Last night, Kanye West went on a Twitter binge. He tweeted 86 times in just three hours. That’s  one tweet every one and a half minutes.

Because Kanye announced on Twitter he’ll be starting up a design company called DONDA (named after his late mother), Jimmy Kimmel poked up at the idea on his late night talk show.

“Kanye’s spreading himself too thin. He barely has time to interrupt award shows now,” Kimmel joked.

The producers for Kimmel’s show put together a commercial for DONDA, using some of Kanye’s best tweets. One of them includes my personal favourite: “My favourite unit of measurement is “a shitload”.

The boys from “Jersey Shore” paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel last night to talk about the new season. Below are some highlights from the chat:

- Vinny does leave the show at one point in the season. ”It got real for me for a little bit and I had to take care of myself,” Vinny said, noting severe difficulties balancing his life and the show’s demanding schedule. “But you’ll see — a good thing ends up coming out of it.”

- “It was a big shock to us … he was like the voice of reason in the house,” says The Situation about Vinny.

- Pauly D says,” You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone,” regarding Vinny.

- Pauly D talked about his spinoff, and The Situation mentioned he has something going on. ”Everybody’s got their own things going on,” he said. “I don’t know if we’re allowed to discuss everything.”

One of the most candid comedians out there, Kathy Griffin, was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to discuss her recent outings, including being seated next to Kim Kardashian at a benefit breakfast.

At the “100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment” event, Kathy was placed between Nancy Grace and Kim Kardashian.

“I can’t imagine Kim showing up for anything at 9 ‘o’clock in the morning,” Jimmy says.

“Well, she did look a lot like a dirty whore,” Kathy exclaims. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say ‘dirty’ whore, I mean ‘filthy’ whore.”

The controversial comedian went on to say how Kim looked really fake up close with her phony hair extensions and her “Genie in a Bottle” make-up. It was hard for Kathy to hold a conversation with the reality star because she’s “super stupid”.

Kathy’s banter got a ton of laughs from the host and the audience but I bet you $5 if any of the Kardashians are watching, they’ll be bitching about it on Twitter any minute now.

Lady Gaga really is a courteous celebrity who cares about her fans. She is so appreciative of them that Gaga sprung for some McDonald’s.

Gaga was getting ready at the Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont Hotel to perform on Jimmy Kimmel. Fans flocked to the venue once they heard who was inside. When Gaga heard about the crowd gathering outside, she bought them all some fast food.

Afterwards, she sent down a note saying:

“Dear little monsters. Thank you for singing to me all day and night. I love you with all my heart.

“You make everyday worth living. Kisses to the cops for keeping you safe. Love Lady Gaga.”‘

That was really nice of Gaga, but did she have to buy McDonald’s? Not exactly a healthy meal. Perhaps a nice fruit plate would have been better? Or some sushi? She can afford it.

Good news “Lost” fans! Although many of you are having problems dealing with the finale of the series on May 23, there are some big plans in the works to say goodbye.

Executive Producer Carlton Cuse sent a tweet last week that ”Lost Live: The Final Celebration,” will take place at UCLA’s Royce Hall on May 13.

Variety reports that ABC hasn’t officially announced any plans for the event, but according to Cuse, the event will feature a live orchestra — conducted by Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (who serves as “Lost’s” composer) — performing music from the show.

Additionally during final broadcast on the 23rd, ABC will be dedicating five hours of programming to the show. The night will include a two hour retrospective, the two-hour episode, and then a special all “Lost” episode of Jimmy Kimmelat midnight.

Quite frankly, we find it rather appalling that we would be omitted from this. Recently in a star studded post Academy Awards Show, Jimmy Kimmel featured a segment on a league of extraordinary handsome gentlemen. Among which were the likes of Mathew McConaughey, Patrick Dempsy, Matt Damon, Lenny Kravitz, Ben Afleck, Sting and many other Hollywood studs. To be blunt we’re upset. No, upset isn’t strong enough description. We’re appalled.

How could they plan this segment without even considering andPOP’s two golden boys? We’re handsome, funny and we’re on XM Radio. To be fair, we’re not 100 percent sure Jimmy Kimmel has heard our show on channel 153. Regardless, we would like to make a plea to the online community to lobby with us. Controversy or not, American Idol-runner-up Adam Lambert made his chart debut at #3 this week. For Your Entertainment sold almost 200,000 albums in its first week, overtaking the New Moon soundtrack, following his controversial performance at the AMAs in New York City.

It’s no surprise then that Lambert has been invited for an interview on Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 television special which will air Dec. 9. Walters has also enlisted Lady Gaga, Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8, vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, NFL quarterback Brett Favre, filmmaker Tyler Perry, Fox News host Glenn Beck, South Carolina’s first lady Jenny Sanford, and Michael Jackson’s three children, Paris, Prince Michael and Prince Michael II.

Adam Lambert is an interesting candidate, as the majority of his appeal has popped up following his AMA appearance. Openly gay, Lambert used his performance of “For Your Entertainment” to showcase a display of sado-masochistic sexuality, then shoved a male-dancer’s face into his nether-regions and kissed his keyboardist. The event caused such a stir he was dropped from ABC’s Good Morning America (the same network that airs Barbara Walters 20/20).

“Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning,” an ABC News spokesperson said.

The CBS rival The Early Show was quick to snap up Lambert for a spot to discuss the performance, some of which was cut when the AMAs re-aired on the U.S. West coast.

This week, Lambert was informed ABC cancelled his spots on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. But he is still busy, with upcoming spots on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and the Jay Leno Show.

Lambert told Rolling Stone any cuts to his song would be “discrimination.”

“My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom,” said Lambert. “I think it’s up to the parents to discern what their child is watching on television. Lady Gaga smashing whiskey bottles, Janet Jackson grabbing a male dancer’s crotch, Eminem talking about how Slim Shady has 17 rapes under his belt — there was a lot of very adult material on the AMAs this year and I know I wasn’t the only one.

“The minute a man does it, everybody freaks out.”

Eminem and Jimmy Kimmel plan to fly approximately 200 laid-off autoworkers to Los Angeles for a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Friday.

“The auto workers, many of whom live and work in the Detroit area and are affected by the auto industry crisis, will come to Los Angeles to enjoy a rare talk and musical performance by Eminem,” ABC said in a statement.

Eminem, who is originally from Detroit, said he and late-night host Kimmel wanted to remind everyone about those affected by job losses in the Michigan city. Though his publicist, the rapper told the Detroit Free Press that the media has ignored the many people who have lost their jobs in the auto industry without getting big payouts.

Eminem said he and Kimmel are looking forward to showing the former autoworkers “a good time while we’re at it.”

Detroit has been hit especially hard by the economic recession.  The Motor City has one of the highest unemployment rates in the U.S. at 22 per cent, almost three times the national average.

Eminem, who is also slated to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on May 19 and 22, is currently promoting his first studio album in four years, “Relapse.” The album will hit store shelves on May 19.

Hopefully Matt Damon has nothing to do with this.

Us magazine has confirmed that one of comedies cutest couples, Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel, have broken up. They were together for five years.

A source told the mag that the hilarious pair remain friends. Their reps confirmed the news but had no further comment.

Kimmel was previously married for 14 years, and divorced in 2002. He met Silverman at the roast of Hugh Hefner, where she called him fat and said he had no charisma. We’ll miss them!

Sarah Silverman, who as we all know has been f—ing Matt Damon, took out an ad with Damon in Variety congratulating her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel on reaching his 1,000th show, people.com reports.

The ad is a full page, with a picture of Silverman and Damon after playing tennis. It says: “Jimmy, Happy 1,000th episode to the best show in late night! Love Sarah and Matt.”

The ad is part of the running joke that began with Silverman confessing through a music video she’s been sleeping with Damon. Kimmel struck back with his own video, admitting he’s been sleeping with Damon’s best friend, Ben Affleck.

Back when The Backstreet Boys and N’Sync were in the height of their popularity, most 15-year-old girls would have done anything to tour with them. But Mandy Moore, who did just that, told Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday that it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

“I don’t even think they knew I was there,” she said of her one-time tour mates. “I had a crush on a different guy every day of the week!” adding that Justin Timberlake was her number one obsession at the time.

Unfortunately, Timberlake didn’t exactly whisper sweet nothings to the “Candy” teenybopper. “He told me, ‘You have big feet for a girl,’” Mandy recalled. “I think he was trying to be cute.”

It was meant for laughs, but Britney Spears wasn’t laughing.

People reports that a skit at last night’s American Music Awards in which Jimmy Kimmel packed a fake Kevin Federline into a box before hurling him into the ocean, offended Spears, who put on a smile when she went on the stage to present an award a few minutes later.

“Britney was blindsided and upset. Some (of Spears’ associates) were with her, and they were pissed. They asked that it not be shown on the (West Coast) feed,” a source close to Spears said.

Representatives at Spears’ record company, and for K-Fed, did not release statements on the events, but Kimmel did.

“I knew they wouldn’t mind because I know they both have great senses of humour,” the late night talk show host said.

After announcing their retirement in June, Destiny?s Child has at last taken their final bows. The superstar trio gave what was billed their last performance yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The late-night show host handed over the entire hour to the chart-topping R&B group as they performed both indoors and outdoors in front of 1,000 lucky fans. Radio contest winners were flown in from across the United States to witness Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland sing their hits “Survivor,” and their new single, ?Stand Up for Love? for the last time.

However, mourning fans shouldn?t rule out a future reunion. Asked by Kimmel if the split would be permanent, Rowland replied, “You never know.?

Rowland added that the group is parting amicably. ?I think the most beautiful thing is that we’re not parting because there were problems,? she said. ?We’re parting because we’re celebrating each others’ growth.”

Destiny?s Child released a greatest hits album, #1?s, earlier this month. It shot to the top of the Billboard 200 chart in its first week of sales.
