Pop Eater is reporting that Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden has finally wed his long-time girlfriend (and mother of his two children) Nicole Ritchie in what is being called a “glamorous, old Hollywood affair.”
The guest list (which despite earlier reports of being “close family only” ended up sitting at around 130) included some of today’s biggest entertainers including Gwen Stefani, Ashlee Simpson, and Kris Jenner. We can only presume that daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 1, also joined the couple as they took their vows.
Though largely shrouded in secrecy, it has been confirmed that the wedding was an outdoor affair and somehow involved a (very well trained) elephant.
Elephants are so in this season after all!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are officially engaged. The couple announced their plans to marry last night on David Letterman.
Although the episode won’t air until Friday, their publicist had no comment at this time and the couple have yet to post anything on Twitter.
Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, 30, has announced he’s working on a memoir, reports Perez Hilton.
“It would be about, mostly, the big changes in my life: kids, relationships, moving to L.A., the big life changes that I’ve gone through,” he said. “I’m lightly working on one, but I don’t want to put a book out there if it’s not actually meaningful. I’m not going to go there unless I can deliver. If I put a book out, I want it to be something that matters to me. It has to be real, you can’t just put a book out, to put a book out.”
Madden,30, and girlfriend Nicole Richie, 27, are expecting their second child at the end of the summer. They already have a daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born Jan. 11, 2008.
Joel Madden won’t be looking to book with British Airways during vacations any time soon.According to E! News, the Good Charlotte star was ordered to hide his tattoos before he boarded a British Airways flight from London to Lisbon on Saturday evening.
“Was just told by a british air person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts,” he twittered. “I really actually am in shock he won’t let me on the plane till I put long sleeves on and other BA rep is disagreeing.”
“The guy was disgusted by me,” continued Madden, who threatened the to write a huge complaint letter. However, the artist agreed to cover up his arms and put on a long sleeve shirt.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have announced that they are expecting another child. E! News reports that with a 1 year old and a new baby on the way, Richie and Madden are going to have their hands full.
In a blog posting on his band’s website, the Good Charlotte frontman writes:
“What’s better than winning an Oscar? I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope your all feeling as good as i am right now.”
21-year-old Richie and 29-year-old Madden announced their first pregnancy on July 31, 2007, due in early January 2008. In February 2008, Richie introduced her daughter, Harlow, in People magazine. Richie told the magazine that “she gives life a whole new meaning and a whole new purpose.” She also swore to desert her former bad-girl ways, and adopt a new lifestyle in order to set a good example for her first child.
The happily unmarried couple welcomed daughter Harlow on January 11, 2008. Richie and Madden have been together since December 2006.

Richie, who has just given birth to five-month-old daughter Harlow with partner Joel Madden, has recently revealed that she wants a companion for her baby.
“Nicole is dying to have a sibling for Harlow who is close in age. She doesn’t want them to be more than two years apart, so that they can be best friends forever,” a source tells the magazine.
Richie sparked that she is pregnant again after being spotted wearing a flowing lilac “maternity-style” top.
“The top was not something Nicole usually wears. She ordinarily goes for tight T-shirts and vest tops. The other unusual thing was that she was wearing comfy sheepskin boots and not her usual heels – the boots definitely looked like something a pregnant woman would wear,” said an on-looker.
Joel Madden posted on his band’s website that he and girlfriend Nicole Richie got married over the weekend. However, “The Good Charlotte” rocker was only kidding when he wrote the blog entry “We Did It! Nicole and I Finally Got Married!!”
According to E! News, Madden decided to post the blog after receiving several calls and texts from family and friends regarding his marriage to Richie.
Madden wrote:
“So I feel really stupid even posting this, but I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one. So I just found out that Star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and that’s where it came from. Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don’t blame me, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two…”
Since the birth of daughter Harlow, mom Nicole Richie has become a lot closer to her birth mother. Now, her rocker fiancé has done the same with his dad, according to gossip site PerezHilton.com
Ever since walking out on the family over 10 years ago, Joel and his twin brother Benjii have not spoken to their father Roger Combs. Ever since the birth of Harlow, however, Combs says he began receiving text messages from his sons.
Recently after holding his granddaughter for the first time, Combs tells In Touch Weekly magazine: “It was a wonderful moment. She’s such a beautiful girl. I felt very proud.”
Even Richie is giving Combs some love.
“I was talking to Joel on the phone one day, and [Nicole] grabbed the phone from him and said, ‘Let me talk to him now. I want to talk to my dad,” says Combs.

In bizarre celebrity news, Paris Hilton’s and Joel Madden’s dogs are dating.
According to Joel Madden’s brother and Good Charlotte band mate Benji Madden, Hilton’s Chihuahua Tinkerbell has been quite attached to Joel’s Pit-bull Terrier Eazy.
Following a party at Hilton’s house, Benji wrote on his band’s website: “We just found out that Eazy, Joel’s dog, and Tinkerbell are now seeing each other. She seems happy; we wish them the best…”
While Benji and Paris have been dating for three months and are reportedly planning to marry, Paris’ close friend Nicole Richie is engaged to Joel—who is also the father of Richie’s five-month-old daughter Harlow.
Hilton has once claimed to have 600 pets in her various homes.
Joel Madden, who has a baby with Nicole Richie, says their daughter Harlow likes to listen to “The Cure.”
“She likes a lot of Disney stuff and classical. She likes Good Charlotte. And she likes her granddad [Lionel Richie]‘s music. She likes old stuff. She’s a Cure fan … She likes The Cure,” says Madden.
Madden flew to the Hamptons for the Memorial Day Weekend to DJ at La Playa in Southampton but the singer is not planning on staying.
“The Hamptons are definitely a good place to hang out for the whole summer,” Madden tells “People” magazine. “But I’m a dad now. I’d be staying if I didn’t have the girls at home. That’s why I’m going home.”
Nicole Richie has denied reports by Page Six that she was smoking this weekend in New York.
The pregnant Richie apparently wasn’t even in the States at the time of the two reported incidents. She is traveling abroad with boyfriend Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. Her rep told “Extra” that the reports were “irresponsible and untrue.”
Meanwhile, Richie and Madden have delayed their wedding plans.
It looks like the Nicole Richie-Joel Madden pairing wasn’t just a one-night stand.
The itty-bitty celebutante and Good Charlotte singer have been inseparable since he was dumped by long time teen GF, Hilary Duff.

It now seems their relationship is picking up speed.
Madden, 27, was listed as Richie’s emergency contact person in paperwork filed in relation to her DUI charges earlier this week, Page Six reports. Richie, 25, was arrested early Monday morning for driving under the influence of marijuana and Vicodin, after she was seen driving the wrong way down a California highway
Richie was then photographed the next day on the L.A. set of a music video for Good Charlotte with Madden.

Duff and Madden, who went public with their relationship two months before Duff turned 18, posed in their first cover together for the February 2006 issue of the magazine. In it, they try to convince readers just how normal their relationship is, despite the fact that tattooed rocker Madden, 26, is eight years older than the perky blonde starlet, and that the two began dating when Duff was still underage.
“You’re automatically prejudging us because Joel has tattoos or I have blond hair,” Duff told Teen People. “He has tattoos so he’s bad, I smile all the time so I’m perfect.”
But the couple said they balance each other out, with Madden actually being the one who watches out for Duff while his girlfriend drags him off the couch. ?She?s made me more social,? said the GC frontman. ?It’s not me going, ‘Come on, Hilary, get on a motorcycle and ride into the sunset to a raging party!’ ”
Madden added that he wasn?t worried about what the public would think of his relationship with the Disney princess. “I didn’t care what the press would say,” he said. “I cared what my mom would say.”
The couple said they are taking it slow, with Duff gushing, “Joel is the most respectful boyfriend I’ve ever had. We had five or six dates before we even kissed.”
“This is the slowest relationship, physically, that I’ve had,” Madden said. “It’s grown at the right pace, organically and naturally.”
Madden envisions a long relationship with the singer-actress, but said they?re not thinking about marriage yet. He also let it slip that if he had a daughter Duff?s age, he wouldn?t let her date a guy his age. “I wouldn’t let it happen.?
In any case, Duff said she is very comfortable with Joel, and added, ?we know we’re not going anywhere.”
Hopefully, that doesn?t mean Madden will be jumping on couches and the duo will be grinning at each other on ABC Primetime any time soon.
