We haven’t seen much of the second Spears lately (I didn’t even know she was dating anyone), but I am happy to report that she is back and bearing good news!
Britney’s 22-year-old sister Jamie Lynn announced via Instagram last night that she and Jamie Watson, her boyfriend of three years, are engaged. The two posed for an adorable picture and Spears also posted a close-up of her new bling along with the caption “Guesssss what??????”
Congratulations you two! Here’s hoping the marriage works out better than those of her big sis.

Jamie is best known as her lead role in Zoey 101 and younger sister of the legendary Miss Britney Spears. In 2007, she announced that she was pregnant with her daughter Maddie. That was probably the last time you heard from her. Spears left the limelight for a few years and moved to a quiet town in Mississippi, with her then boyfriend and first love, Casey Aldridge. You can’t forget these adorable twins from Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. They actually turn 20-years-old tomorrow (almost fully legal) and are both currently attending NYU. Seems like this group of guys (below) fan-boy hardcore while waiting for Dylan Sprouse to leave class. Not only was Dylan nice enough to chat and take a group photo with the fellas, he’s totally laid back and not so “Disney” anymore. I love how the guys break out into theme song as he continues to walk away.

Jamie Lynn doesn’t have to look far for inspiration.
Performing a little showcase in Nashville on Thursday, the former Zoey 101 star sang a song she wrote to someone close to her heart: her big sis Britney.
“I’m so happy to have all of y’all here, thank y’all for coming out tonight,” said the 21-year-old mom to her audience. “This next song is called ‘I Look Up to You,’ and you can imagine who I wrote it about, so I hope y’all like it a lot.”
With lyrics like: “Scared little girl living on a big old world / You’ve outgrown your room / It all happened way too soon,” the song has nice country vibe to it.
Personally, I love this side of Jamie. Her and Britney have always been close to one another, despite sharing a lot of ups and downs over the past few years.
But while Jamie’s life hasn’t always been perfect, she definitely shows promise as a country star. Showing that she’s all grown up, I love the fact that Jamie is taking on a different genre in the music industry. It really suits her!
Multiple reports state that Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ 10-month-old daughter, Maddie, was rushed to the emergency room this weekend after being involved in a bad car accident.
Spears, 18, and Aldridge’s sister are at Casey’s side where he is hospitalized at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, according to sources. Staff at the hospital would not confirm that Aldridge is undergoing treatment there.
In a revealing interview with OK! magazine, Britney Spears talks about her new album, her sister’s shocking pregnancy and her children.
Spears told OK! magazine that her new album will come out in the next six to nine months and will include songs produced by the Underdogs, who have worked with Chris Brown and former beau, Justin Timberlake, in the past. “I think it is more urban. I’m working with producers who are just amazing,” Spears told OK!
Spears wrote more for this album than any other and says she spend time at the piano every day working on new songs. “This is my best work ever,” she said.
Spears has had a rough year, being hospitalized twice, having a custody disupte with ex-husband Kevin Federline and being the main fodder for the paparazzi’s flashing lights.
Her sister, Jamie-Lynn, also shocked everyone, including Britney, by becoming pregnant. “It was mind-boggling. I was shocked a little bit. But it was really cool, and she was happy,” said Spears.
OK! also talks with Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who provides more understanding of why full custody of Britney’s two sons was given to Federline, stating that they wanted to avoid a full trial.
Most recently, Britney Spears appears in the promotional video for the MTV Video Music Awards, alongside host Russell Brand.
According to EOnline.com, Jamie-Lynn Spears gave birth to a baby girl Thursday morning.
Spears checked into the hospital early Thursday morning at around 5AM and gave birth at around 9:30AM.
The entire Spears clan, including big sister Britney, were present for the birth.
Sixteen-year-old Spears’ shocked the world when she announced earlier this year that she was expecting her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge.
The child is rumoured to have been named Maddie Brian.

According to eonline.com, readers will be able to pick up a copy of mama Spears’ memoirs, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World”.
Originally the book was supposed to be released on Mother’s Day but when Spears’ sixteen-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, announced she was pregnant in 2007, publishers at Thomas Nelson delayed the release.
The book is set to be released in September.

Jamie Lynn was spotted watching “Juno” at a movie theatre the day before she made her pregnancy announcement. Additionally, she is said to be obsessed with the film’s soundtrack and using it to help her get through this difficult time.

The New York Post reports that Spears is obsessed with the soundtrack to “Juno” – Page’s current film in which she stars as a 16-year-old who accidentally gets pregnant. Spears saw the film the day before her exclusive pregnancy announcement with OK! Magazine was released, and sources tell the newspaper that the film and music have inspired Spears. “She loves it and it’s helping her through her difficult time,” a source commented.
Page contributed to the “Juno” soundtrack when director Jason Reitman asked her what music she thought Juno would listen to. Page suggested the Moldy Peaches. Six songs by Kimya Dawson, a member of the Peaches, are included on the “Juno” soundtrack.
It wouldn’t be a day that ends in “y” without more Spears family drama.
According to Star magazine, Casey Aldridge is not the father of 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby. “Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified,” the mag reports. While Aldridge is 18, just days less than two years older than Spears, it is rumoured that the father is older and would be charged with statutory rape if he was revealed. Two sources told Star that the man they believe to be the real father is someone who works on Spears’ Nickelodeon kid’s show, “Zoey 101.”
Spears and Aldridge are currently not together, as Aldridge said in a post on his MySpace profile.
