Her lover may have died on “Grey’s Anatomy,” but in real life Katherine Heigl’s love life has hit a milestone.

The actress, who plays Isobel “Izzie” Stevens on the hit ABC show, is engaged to her boyfriend of just over a year, singer Josh Kelley.

The news was first reported by People Magazine and was confirmed by Heigl?s publicist to E! Online on Monday.

According to E! Online, the couple first met when Heigl was cast for Kelley’s video for his hit song “Only You.” The couple began dating soon after. No wedding date has been announced. It will be the first marriage for both.
