The official trailer for the new American gangster drama ‘Lawless’ is out and it looks totally wicked.
Set in Virginia during the Depression-era, the film is based on the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers (played by Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy), two bootlegging siblings who are threatened by authorities who want a cut of their profits.
While I see a couple of parallels between this flick and ‘Gangster Squad‘, it’ll definitely be interesting to see LaBeouf acting in something a little more different than the Transformers movies. I can’t wait to see him broaden his acting horizons!
Set to release on August 29, the film directed by John Hillcoat also features a star-studded cast. Already receiving positive reviews from the Cannes Film Festival, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clare, Gary Oldman and Mia Wasikowska also star in the movie.

The rumour-mill has been flying with reports on Jessica Chastain being cast as the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in the upcoming biopic Caught in Flight.
If cast in the Oliver Hirschbiegel film, Chastain will play the late princess in a reenactment of the scandalous two-year alleged affair with Dr. Hasnat Khan, two years leading to her death.
Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Gossip Cop says this is quite exciting news.
Other actresses who have been rumored to portray the influential and loved princess in rivaling biopics include Keira Knightly, Scarlett Johansson, and Charlize Theron.

While Knightly has the natural British-royalty air to her personality, Theron would do Diana’s beauty justice. However, with the wide range of Chastain’s recent past projects (Tree of Life, Take Shelter), it seems that she might just be able to pull this one off. It will definitely be interesting to see which actress will succeed in portraying Princess Diana captivatingly.
The Diana-biopics aren’t the only royally-influenced project; a film centering on six months in 1962 in the life of the late actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly is in the works. However, no actress has been cast as the lovely Grace just yet. Let the speculations begin!
