Jennifer Lawrence and Sarah Jessica Parker share a moment on the red carpet.
It can be tough to find the right outfit for the Met Gala. There’s so much pressure to be dressed the best and the competition is steep! Like I said in Part 1, this year’s punk theme might have been a bit too high concept for some people to wrap their heads around. So while some celebrities made some honest but failed attempts at going punk, some celebrities completely ignored the theme all together. So here are our choices for the ones who did not quite make the best dressed list and the ones who completely missed the mark all together.
The Blahs
There’s a lot of the classic Taylor Swift elements going on in the dress, but I find the black so jarring on Swift. Perhaps if this was in Swift’s go to white colour it would work better.
Blake Lively looks like she is channeling her inner Black Swan, but there’s nothing very punk about this.
I love Jennifer Lawrence but this just seems like a case where a celebrity was contractually obligated to wear this design. J. Law is the face of Miss Dior so it makes sense why this happened. It’s pretty but not amazing.

When Jennifer Lawrence attended the famous MET Gala on Monday, she did something that made us love her even more: she photobombed Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker. In an attempt to liven up the event, Jennifer expressed her excitement of being there by jumping into Sarah’s shot on the red carpet. Seriously can we just be best friends with this girl? Even Marion Cotillard is loving her quirkiness.
Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult fans rejoice! It looks like the two might be rekindling their romance.
The two first met on the set of X-Men:First Class and will be reuniting (at least on screen) for the sequel, X-Men:Days of Future Past next July. News broke in January that the pair sadly decided to go their separate ways after two years of being together due to reasons of simply “falling apart.” But by the looks of these recent photos of them two walking out of a Hollywood restaurant Monday night, it seems like they may be giving their relationship another go.
This begs me to wonder if this is due to the fact that her Silver Linings Playbook co-star, Bradley Cooper, has recently started dating 20-year old British model Suki Waterhouse? During promo of the Oscar nominated movie, speculations began that Bradley and Jennifer may have had a thing for one another since they were spending so much time together.
Whatever the reason, “Jicholas?”/”Ninnifer” (?!!) fans will be happy to see these two back together.
It’s been barely a year since the first instalment of the wildly popular book series the Hunger Games made its way to the big screen. While it may seem an incredibly quick turnaround, the sequel in its film franchise will be be here sooner than you know it.
A new trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiered Sunday during the MTV Movie Awards. Liam Hemsworth, a.k.a. Thor’s little brother/Miley Cyrus’ maybe fiancé/Gale, was on hand to introduce the two and half minute trailer to viewers. In it, we see more drama, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen both looking spectacular and being such a badass, and some quick insight into the tyrannical thinking of President Snow.
Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to be released in theatres November 22, 2013.
You know when you’re trying to catch a movie, you always factor in the time it takes for the trailers to roll and the title cards to play? It’s that little bit of time that makes you go, “why yes, I can be a little late to this movie. Let me grab some more M&Ms and squirt a little bit more butter on my popcorn like the true ‘foodie’ I am.”
Well, if that movie began with this overly enthused (and most likely drugged up) Skrillex fan as the MGM Lion, I would never never be late for a movie again.
Obviously, repetition gets a little boring, so maybe MGM can switch it up from time to time with Jennifer Lawrence:
Who would you prefer to see? Jennifer Lawrence or the drugged up Skrillex fan? Comment and tell us below!
There’s just something about Jennifer Lawrence that makes you want to be her BFF. From her quirky interviews, down to earth personality and her endless appreciation for food, it’s clear everyone wants JLaw to stick around.
In fact, her personality is so infectious that even her facial expressions are priceless. Constantly making funny faces, wouldn’t it be awesome if every movie intro started with her face? (SOURCE)
I mean, it would just be more exciting…
With her face in the logo, you’d actually wake up and pay attention…
In comparison, this is just boring…
So therefore, JLaw = WIN.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar win and general flawlessness has pretty much solidified that she is the woman of the internet’s dreams. She’s funny, smart and doesn’t mind making a fool out of herself. While she was meant to play the role of The Hunger Games‘ Katniss Everdeen, we also think she had another major role only meant for her in the stars: The MGM Lion.
Because you know it’s going to be a good movie when the first thing you see is Jennifer Lawrence.
Years later, we have to admit Uncle Jesse is still a total babe. No wonder Jennifer Lawrence told Conan O’Brian that she was like a “perverted guy” when she spotted John Stamos at a party.
But looking back at old photos, it’s kind of difficult to explain why everyone had a crush on Michelle Tanner’s cool, guitar playing uncle. Because how you explain the allure of a lamé shirt? Or impeccably feathered hair? You really can’t; not now, not ever. But hey, what happened has happened and here are some of John Stamos’ most embarrassing looks.

In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Jennifer Lawrence is flawless after snagging an Oscar, One Directioner Harry Styles gets hit with a shoe and diva Mariah Carey gives us an eyeful.
HIT: Jennifer lawrence jokes around with the press.
We were all on the edge of our seats when the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence had a little tumble on her way to accept her Oscar for best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. But instead of breaking down and having a total biotch-fit, the actress commented on her slip. When she was later asked what was going through her head when she tripped, the actress said, “a bad word that I can’t say that starts with ‘F.’” Well Jennifer, you made that fall look so good and who could blame you? That dress you were wearing was pretty redonkulous.
MISS: Harry Styles gets hit with a shoe.
On Tuesday our favourite Brits performed in Glasgow, Scotland when Styles got hit in the crotch with a flying shoe. Ouch! Fans have expressed their condolences in the twitterverse by hashtgging, #Pray4HarryBalls. We’ll be sure to keep them in our prayers. Hmm… Maybe someone should check if T-Swift has any missing shoes in her closest. LOL.
HIT: FLOTUS presents Best Picture
While the Oscars try their very best at keeping us entertained and guessing, nothing was more unexpected and surprising than the First Lady of the United States’ Oscar appearance. Via satellite, The FLOTUS helped present Best Picture to Argo. According to Deadline, Michelle’s involvement was so top secret that she wasn’t even included on the production schedule.

Everyone loves the Oscars red carpet. It’s probably the most highly anticipated red carpet in the world and no other red carpet can compare! But it’s not the only velvet carpet A-list celebrities will be walking down on that night. While most of us viewers head to bed once The Oscars ceremony ends – because let’s face it the ceremony always ends late – celebrities are making hurried wardrobe changes and hitting the after-party scene in new outfits. After-party red carpets are a chance for the winners to show off their new prizes and a chance for the losers to still win best dressed of the night. So let’s see who had the best wardrobe change as these celebs face off against themselves!
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence, the Best Actress winner for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, infamously tripped on her way to accept her award in the pale pink Dior Haute Couture gown but switched it up for a more slinky and silver Calvin Klein dress for the Vanity Fair after-party. This time she got to match her metallic gown with the night’s most coveted accessory, the Oscar statuette.
Anne Hathaway
The Best Supporting Actress winner turned heads on the red carpet in this pale pink Prada gown, but perhaps for the wrong reasons as the darts in the dress emphasized her nipples. Plus, this was a last minute dress choice which resulted in a public apology from the actress to Valentino, who was to be her original choice of designer. She had a chance to redeem herself in a different column dress for the Vanity Fair after-party, this time a blue number from Saint Laurent.

In another of edition of “Jennifer Lawrence, be my best friend!,” the recent best actress winner experienced what every fangirl goes through when they finally meet their idol. But it wasn’t One Direction that did for Lawrence—instead, it was longtime movie star Jack Nicholson that had her freaking out. Adorbz!
BEST: Anne Hathaway’s speech

So touching. People say it was too long, but I thought it was humbling and heartwarming. We all knew she would win, she was so brilliant in Les Mis.
WORST: Twitter handle for Anna Hathaway’s Nipple
People, the seam on the side of the dress created an allusion that Anne was bearing her nipples. Leave her alone okay? Although…she just won an Oscar, I’m not sure she cares all that much about what you have to say about her dress last night.
BEST: Envelopes are hard to open

Sandra Bullock’s facial reactions for best supporting actress please? Kind of looks like someone we know (*cough* Photoshopped Beyonce *cough*)
WORST: Wizards at the Oscars

Y’all need to get a hair cut
BEST: J-Law is really happy we haven’t seen her boobs Read more…
Jennifer Lawrence has been flawless during this hectic award show season. Not only has the face of Miss Dior been killing it on the red carpet, she has quickly become a journalist’s dream as she was probably the most quotable celebrity ever.
Asides from her breathless acceptance speech, she didn’t let her fall up the stairs to claim her awards (looking like a Disney princess no less) faze her. Lawrence’s comedic timing during her post-win press conference was amazing. From sharing what she was thinking when she fell (“It started with F”) and revealing that yes, she did take a shot beforehand, Lawrence was the face of best humble brag (if you could even call it that).
If Tina Fey and Amy Poehler can’t host next year’s Academy Awards, may we suggest Lawrence? Just forget the teleprompter and let her ramble throughout the show.
When Anne Hathaway won her Golden Globe for her role of Fantine in Les Miserables, she said “anyone can bounce back.” She explains how she went from being a Disney princess to where she is now, and reminded us of that time when Sally Field played a flying nun. After we finished bowing down to the royalty that is Anne Hathaway, ANDPOP started to look at some of this years Oscar nominee’s and the embarrassing movies they did way back when. Like Hathaway said, you can bounce back from anything, and in some actors cases we see how true that statement really is.
I just hope Les Miserables just wins all of the awards, because in my opinion, it was the movie of the year. The actors nominated this year are a great bunch. From Anne Hathaway to Sally Field and from Hugh Jackman to Daniel Day Lewis, it is most definitely a talented bunch. Personally, I can’t wait. I can’t even guess who will win because this year was a great year for films and actor performances. However, why wasn’t Leonardo DiCaprio nominated for Django? The man is a genius actor who has done genius films, the Academy clearly has something against the poor guy. Thats okay Leo. You can cry on my shoulder.

ANDPOP Is very excited to watch the Oscars. After all, Barbara Streisand and the cast of Les Miserables are both performing. We have the date saved on our calendar, do you?
See the nominees worthy and non oscar-worthy performances below
1) Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway has been a Disney princess in The Princess Diaries, drug addict in Rachel Getting Married and of course, Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. Most recently, she was Fantine in Les Miserables. With every movie she does, she outdoes her last performance. She already won the Globe, and I have my fingers crossed for her to win the Oscar. If she loses, I can’t be held accountable for my actions. Anna Hathaway has proven you can bounce back from anything. She went from Mia Thermopolis, Princess of Genovia with frizzy and curly hair, to Fantine, a character that she had to cut her hair and diet intensely for. Anne Hathaway is truly royalty.
P.S. Being a disney princess is NOT something to necessarily “bounce back from,” when you’re starring beside Julie Andrews. I would take that gig ANYDAY.

2) Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence got her break in X-Men: First Class and worldwide attention for her role as Katniss. Lawrence has only had great roles, right? Wrong. While Jennifer Lawrence might be nominated for her spectacular performance in Silver Linings Playbook (and she was previously nominated for Winter’s Bone), she hasn’t always been in movies that got such critical acclaim. Lawrence was in a horror film called House At The End Of The Street. We still love her. It’s not like she was in Jennifer’s Body.

When a lot of people see Zach Galifianakis’ show Between Two Ferns for the first time, they’re not sure if he’s legit being rude to the celebs or if the whole thing is a farce. Sadly, it’s a parody but a wicked one at that. The show was on hiatus for a while but it’s finally back with an Oscar edition, loaded with the most well-respected nominees. On the list: Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway and Naomi Watts to name a few. Let the awkwardness begin.
Being single on Valentine’s Day is what you make of it: utterly depressing as you watch romcom after romcom or just another day minus the flowers and chocolate.
Just in case you see the day as the former, take solace in the fact that these good-looking celebrities are also single on Valentine’s Day. I mean, if they can’t get a date, what hope do we really have?
Just don’t use this list as an excuse to stalk them during your desperate attempts to pencil in a last minute date. I don’t want to be the reason why you’re stuck in the local county jail for the night instead of at home, scouring the internet with your cat by your side.

Common tactics for getting celebrities to retweet, respond, or follow you are a) spam by numbering your tweets at them (which I’m sure won’t end well for you), b) Send them harsh tweets or c) tweet them a couple of times and hope for the best. This guy seemed to go for the option B – harassment. Some people just won’t take silence as an answer.
Poor Jennifer Lawrence. Give her a break buddy. This guy is getting heated. Don’t get Katniss mad. The odds will NOT work in your favour. Sorry – did you really expect no Hunger Game references?

My Hollywood crush on Jennifer Lawrence isn’t your average let’s-ride-horses-into-the-sunset crush. She’s just so down to Earth that I’d love to grab pizza with her as we dish on life and quote Mean Girls. As JLaw continues to sweep awards season, let’s find out how The Hunger Games star went from Southern kid to easy-going it girl.
She was a tomboy
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. Don’t let nine-year-old JLaw’s cute fourth grade yearbook shot fool you. She had the nickname “Nitro” for playing so many sports: hockey, softball, horseback riding and even an all-boys basketball team.
She was discovered in NYC
Even as a middle school cheerleader in 2004, 14-year-old Jennifer didn’t think she’d make a living with her talent and good looks until a model scout spotted her on a NYC family vacation. ‘‘He took my mom’s number, and all of a sudden all these agencies are calling,” Jennifer said. “That’s when it all started.”
Her super sweet break on MTV
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night, Jennifer said the best day of her life was when MTV offered her the starring role in this promo for My Super Sweet 16 in 2004, the first step towards her Hollywood career. Sweet Jennifer playing a spoiled debutante? Now that’s good acting.

X-Men fans director Bryan Singer announced via Twitter that Ellen Page and Anna Paquin have both signed on the join the latest installment of the superhero movie franchise, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Page and Paquin are set to reprise their pre-Juno and True Blood roles as wall-defying Kitty Pryde and energy-sucking Rogue respectively. Their mutual love interest, Iceman as played by Shawn Ashmore, is also set to return.
The latest X-Men movie feels already stacked considering Ian McKellan (Magneto) and Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier) will join their younger counterparts, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. In addition, current Oscar nominees Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence will also reprise their superhero roles as the perpetually badass Wolverine and shape shifter, Mystique.
The movie revolves around time travelling so the age jump from X-Men: The Last Stand to now shouldn’t be out of place.
