Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson Wentz’s father, Joe Simpson, is creating a comedy for Nickelodeon based on his experiences raising his two famous daughters, reports E! News. The show, a collaboration with Tommy Lynch, is reportedly based on the family’s pre-fame life in Texas.
Granted, parenthood is complex. Children need unconditional love, stability and guidance.

When parents fail to provide any of those needs, you end up with the childhood version of Drew Barrymore.
Based on the number of celebs who have entered rehab in recent years, it’s obvious that more than a handful have some loose screws. While many blame a star’s inability to adjust to a lifestyle of fame and fortune for their problems, perhaps more responsibility should be placed on those who have raised them.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz announced their engagement last week, and now there are rumours that it may be a shotgun wedding.
OK! Magazine is reporting that 23-year-old Simpson is pregnant, and is due in October.
Simpson’s father, Joe, is a minister.
A source for the magazine said that Simpson and Wentz are “perfect for each other as any two people could be. They don’t spend a minute apart if they can possibly avoid it and are over the moon about the baby.”
As for wedding plans, the source said that “They’re planning on something in the Santa Barbara area probably by the end of May. Ashlee would like to walk down the aisle before she’s showing – although she is very cute the way she is always checking out her belly now and asking everyone, ‘am I showing yet?’ She’s leaning towards Vera Wang for her gown. Pete and his groomsmen are probably going to be in Dolce & Gabbana.”
Joe Simpson, creepy dad of Jessica and Ashlee, is launching his own restaurant chain.
The chain will be called Daisy Dukes, taking its name from the character Jessica played in The Dukes of Hazzard, and will be a barbecue-style diner.
The first restaurant will open in in Las Vegas, Nevada next year and will open at other locations across America after that.
