandra Bullock. Other options for the favorite American included Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Kristen Stewart and Lady Gaga.
On the flip side, the audience was asked to cast their vote for the most embarrassing American. No surprise, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt won, garnering 37% of the votes. Other candidates included Jon Gosselin, John Mayer, Tiger Woods and Jesse James.
