Soulja Boy Runs From The Law

Soulja Boy Tell’em is out of jail after spending the night behind bars on Wednesday, following his arrest on a charge of obstruction. According to mtvnews.com, the rapper (born DeAndre Way), was detained when Georgia police responded to a report of juveniles hanging out in an abandoned home on Wednesday night in the McDonough area of Atlanta.

According to Captain Jason Bolton of the Henry County Police, someone called in a report of individuals hanging out at an abandoned home. When officers arrived on the scene, they found around 40 people standing in a dark backyard behind the house.

“You couldn’t really tell what was going on,” Bolton said. “But about half of the group ran from the officer on foot. He ordered, of course, for them to stop. … There were several vehicles left at that location.”

While investigating the scene, the officer figured out that one of the people who fled was Soulja Boy, 19, who eventually returned to claim his white Range Rover, which was left at the house. Upon his return, the officer charged the rapper with one count of obstruction, a misdemeanor, for running from police when he’d been ordered to stop. The rapper was released on $550 bond on Thursday morning and a follow-up court date was not available at press time.

A spokesperson for Soulja Boy had no comment on the arrest at press time. It was unknown what video the rapper, who frequently posts viral videos on his Web site, was shooting before the incident.

Method Man Booked for Four-Year Tax Evasion

Method Man, a member of the notoriously gangster rap group Wu-Tang Clan, was arrested for a notoriously un-gangster felony: not filing his taxes.

Clifford “Method Man” Smith turned himself in to Staten Island police today on charges of failing to pay four years worth of income taxes, amounting to $32, 799. There is a hearing scheduled for this afternoon and if he does end up being convicted, he could face up to four years in jail.

This is Meth’s second brush with American taxes – his n Navigator was repossessed in 2008 by the Department of Taxation.

Method Man was scheduled to hit the road this fall with Redman and Snoop Dogg on the “Malice in Wonderland High School Tour” in support of Snoop’s new album,

There is no word as to what this will mean for his potential fall tour with Snoop Dogg and Redman, the Wonderland High School Tour in support of Snoop’s new album, Malice in Wonderland. The tour is scheduled to kick off on Oct. 27 in Baltimore.

Cast of Vampire Diaries Arrested

The new CW show, The Vampire Diaries, is host to some pretty wild antics by the cast and crew. The show that premiered yesterday has already encountered some off-set shenanigans.

According to perezhilton.com, several actresses from The Vampire Diaries and an accompanying photographer were booked for disorderly conduct last week for participating in a photo shoot that included hanging over the I-75 bridge at Rumble Road in Smarr, Georgia.

They were detained while authorities responded to the 911 calls of seven different motorists citing women in danger. Yet, one caller claims the ladies were flashing traffic down below.

Nina Dobreva, Candice Accola, Kayla Ewell, Krystal Vayda, Sara Canning and photog Tyler Schields were released from the Monroe County Jail the same day after each paying $1,000 bond.

On another note, an employee of the BP Food Mart nearby said the group came by and took some “fun kind of pictures” while straddling his store’s gas pumps.

Michael Vick’s Return to the NFL

NFL Quarterback Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated into the NFL following a 20 month stint in prison for a highly publicized dogfight scandal, reports Perez Hilton.

Vick, who is currently a free agent, may attend preseason practices, workouts and meetings. If he is signed by a team, he will be permitted to play in the final two preseason games.

He may participate in all team activities except for games once the regular football season begins, and may be back on the field for games as early as October.

Fielder-Civil Will Go Back To Jail While Winehouse Remains In Hospital

Blake Fielder-Civil, singer Amy Winehouse’s husband, was ordered back to prison for violating the terms of his release according to E! Online.

Fielder-Civil, 26, had agreed to check into rehab right away and spend a month receiving treatment for his drug addiction as part of his early release deal.

Britain’s Sun newspaper reported Fielder-Civil is being sent back to prison after refusing a drug test, meaning he will have to serve the rest of his 27-month sentence for assaulting a barkeep and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Winehouse’s hubby would therefore be in prison until early 2010.

Meanwhile, Winehouse remains in a London hospital since November 23. The Grammy-winning singer is recovering from an allergic reaction to her medication.

It has been widely reported that Winehouse has consulted with divorce attorneys, but the singer’s rep has denied she is seeking to end her marriage with Fielder-Civil.

Anne Hathaway’s ex-bf sentenced to 4 1/2 years

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, was sentenced Thursday to 4 1/2 years in prison in a Manhattan federal court.

Follieri delivered a statement through an interpreter, in which he stressed that he wasn’t raised with bad values, and started off with good intentions. He also admitted that what he did was wrong and hopes to be forgiven by those he has hurt. He will to not appeal a sentence of less than 63 months in prison.

Follieri was arrested in June and pleaded guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy in September. Initially, sentencing was planned for December, but the hearing was moved up to Oct. 3 after Follieri was unable to meet his $21 million bail.

Hathaway began dating Follieri in 2004, and the two broke up in June this year. Follieri was arrested in April of this year as well, for trying to pass a $215,000 bad cheque.

Naomi Campbell Avoids Jail

Naomi Campbell avoided a maximum six-month jail term for assaulting two police officers, reports E! News.

Instead, the supermodel was sentenced to 200 hours of community service for the air-rage ruckus, fined $4,600 and ordered to pay $400 to each of the police officers she attacked and $300 to the captain of the flight.

Back in April, Campbell became upset with crew members of a British Airway flight when one of her bags apparently went missing at London’s Heathrow Airport. After airport police attempted to restore order, Campbell spat on one officer and was escorted off the aircraft and taken into custody.

“She feels what happened was regrettable and she has come to court today to put her side of the story,” said Campbell’s rep Alan Edwards.

Hogan Family Receiving Death Threats

While Nick Hogan, son of Hulk, is serving jail time for seriously injuring a man in a car accident, his family is receiving threats from the victim’s family.

Perez Hilton reports that police are investigating the Graziano family, and have listened to the voicemails.

Police would not release the names of the Graziano family members that had left the messages, nor which member of the Hogan family the threats were targeting.

The Hogan’s attorney, Morris Weinberg, stated that the family is taking the threats very seriously.

Meanwhile, Nick Hogan has been releasing statements about how upsetting it is for him to be in jail, and both Hogan parents have taken on much younger lovers. There seems to be no end to their drama.

Nick Hogan Denied House Arrest

Not surprisingly, Hulk Hogan’s son is not happy with the conditions at the Pinellas County Jail.

According to gossip website PerezHilton.com, a motion filed by Nick Hogan’s attorney to have him placed under house arrest until he is 18-years-old has been denied by a judge.

Young Hogan is being held in solitary confinement because he is not old enough to be part of the general population and, according to reports, the teen has lost at least 10 pounds and has no access to a telephone or TV.

The 17-year-old was sentenced May 9 to eight months in jail after pleading no contest to one count of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.

Jail Broke Rules for Martha

Breaking the law got her behind bars but breaking the rules in jail got Martha Stewart her own nativity scene.

On Tuesday’s episode of the Stewart’s show, she displayed the entire set of figures that she made while imprisoned. While showing off the set, Stewart said, “Even though every inmate was only allowed to do one a month, and I was only there for five months, I begged because I said I was an expert potter ? ceramicist actually ? and could I please make the entire nativity scene.”

The prison allowed Stewart to fire and glaze each figure.
