Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge are ready for parenthood.
The couple recently purchased their first home together in Liberty, Miss., and the duo are preparing for the arrival of their child, who is set to be born by the end of June or early July.
“They’re very happy,” a source tells People Magazine. “They’re a fun little couple.”
The parents-to-be recently bought furniture, including an elaborately carved four-poster king-size canopy bed, a leather recliner, and a leather sofa.
Spears’s mom, Lynne, is planning on helping her 17-year-old daughter decorate the nursery, with the color scheme of pink, brown, and silver-green.
Spears and Aldridge, got engaged in March and plan to wed soon after the baby is born.
Edwin Merrino stands accused of stalking pregnant Jaime Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge. Spears’ family filed a complaint against the paparazzo, stating the shutterbug would not leave the couple alone.
Merrino denies harassing the couple, telling the press that he was at least 200 feet away from Spears and Aldridge when he was caught while trying to take a picture of them using a telephoto lens.
“I just think since I was the only one there, it was just easier for them to single me out,” says Merrino. “The one picture I got was kind of by luck. I got lucky when I saw them at Wal-Mart when I was buying deodorant.”
Merrino is scheduled to appear in court June 8th. Jaime Lynn Spears is expected to give birth to her first child toward the end of June or in early July.
Mom-to-be Jaime Lynn Spears celebrated her baby shower with pink and blue balloons in Kentwood, La, on Saturday with big sister Britney. Surrounded by family and friends, the gathering took place at mom Lynne’s home known as “Serenity.” Jaime Lynn’s parents did all the cooking for the alcohol-free bash, which included fried chicken and chilli.
Although an outdoor patio was set up for the event, a group of paparazzi helicopters kept most partygoers indoors and away from the spotlight. Father-to-be and Jaime Lynn’s fiancé was not seen at the festivity.
The 17-year-old television star is expected to give birth to a girl this summer.
