Kate Gosselin appeared on the daytime talk show “Regis and Kelly” explaining that her eight kids hate staying at Jon Gosselin’s apartment in New York City.

“I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home,” Kate explained on the show.

Kate further explained that the kids don’t feel comfortable in Jon’s apartment, and would prefer staying at their Pennsylvania home. Additionally she also claims Jon has been an absentee Dad. ”It’s only been three months that he’s actually been spending time with them and taking them.”

Jon struck back to Kate’s comments via Twitter.

As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am “rising above”, and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what’s important.

We always thought Jon and Kate would end up on “Celebrity Rehab,” but we are changing that view. Their eight kids are going to be the ones ending up on that show. Imagine having two nut case parents like Kate and Jon. We can only assume stripper poles and cocaine are only around the corner.

When I was ambushed this morning with yet another sickening “Jon and Kate” story, I asked for the first time:  ”Who the hell is taking care of their eight children?” For the past month, these two have been the subject of constant interviews and “celebrity” sightings, but I never see their kids with them.

Yet Kate Gosselin claimed that she did it all for the kids, but it’s clearly not the case. Several testimonies from sources close to the family, including her estranged husband Jon, reported that the show was having a negative affect on the children. The layers of bullshit continue to pile on.

Gosselin’s tortured desperation for attention has shoved her entire family into the wrong spotlight. Along with the Balloon Boy fiasco, they’ve set an example for prostituting their children – and dignity – for the opportunity at fame and wealth.

Reality shows used to just be a cheap entertainment pursuit for individuals with unique character or talent, but now they’re beginning to have a profound affect on the people who don’t know any better; the next generation. Reality shows are becoming a midlife crisis attempt for parents looking for excitement.

As long as people continue to pay any attention to this crap, it will continue to happen.

There is nothing artistic about this entertainment, if you can even call it that, and it should be treated like the most mundane, insignificant news you’ve ever heard, because that’s exactly what it is.
