I’m pretty sure this was my exact reaction to the following movies: Bambi, Dumbo, My Dog Skip, Marley and Me, War Horse (the latter was just last year and I soaked through 17 tissues — I counted). Usually my kryptonite is ANY MOVIE with animals but these kids are a little more sensitive to their own mortality, as expressed through “feel good movie” The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
I feel slightly sadistic laughing at the two brothers, whose parents recorded them on the ride home from the theatre. It’s probably so funny because we’ve all been there.
What movie always gets you?
With sources confirming that Jennifer Garner is expecting baby No. 2, the actress and husband Ben Affleck are looking for a bigger home, reports People magazine.
“I guess they are looking for a bigger place now,” the couple’s pal Kevin Smith told People at a Maxim party on Saturday.
The director-actor is a long-time friend of Affleck’s and starred with Garner in 2006’s “Catch and Release.” Smith revealed to the entertainment magazine how he learned the couple were expecting.
“I saw him last week. Ben came over to watch my movie (“Zack and Miri Make a Porno”) at the house, and he told me, ‘We’re having another baby,’” recalls Smith.
The actor continued to add that Garner and Affleck were both great parents. The couple already have a 2-year-old daughter named Violet.
Tabloids went on a frenzy when Jennifer Garner’s ‘Alias’ co-star Victor Garber responded “Yes, she is,” to the question of whether Garner was pregnant.
However, according to E! News, Garber’s words were taken out of context.
“I haven’t confirmed that at all, no,” Garber said at an ABC event. “I know they want to have another child and hopefully that’s true, but I don’t know that.”
Back in May, Garner’s husband Ben Affleck reportedly told the UK’s ‘Times’ newspaper that he and his wife were expecting baby No. 2.
“We’re going to have another baby soon,” he added, “now that we’ve figured out how to do it. We want lots of kids.”
Affleck and Garner tied the knot on June 29, 2005 and had daughter Violet later that year in December.
It’s almost award season and while Jennifer Garner may have been left off the Golden Globe and SAG lists, she’s getting some high praise from her hometown.
Yesterday, West Virginia’s newspaper The Charleston Gazette-Mail awarded the movie star turned Broadway big shot the title of “West Virginian of the Year.”
The Charleston announced that they named Garner as their top pick for the honor because of, “her dedication, work ethic and unique role as role model and ambassador for West Virginia.”
The “Alias” actress was actually born in Texas but confessed her love for her the state she calls home saying, “I like to do the things that are familiar. I like to see people I grew up with. I always go to Taylor Books. I love going home to my church – Christ Church United Methodist. I probably visit a Dairy Queen, and I love the farmer’s market,” reports Gossipgirl.com.
Garner’s mother Pat added, “She’s pretty passionate about her love of West Virginia. She just considers it home.”
Nick Papac, a 25-year-old assistant propmaster, was critically injured on the set of a new film starring Jennifer Garner and Jamie Foxx. He died a few hours later at a local hospital.
CBS reports that, on Saturday, Papac was driving an all-terrain vehicle on a closed portion of the freeway just outside of Pheonix, Arizona. He crashed the vehicle into an SUV, carrying the film’s director, Peter Berg.
After being airlifted to an area hospital, Papac died of severe head injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.
The incident took place after shooting had wrapped for the day, and none of the film’s stars were present during the crash.
The film, titled “The Kingdom,” is set in the Middle East. Shooting was cancelled on Sunday, but is expected to resume on Wednesday.

It is still unknown if the baby was born on Wednesday or Thursday.
“Ben was with her the entire time,” a source told Us.
Garner and Affleck, 33, wed in June.
Jennifer Garner will produce and star in Sabbatical, an upcoming erotic thriller being released by Disney.
The film is a tale about a husband and wife who take a break from each other for two weeks to rejuvenate their withering seven-year marriage. When the wife returns to meet her husband, however, she finds that he has disappeared.
Garner, who has won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her performance on the spy drama Alias, will be seen next on the big screen in Catch and Release.
She is currently awaiting the birth of her first child with husband Ben Affleck.
Is Bennifer #2 seeing pink?
Jennifer Garner appeared on NBC’s “Tonight Show” on Tuesday night. Host Jay Leno asked, “So what do we have here? A boy or a girl? Do you know yet?”
With her response leaning to neither at first, Garner accidentally referred to her baby bump later as a ?she.?
“You can just start to feel really pregnant. Like you are the hugest person on the face of the planet. … And then I felt just bigger and bigger like she …”
Oops. Garner put both hands over her mouth as if she had ruined a surprise.
Garner and Ben Affleck were wed in June. Although their baby is due around Christmas, it looks like the secret may have come out a little early this year.
To accommodate Jennifer Garner’s real-life pregnancy, her character on the ABC spy drama Alias, Sydney Bristow, will become pregnant as well.
“We are going to embrace the fact that she’s pregnant,” said Stephen McPherson, ABC’s programming chief, who also added that Garner wouldn’t be placed in dangerous situations that could harm her or her baby.
Garner announced her pregnancy earlier this month with new hubby Ben Affleck after months of rumours and speculation. The child is due at the end of December.
A new female character, who has not yet been cast, will join the series in its upcoming fifth season to serve as Bristow?s prot?g? and retain the show?s sex appeal as Garner?s pregnancy becomes more prominent.
But McPherson was quick to add that Garner, who performs many of her own stunts, will ?be able to run a fair amount? for the time being.
Alias will return to TV screens this September in its new Thursday time slot.
Bennifer: Version 2.0 didn’t get hitched in a hush-hush ceremony in West Virginia on the weekend, as was reported by The New York Daily News.
Ben Affleck’s publicist, Ken Sunshine, has told reporters that Affleck, 32, did not marry his 33-year-old girlfriend, “Alias” star Jennifer Garner.
“Ben and Jen are not in West Virginia. They did not get married yesterday. They did not get married today,” says Sunshine.
Rumours broke when Brandon Tucker, a florist and wedding planner, told the Daily News that Garner had ordered a bridal bouquet of ivory Virginia roses, Casablanca lilies and gardenia, and six bridesmaids’ bouquets for a late-night ceremony at the posh Greenbrier Resort.
Affleck proposed to Garner at her 33rd birthday party in April. It would be the second marriage for Garner, who is reportedly pregnant, and the first for Affleck, who broke off his engagement to Jennifer Lopez last year.
