It looks like we won’t be seeing Shailene Woodley’s version of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 after all. Director Mark Webb decided to cut the character from the movie and instead hopes to focus on a different plotline that is supposedly quite shocking.
“I am a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason,”Shailene told Entertainment Weekly. ”MJ only appeared in a few scenes and I wouldn’t trade the experience of working with Andrew and Emma for three days on set for the world. Based on the proposed plot, I completely understand the need for holding off on introducing MJ until the next film.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to premiere on May 2, 2014 with “Adorable Couple Of The Year” Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprising their roles. They will be joined on-screen by Jamie Foxx, Sally Field and Paul Giamatti.
Fear not, Shailene Woodley fans! The one of the many YA novel adaptations she’s been working on, The Spectacular Now, will arrive in theatres August 2nd.

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel saves Miley Cyrus from a vending machine as Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum tries to teach him what “Channing All Over Your Tatum” means. The Lonely Island-esque parody song also features Gabourey Sidibe, Olivia Munn and a life-sized cardboard cut out of Channing Tatum.
The song itself is pretty hilarious because it makes no sense whatsoever. It does give us the opportunity to see the amazing chemistry between White House Down co-stars Foxx and Tatum.
Also, make sure to watch carefully to see a quick cameo from a Jimmy Kimmel favourite.
Jamie Foxx was spotted covered in blue make up and decked out in a black hoodie and jeans as he arrived on the New York City set of The Amazing Spiderman 2 on Monday. Foxx is slated to play the film’s villain, Electro.
The 45-year-old actor has recently said that his costume won’t be green and yellow like in the comics. He told Blackfilm.com in December that the producers “want something for the future… They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms where they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what [happens].”
Foxx looks ridiculously amazing in his Electro get-up. He is definitely well suited to play a villain. He has the maniacal and evil look down, and has proven in his past film projects (like Django Unchained) he has the potential to be a total badass. It’ll also be nice to see him on screen with Andrew Garfield, and see how they play off of one another.
It’s time to start getting excited about this movies release—even if it’s just in the shooting stages.
The film also stars Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field. It is set to open in 3D on May 2, 2014.
Are you excited for the next Amazing Spiderman?

Figuring out the top 10 hottest guys of the 90s was a lot harder than I thought. I mean, I remember all the posters I had in my room and who was on them, but I needed some help from my friends to rank them. So here it is, the product of my hard research: the top 10 heartthrobs from the 1990s.
10. Chris Klein
I’m pretty sure this was one of the only reasons girls wanted to watch American Pie movies, after all, those movies were made for guys. Every girl I knew watched them, and we all had a poster of Chris in our rooms (Thank you J14 magazine). If you saw the latest installment, American Pie:Reunion, he might have a slightly different hairline, but the 34-year-old seems to have aged well. I mean, how could that jaw-line not age well?
9. Nick Carter
Being one of the biggest boy bands in the 90s, it’s only natural the Backstreet Boys’ resident heartthrob made this list. Nick Carter was the blonde babe that all the girls liked. Much like the Bieber’s haircut, Carter’s trademark ‘do was donned by every guy. Still not sure why we loved his style, but that’s the 90s for you. He is now 33.
8. Freddie Prinze Jr.
This hunk got his start in I Knew What You Did Last Summer but we all took notice when he starred in She’s All That and Summer Catch. It’s only fitting he marry an equally gorgeous 90s bombshell Sarah Michelle Gellar, making them the best 90s couple around. He’s still hot at 37.
7. Usher
Okay, I personally would have him as my number 1, but according to my highly “scientific” survey, he belongs in the number seven spot. Does anyone remember the song, “Nice and Slow”? I basically fell in love with him watching that video. Usher is pure sex, ladies.
6. JTT aka Jonathan Taylor Thomas

If you were looking for some major Golden Globe FASHAWN then my girl @Britt_Mahaney has got you covered here! Awards season has officially begun and, just like Fashion Week, I’m already suffering from major fashion overload. But that’s a good thing! It just makes my job harder to narrow down the best celeb fashions to a top 5 list, but I enjoy the challenge. So bring it!
Bring It On! Not only a great movie but a great line for a pep talk!
And if you were wondering who my fav Golden Globe look was from then I got to say Jennifer Lawrence was a stunner in that red Christian Dior Couture gown. She had the flu, have you ever looked that good whenever you had the flu? I didn’t think so.
Selena Gomez
What she’s wearing: Gomez was a golden glam goddess in a Versace Atelier dress at the InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party.
Why we love it: Ladies and gentlemen behold the transformative power of the breakup, add a sexy Versace dress and you’ve got magic! Gomez is no doubt a beautiful young lady but this dress shows how grown up the Disney starlet has come along. The structured bustier dress has a lot of nice intricate design details and golden embellishments which is a perfect fit for such a ‘golden’ event.

— I Love Pac ? (@kisssMeKidrauhl) January 15, 2013
Takeaway: Gomez is working the monochromatic look even with such a standout metallic dress. She’s keeping all her accessories in the same colour range which helps focus the attention on the intricate dress.
Taylor Swift
What she’s wearing: Swift walked the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards in this white slinky Ralph Lauren gown.
Why we love it: What a show-stopper! Here’s proof #2 that a breakup can do a person good. While Swift may love to be in relationships, as fans we all know breakups do Swift well in the music and fashion departments. Can we talk about that sexy plunging neckline?! Not only does it show another side to Swift, but I have a feeling a certain British boybander might be kicking himself in the butt right about now. This look is the perfect mix of sex appeal and refined class. Swift pops with her chunky turquoise drop earring.
Don’t worry Taylor, I’d still give you a hug.
Takeaway: Showing cleavage is obviously an easy way to add some sex appeal to your look, but you need to make sure it’s not the only reason why people are talking about your dress. You wanna be remembered for a bit more than just your chest. So while a plunging neckline does give that wow factor, make sure the rest of your dress has enough class to balance out any potential sleaziness.

I guess it’s “Foxx/Fox” power in today’s viral videos. First we see Jamie put on a show for his friends, then a banana scares Megan.
Jamie Foxx does his sexy dance
Another reason to love Jamie Foxx:
watch him dance like Michael Jackson in nothing but red briefs and a baseball hat. Although the footage was taken ten years ago at an after-party at Jamie’s L.A. mansion, TMZ just unearthed the footage.
Foxx had swagger while dancing in front of a group of friends to Prince’s “I Wanna Be Your Lover.”
Megan Fox
Megan Fox stopped by the Ellen Degeneres show and talked about everything from tattoo removal to working at a Florida smoothie shop. Once a week someone had to dress up as a piece of fruit at the shop and badger customers. Naturally, she took on the important role of the giant banana. But before she has time to finish her story, a giant banana creeps up behind Fox and scares her. Ellen scares her guests so much, when are they going to catch on?
Jamie Foxx showed off his muscle Thursday night while attending a show in Hollywood where his buddy Usher was performing.
Rumor has it Foxx got into an altercation with his former manager, reports RadarOnline. A witness says “The fight spilled to the outside area and I don’t think Usher even noticed because the place was so packed with people. When they got outside security intervened and after some cops approached both men seemed to make-up with one another before they left.”
Hollywood Police say no charges have been filed. We wonder what the dispute was over. Perhaps the Manager made some comment to Foxx like, “You would still be on ‘In Living Color’ without me.” And that comment would be completely unfair. Even if the show wasn’t cancelled, Foxx would have been canned anyways because he really wasn’t that funny.
Jay Leno has been missing from TV screens across the world for just over three weeks now. And Monday, he will reappeared, reports the CBC.
Nine-teen days ago, NBC cancelled Leno’s own prime-time show. It has also been nine months since Leno has given up his position at the “Tonight Show,” to Conan O’Brien. But now, Leno is back to reclaim his old position on the “Tonight Show.”
Since Leno is back, the late-night war once again begins with CBS opponent David Letterman. Letterman dominated the ratings during O’Brien’s brief appearance as the “Tonight Show” host.
But, Leno ruled the late night for much of the 17 years he was with the “Tonight Show,” and NBC is hoping that he will be comfortable in his desk chair, once again.
The World Entertainment News Network reports that Mike Tyson is planning to produce a biopic about his life, and has already hand-picked Jamie Foxx for the part.
The two-time boxing heavyweight champion has certainly experienced enough drama in the last two decades to make the film interesting. He was convicted of raping a beauty pageant contestant in 1992, bit off part of Evander Holyfield’s ear in 1997, declared bankruptcy in 2003, and was jailed last year for a DUI and possession of cocaine.
Of his struggles with substance abuse, Tyson said that he is now clean. “Even when I was training for a fight, there were no drugs, but I would drink. I had never been clean and sober my whole life. This is the first time. I’m tired of losing. I lost the trust of my family, my five kids. I didn’t like that way of life and decided to change. I saw the devil and didn’t want that.”
JAMIE FOXX stunned journalists and members of the public last week
(ends31Aug07) when he banned them from sharing his elevator, according to reports.
The Ray star was appearing at Los Angeles’ Four Season’s Hotel to promote his new movie The Kingdom, and insisted he travelled in the building’s lifts without being hassled by fellow guests.
A source tells the New York Daily News’ Page Six, “He told guests of the
hotel and journalists to leave the elevator. Then, at every floor where the
elevator stopped, the bodyguard would stand with his arm stretched out and say,
‘You can’t enter’ to anyone who tried to get in. A lot of us were like, ‘Who
does Jamie think he is?’”
However a spokesperson for the star has denied the incident, insisting,
“There were four to five people in the elevator with Foxx at the time and
rushing to get to interviews to promote his film.” (JC/WNWCPS/ES)

Singer/actor JAMIE FOXX has defended disgraced American football star MICHAEL VICK, who is expected to serve jail time for his involvement in illegal dog fighting matches.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Vick was indicted by a federal grand jury for “conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and to sponsor a dog in animal fighting venture” last month (Jul07) and has said he will plead guilty in court next week (27Aug07).
While Foxx condemns cruelty to animals, he believes Vick did not realise the implications of his sponsorship of the dog fighting ring.
He says, “It’s a cultural thing, I think. Most brothers didn’t know that, you know. I used to see dogs fighting in the neighbourhood all the time. I didn’t know that was Fed time. So, Mike probably just didn’t read his handbook on what not to do as a black star.
“I know that cruelty to animals is bad, but sometimes people shoot people and kill people and don’t get time.
“I think in this situation, he really didn’t know the extent of it, so I always give him the benefit of the doubt.”
Vick faces a potential of 12 to 18 months in prison when he is sentenced. (ES/WNWCAXH/SH)

Nick Papac, a 25-year-old assistant propmaster, was critically injured on the set of a new film starring Jennifer Garner and Jamie Foxx. He died a few hours later at a local hospital.
CBS reports that, on Saturday, Papac was driving an all-terrain vehicle on a closed portion of the freeway just outside of Pheonix, Arizona. He crashed the vehicle into an SUV, carrying the film’s director, Peter Berg.
After being airlifted to an area hospital, Papac died of severe head injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.
The incident took place after shooting had wrapped for the day, and none of the film’s stars were present during the crash.
The film, titled “The Kingdom,” is set in the Middle East. Shooting was cancelled on Sunday, but is expected to resume on Wednesday.
After debuting a week ago at No. 2, Jamie Foxx has overtaken Mary Blige to claim top spot on the Billboard album chart.
Despite a 67 per cent slip to sales of 200,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan, Foxx?s ?Unpredictable? is the first album to reach No. 1 without having debuted at the top since Ray Charles’ ?Genius Loves Company? in February 2005.
Foxx also becomes the fourth artist to have won an Academy Award for acting (coincidentally for his portrayal of Charles in Ray) and achieved a No. 1 album, reports Billboard.
He was followed in the top 10 by Mary J. Blige, Eminem, the Notorious B.I.G., Carrie Underwood, Now 20, Nickelback, Mariah Carey, Black Eyed Peas and Chris Brown.
Sales were up 5 per cent over the same period last year, but didn’t make up for a year-long slump
Downloads also made big news, with digital track downloads numbering a record-setting 19.9 million last week, reports USA Today.
That number eclipsed the previous record of 9.0 million set last week.
The top download, DFL’s ?Laffy Taffy,? sold a record 175,000 copies, more than three times what it sold the previous week and nearly topping Foxx’s album sales.
Academy award winner Jamie Foxx will star in Universal Pictures’ “The Kingdom,” a political thriller being directed by Peter Berg, reports Billboard.
The movie is based on an original idea by Berg and producer Michael Mann, and will revolve around an elite team of counter-terrorism investigators trying find those responsible for a deadly bombing attack on American workers in the Middle East.
Led by Foxx?s character, the team enters the previously off-limits desert kingdom and engage a local police officer to help in their investigation. Along the way, they clash with bureaucracy and tradition, and find their lives threatened.
The film is tentatively slated for a May production start.
Earlier this year, Foxx won the best actor Oscar for his role in Universal Pictures’ “Ray.”
The actor, who can currently be seen in “Jarhead,” has several other acting projects in the works. He plays Tubbs in the big-screen adaptation of “Miami Vice,” which Mann is directing, and will shoot DreamWorks Pictures’ “Dreamgirls” alongside Beyonc? Knowles and Eddie Murphy this month.
Foxx is also busy with his music career, with a Dec. 20 release date for ?Unpredictable,? his new studio album from J Records.
