Our friends over at CHARTattack posted the new video this morning saying:

How does that saying go again? If you like it when you should have put a trademark on it?

It appears new parents Jay-Z and Beyonce are going to brand their new daughter’s name. Not for prosperity but for products.

E! Online reports the two were spotted filing paperwork with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office on Janaury 26. They want to take ownership of their daughter’s name if any opportunist wants to make money off of it. For instance, I can’t come out with a line of baby formula called “Blue Ivy” anymore, unless I want to get sued for millions.

Apparently any parent, whether they’re famous or not, can trademark their child’s name while they’re still a minor. It just takes a lot of paperwork.

Many were in the race to become America’s Next Top Godmother. Beyonce and Jay-Z had a hefty list to choose from.

Gwyneth Paltrow could have been that intellectually stimulating godmother that teaches the kid about veganism and yoga. Kelly Rowland (remember her from Destiny’s Child?) could have been the stylish godmother, taking the kid shopping on Rodeo Drive.

According to Media Takeout, the new parents have picked Oprah as Blue Ivy’s godmother. This is a reasonable selection because doesn’t Oprah feel like she’s everybody’s godmother? Jay-Z’s close friend Tyran Smith is the godfather but he’s obviously eclipsed by the Lord and saviour that is Oprah.

This further proves that Blue Ivy Carter will rule the world when she turns 18.

We happily reported yesterday that in honour of his new baby girl, Jay-Z owed to never drop “bitch” in any of his lyrics again.

We discovered today that such allegation is not true. The Guardian spoke to Jay-Z’s representatives and they say he never said such a thing in any statement or poem. It was all fabricated by a blogger named Renee Gardner.

“No word how the lyrics made it online, but it wasn’t from the rap mogul,” his reps said.

It’s a real shame because Jay-Z could have gained a lot more respect from women for dropping such an emotionally heavy word. However, the important thing is that he loves his daughter and we all know he’ll be the best father he can be. That’s something we can rest assured on.

It appears Jay-Z is so proud of his new paternal role, he may have promised to drop the word “bitch” from his lyrics.

In a poem NME dug up, the rapper writes: “Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich / I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch / I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it / Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it.”

It’s not proven whether or not this poem is authentic and whether or not it even comes from Jay-Z himself. The rapper has notoriously used degrading words like “bitch” in his rhymes ever since he could talk.

It didn’t take his mother, his grandmother, his wife or his sister to convince him to stop using such a negative word. All it took was a baby named after a colour and a plant.

Ever since King Jay and Queen B gave birth to their first child this past weekend, everyone’s curious to see what their baby girl looks like and more importantly, how hot she’ll grow to be at the age of 18.

Normally, when celebrities have babies, they go into hiding for a few weeks until we spot their photo on the cover of People Magazine as we’re paying for our groceries. Those kind of magazine covers always gets the new parents millions of dollars.

While we wait for the day Blue Ivy Carter graces the cover of tabloid magazines, we can only imagine what she’d look like with the latest meme in cyberspace: photoshopping Jay-Z’s head on a baby’s body. 20 years from now Blue Ivy will look at this and laugh. Either that or run away in embarrassment.

Buzzfeed has compiled a list of 25 people who have taken to various social media sites to propagate the theory that Jay-Z and Beyonce’s new baby girl is the antichrist.

Most people on this hysterical list of idiots believe that the name Blue is an acronym for “Born Living Under Evil.” Many are calling her a “demon baby”, convinced that the child (actually named after Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint” album and the roman numeral IV) is bad news.

Some have even gone further with their hypothesis claiming the name backwards (Eulb Yvi) is the latin name for Satan’s female daughter. Fortunately for the Carter family, there’s no mention of Eulb Yvi in the bible at all and most reports are denying any such character exists.

This is by far the most irrational theory of 2012 so far but it’s still so early in the year. If you consume enough narcotics, however, anything is possible. It reminds me of the conspiracy theories surrounding Paul McCartney’s supposed death based on the Abby Road album cover. Or another crackpot belief that if you play “Stairway To Heaven” backwards it reveals satanic messages.

We’ll soon discover whether or not Blue Ivy is the devil once the couple leak expensive photos to a tabloid magazine. If Blue’s rocking red eyes and breathing out fire, then yes, maybe those 25 people were right. As you might have overheard – Hova is officially a big poppa. Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter this past Saturday.

Being the only family member with a last name, the proud father celebrated by penning a new song on his lifestyle website Life + Times. The track is called “Glory” (Ft. B.I.C.), which likely stands for her given name and her subtle participation is featured at the end of the song.

Produced by Pharell, the song is bare-boned and direct as he reveals that he and Beyonce have tried making a baby before: ”Last time the miscarriage was tragic / We was afraid you’d disappear but nah baby you’re magic.”

He goes on to express joy over his “greatest creation” that he rhapsodizes to be “the child of destiny / you’re my child with the child from Destiny’s child”

It has finally happened – Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday in New York City. The baby is named Ivy Blue Carter, reports TMZ. The baby reportedly was delivered by a c-section.

Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih”

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons also took to Twitter, saying … “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”

Some people take their music very serious – sometimes too serious. An Ohio man has been stabbed for not knowing that Jay-Z and Beyonce were married.

Donald Deaver was arrested and charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing a 48-year-old Garfield Heights, Ohip man following an argument.

Fox 8 reports the fight began because the victim did not know that singer Beyonce’s husband is rapper Jay-Z. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on December 31, 2011, outside Deaver’s apartment.

Even since repeatedly pestering that poor DJ to  turn the record up in 2005, Robyn Rihanna Fenty has been a chart-topping powerhouse representative of Def Jam Records. With her collaborations dominating the charts as of late, it seems that the recipe to Billboard success is a Rihanna hook. After all, she has the most digital number-one hits with eleven and counting.

That’s more number-one’s than Stevie Wonder or Janet Jackson. That’s two away from Michael Jackson and nine away from the untouchable Beatles. Are we talking quantity, not quality? It’s up for debate. How does she compare to the Gaga’s, Perry’s and Beyonce’s?

Turn on the radio. Open a music magazine. And if they’re on a break from their teen-preganancy programming, watch MTV. From Maroon 5 to Eminem to Coldplay to Lonely Island, there is that familiar sultry croon of the official ambassador of youth and culture for Barbados. She is considerably the most-featured female singer of this millennium. She’s no Fitzgerald, or Goulding for that matter, but it’s either she has a remarkable talent or impeccable timing. OK, maybe Jay-Z has a little something to do with it.

Her solo success should not be ignored. In Billboard’s 53-year-history, Rihanna is in a third-place tie with the legendary Whitney Houston for most chart-toppers, behind Mariah Carey and Madonna. That’s a fine line between jaw-dropping and head-scratching. She was also named Digital Song Artist of the Decade in 2009, passing Mr. West, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

In a recent study, the most popular videos on YouTube are unsurprisingly, music videos that occupy an incredible 86% of the top 60 most-viewed. What’s even more mind-boggling is that a trifecta of pop-artists total a 25% of those 60 videos: Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Bieber impregnates the rest of the pack with 1.664 billion views. Mother Monster rolls in with 842 million views and Rihanna clocks in with 715 million views.

With her new album Talk That Talk on the horizon (due out November 21), critical pop-singles are expected to stampede the airwaves. She took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm that her mentor would appear on the title track: “Yes sir! Jigga man is on the title track #TTT.” What a clubhouse that must be, with Kanye and Jay meeting their female counterparts of Beyonce and Rihanna for an afternoon picnic.

Hova and Ri-Ri previously collaborated on her mega-hit “Umbrella” and he featured her on that Blueprint 3 power-house single, “Run This Town.”

MediaTakeOut is reporting that Beyonce is due to give birth on Wednesday. An insider claims that the family has been told on Wednesday morning they will be taken a hospital to “be a part” of the child birth.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are so concerned about security, all the details are being kept under wraps. Apparently, Beyonce’s mom doesn’t even know anything more than she will be going somewhere on Wednesday.

We will have to wait and see what happens on Wednesday.

Jay-Z and Kanye have been playing this song up to 11 times per concert on the ‘Watch The Throne” tour and this enthusiastic fan proves it might be the best song ever.

What’s most shocking about this video is just how loud the man is actually rapping. He’s rapping at a volume that suggests he legitimately thinks that he is performing for 20,000 people at The Staples Centre.

There’s no news of what he ordered for dinner that night, however, I’m willing to speculate it was the ‘fish fillet.’

You know him as the swagger parks department admin. Tom Haverford on the hit NBC show “Parks and Recreation”. Aziz Ansari has slowly become one of our most beloved funny men.

Aziz, who makes a cameo on Jay-Z and Kanye’s video for “Otis”, hooked up with his buddy Matthew Shawver to retell the rap duo’s song “N****s in Paris* using their iPhone emoticons. It’s incredibly clever and creative as it feeds more into the hysteria that is surrounding Jay and Kanye’s “Watch the Throne” album.

Over 100 million people watch the Superbowl every year and when it comes to the lingerie of superbowls, over ten million people tune in to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Last night’s show raked in the highest ratings since 2002, the Hollywood Reporter says. The show certainly got some help from the hottest rappers around the most expensive bra ever (Miranda Kerr rocked a $2.5 million dollar bra).

Jay-Z and Kanye performed “N*ggas in Paris” while a a pregnant Beyonce got to throw her diamond-filled hands in the air, waving them around like she just didn’t care. Check out the video below.

Nicki Minaj brightened up the stage by popping by to sing “Super Bass”.

Last but not least, Maroon 5 performed “Moves Like Jagger” without Christina Aguilera. Lead singer Adam Levine certainly didn’t miss her since he seemed incredibly distracted by his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna. He even escorted her down the runway and planted a big kiss on her. It’s so cute, I want to throw up.

Beyonce’s “Dance For You” video goes to show what a powerhouse she is – entirely makes us forget that she’s pregnant.

The latest cut from her album 4 will be featured in the deluxe edition of B’s “Live at Roseland” DVD, which drops on Tuesday, November 29th.

“The whole time I definitely was thinking, ‘Everyone knows, everyone can see,’” said the Grammy-winner before the screening of her new concert this past Sunday in New York.

“When you’re pregnant, it’s a little bit harder to breathe, so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time,” said the 30-year-old singer in an onstage interview, who admitted it became very difficult to hide while recording the four sold-out nights in at Roseland Theatre in August.

From Destiny’s Child classics to major hits from her solo career before launching into 4 in it’s entirety. It will also include intimate interviews, home videos of rehearsals and clips of Beyonce in a wedding dress.

In this the-Dream produced cut, the sultry R&B jam has her showing her gratitude in the form of a seductive dance sequence. The black-and-white clip is reminiscent of a private-eye/detective classic that could easily be a Victoria Secret product placement.

Do you really think that Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby would have standard Huggies diapers? No way! In an interview with People, Jay-Z shrugged off the notion of solid-gold diapers. “No, leather!” he joked.

During the interview, Jay-Z also opened up about his relationship with his father who abandoned him and his family when he was 11 years old.

“It makes me a little paranoid because no matter what, I don’t think any person, or any male, goes into a relationship thinking that they’re going to leave or wouldn’t be there,” he says. But, “I’m just a different kind of guy. I’m a highly principled person. I come from a real place where you had to be a highly principled person, so, I’m pretty confident that I’ll figure it out.”
