Former rivals JA RULE and THE GAME are putting the past behind them, and have teamed up to record a track for the former’s newest album.
Former G-Unit member The Game collaborates with Ja Rule on Sunset, which will appear on Mirror – his first offering in almost three years – due out 13
November (07).
Ja Rule tells RollingStone.com of the unlikely pairing; “I don’t think people were expecting that. But we got a hot record on the album.
“The whole industry is so focused on beefin’ with each other – it’s like the WWF of rap right now. I’m stepping out of the arena. I don’t want to be a wrestlin’ rapper.” (KJM/WNWCM/ES)

Rap supremo JA RULE is set to remix a BEATLES classic for his new album, and hopes that the track will do justice to the original.
Father Forgive Me samples the Fab Four’s song Eleanor Rigby, which had its original heyday on 1966 album Revolver and will get another spin on Ja’s album Mirror, due for release on 13 November (07).
Ja Rule tells RollingStone.com, “Hopefully I make the Beatles proud. Big shout-out to Paul McCartney and the whole gang, Ringo and everybody!”

JA RULE has had a lawsuit filed by a New Jersey contractor dropped – because the complainant fears for his safety.
The rapper – real name Jeffrey Atkins – was accused of failing to pay contractor Joel Tobia the remaining $8,000 (£4,000) balance of a $13,000 (£6,500) bill, after he agreed to fix a bad leak at the star’s Saddle River mansion earlier this year (07).
But in a dramatic U-turn on Thursday (16Aug07), Tobia withdrew his criminal complaint against Atkins, telling Superior Court Judge Roy F. McGeady he was “extremely uncomfortable going forward with this case”, reports the New York Daily News.
Appearing at Hackensack Municipal Court, he added: “People are asking me, ‘Do you know what you are doing?’
“I have two children. I am concerned. I hope you are reading between the lines.”
Atkins, who was not in attendance, is a close friend and business associate of The Inc. boss Irv Gotti – born Irving Lorenzo – who has previously been linked to convicted New York drug lord Kenneth ‘Supreme’ McGriff. (MT/WNWCDN/MEH)
