When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.

Jesse is also busy back in the studio working on a new album. He also debuted a new fragrance this year called “Wanted By Jesse.”

It looks like Bieber’s compensating for his recent dramatic haircut by growing some hair a little further south. That’s right: the Biebs is putting a ‘stache on it!
Justin tweeted the following message to his fans:
“im not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache. i’m pumped.”
Aww, what a precious delicate flower! We’d love to see you try to grow a mustache…emphasis on the word ‘try.’ Lolz!
Be careful Biebs…remember what happened to teen heartthrobs Jesse McCartney and the Jonas Brothers when they grew up! Preteens like to spend their money on the young and babyfaced…and we know how much you like to spend YOUR money on GF Selena Gomez.
Don’t rush it! Stay young and keep the ca$h rolling in!
Hip-Hop and RnB sensation Jesse McCartney, of “No stress, no stress, no stress” fame, is joining the world of musician/actor crossovers.
Perez Hilton is reporting that McCartney landed a significant starring role on a new TV show pilot for FOX entitled Locke and Key. You see what they did there? It’s like a ‘lock’ and a ‘key’ but its actually two last names! Amazing, FOX. Just amazing, amazing work.
Anyway, McCartney, the Aaron Carter spawn-off, will play one of three sons on a show reportedly about “Nina Locke and her three children, who return to their Massachusetts home after Nina’s husband is murdered, where they are ‘pestered by an evil entity that’s determined to hold the family hostage one way or another until it gets what it wants’”.
To tell you the truth, that sounds like the opposite of “No stress, no stress, no stress.” That sounds like stress!!!
When Jesse McCartney released his third and latest album “Departure” back in May 2008, he wanted to prove that - like any 21-year-old – he was no longer a kid.
It was an attempt by the upstate New York-born artist to shed the boy-band stint and Radio Disney image of the past, and head towards a more sophisticated and savvy urban-pop image for the future.
Now almost a year later, McCartney has yet to prove his new look – but he’s not about to give up.
McCartney has decided to put forth a re-released version of the record titled “Departure Recharged,” due out on April 7, which features five new tracks.
“My goal for this is to really push it over the edge,” McCartney tells andPOP. “For the people who haven’t heard it yet, I wanna give them another chance to buy it, and for the fans who already have it, well now they have five new additional songs that they’ve never heard before. I’m really confident in the new singles, including ‘Leavin’ Part 2,’ which would be a great song for the summer.”
Two pop powerhouses are joining forces to take on North America this summer.
Jordin Sparks and Jesse McCartney will hit the road in August for a 16-date tour dubbed “Jesse & Jordin Live.”
The singers kick off their trek August 5 in Sacramento, CA and wrap up August 30 in Greensboro, NC.
There is one Canadian stop on the schedule so far, August 27 at Toronto’s Sound Academy.
McCartney, 21, had high praise for his tourmate and last year’s American Idol champ.
“Jordin has the most incredible voice,” he said in a statement. “She’s one of those pure talents you don’t see a lot of in this business. I can’t wait to get out there with her.”
Sparks, 18, had similar praise for McCartney, who recently found additional success as co-writer of Leona Lewis’ hit single “Bleedin’ Love.”
“I am really excited to be going out and sharing the stage with someone as talented as Jesse McCartney,” she said. “He brings a soulful voice, heart of gold and his good looks to the stage every night, and I can’t wait to share it with him.”
McCartney is also scheduled to appear on “Jay Leno” July 25, where he will perform “Leavin’” off his latest album “Departure.”

“The record is called Departure for a number of reasons,” says Jesse McCartney, whose multi-platinum 2004 debut album Beautiful Soul launched his career as an international singing star. “There have been departures in my career, in my personal life. I’ve learned a lot since doing my first couple of records. I think I’ve landed in the most comfortable place I’ve ever been musically as the style of music, my vocals and the lyrical content of the songs on this album. I co-wrote several songs on the new album, and learned a lot from the producers I worked with. In the process of writing for my own project, I wound up writing “Bleeding Love” with Ryan Tedder for Leona Lewis. Departure has a little more of mature sound than what my fans previously heard from me but this is the road that I’m on right now and it’s the road that I believe they’ll join with me!”
andPOP caught up with Jesse McCartney in Toronto to chat about the new album.
