Cody Simpson is such a suave gentleman we just had to ask if he had any dating advice to share. Sometimes it’s hard to remember the Australian hottie is only 15, considering everything he’s accomplished. Simpson talked to @Jordans_Life about working with Dr. Luke and shared what inspires him in his music (hint, the outdoors play a key part). Finally he reveals how he would spend a last day on Earth.

While Conor Maynard chose The Mayniacs as the name of his massive fan group, we’re kind of liking the alternate title, The Condoms. It’s no surprise his fans came up with this name considering his hits are so-called “panty droppers.” @Jordans_Life sat down with Conor, who talked about the crazy experiences he’s had with The Mayniacs, including fan mail and strange experiences on Twitter.

Maybe the reason we connect with Hey Ocean! so much is because they each channel their own spirit animals. Or maybe it’s because they sink into their songs by dancing and pointing finger guns on stage. In this episode of Making Waves, the trio reveal their guilty pleasures and perform “Big Blue Wave” in an intimate performance by the lake.

Imagine Dragon’s new single “It’s Time went viral after being used in the trailer for the coming of age film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, starring Emma Watson. Their EP Continued Silence was released on Valentine’s Day and they’re currently recording their debut album Night Visions with Alex Da Kid (Nicki Minaj, Rihanna).
In a phone interview with andPOP, lead vocalist Dan Reynold’s said that while things are moving flash-fast, they’re ready. “I think it’s important for a band to have time to prepare or else they go viral overnight and are forgotten,” he said. “We’ve been a band for three years and are building something from the ground up.”
Here are a few things you may not know about them:
Imagine Dragons are pranksters: The guys don’t have access to the Internet on the road so they usually watch shows like Dexter and Game of Thrones. “Suddenly it’s taken a turn for the worse and has become a prank van,” Reynolds laughs. Pranks range from them slipping their clinical insomniac guitarist a five-hour energy drink (he stayed up for a week straight) or sneakily putting stickers in hair (ouch) so the victim has to yank it out later. Reynold’s best prank was an act of revenge, after a crew member pretended to delete every file on his computer. Upon discovering the prankster has major arachnophobia, he hid a hairy tarantula in a donut box. “He reached in and grabbed a donut. When he realized there was a spider in there he freaked out,” Reynolds said. “So we’re even now.”

Justin Bieber is usually very polite in interviews. But during a talk with radio host Mojo from Mojo in the Morning, the singer lost his temper and hung up the phone when he was asked about his mother and One Direction.
Just as a normal interview would go, the chat appeared to be going well in the beginning. However, it started to go downhill when the singer was compared to Justin Timberlake.
Sounding unimpressed, Justin said, “Man that’s crazy ’cause our voices sound nothing alike. I mean, saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment.”
Nonetheless, Justin and Mojo continue the conversation until Mojo made a cheeky joke about One Direction’s Harry Styles falling for the singer’s mom.
Sounding quite angry, Justin replies, “I think you should worry about me around your mom, bro.”
But wait for it.
This is when the conversation gets SUPER awkward. As Mojo went on to explain that his mother was dead, Justin ends up hanging up the phone. Soon after, his rep calls back to explain that Justin got upset and probably won’t be calling back.
While I can see why Justin would get upset, do you think he went a bit too far? He has gotten in a bit of trouble for his temper, but I really hope the fame hasn’t got to his head!
Listen to the interview here:
Sometimes in life, you come across individuals with special talents you never would of thought they had.
Meet Christopher Varnado, a man with a golden voice who just so happens to not have a home. In an interview conducted in downtown L.A., Christopher graces the camera with his beautiful voice.
So far, the interviewer is trying to get into contact with this individual. The video has since been monetized so that anything made from it will be passed along to Christopher.
WOW. Just imagine if this man recorded an album. I bet a lot of people would pay to listen to that amazing voice.
From chains to flashy bling, the guys of Far East Movement have a keen sense of style. They sat down with @Jordans_life and talked about musical geniuses that inspired their whole Dirty Bass vibe, such as The Beastie Boys, RUN D.M.C, LL Cool J and more. It’s pretty much their homage to the classics. If you couldn’t help but notice the huge boom box on the side (that used to be a briefcase), it actually works! I know..awesome!

So, I’m going to go ahead and add this cat cafe that Katy Perry visits in her new film Katy Perry: Part of Me to my bucket list. While in Tokyo, Perry actually PAID to have a tea party with a bunch of costumed cats sitting and running around cupcake shaped beds.
While some people (ahem, Kimmel) don’t understand the draw of cat tea parties Perry’s obsession with Japanese culture goes WAY BACK. “I’m obsessed with Japanese people,” Perry told Jimmy Kimmel.
After her usually-angelic teenage sister was banished from her family home for stealing lingerie from Macy’s, Perry’s parents accepted Japanese exchange students to live in her sister’s room for a couple months.
“I was just like AHH! Everything is Hello Kitty and it’s perfect and it’s clean and you eat with sticks!!” (I add the extra exclamation marks because of her pure excitement.) “She brought me these Hello Kitty chopsticks and I still haven’t opened them and I was like 13. I will always and forever have them.”
Fast forward more than a decade and Perry is basically an anime character who wears Hello Kitty dresses and visits quirky cat cafes with her besties. What’s not to love?

Would you ever consider putting Mario Lopez and a bunch of snakes in the same sentence? Cobra Starship would. Gabe and Alex chat with @Jordans_life about their new single “#1Nite” and what better idea was it to actually add in the hashtag, for Twitter — duh! Gabe mentions that the music video has a road trip vibe with My Name Is Kay (who features on the track) that was influenced by one of his favourite 90s movies, “True Romance.”
After all the Biebs has accomplished and only being 18-years-old, he’s finally got the keys to his own pad and totally taking advantage of the situation. Being followed by fans and paps everyday, (which can be totally exhausting) Justin can finally have the privacy he deserves, and literally bares all.
In a recent interview on Hot 97, Justin told Angie Martinez, “I am running around naked in the house, often. That’s what you have to do when you get your own place, feel comfortable to just run around, get some cereal — butt naked.”
Now ladies.. don’t get too excited. It’s not like his walls are made of glass because we all know that Justin and glass DO NOT go together.
Far East Movement were pretty balling in high school, swimming and learning backstroke (if you get our sexual innuendo). They sat down with andPOP after the MMVAs and described their first kiss with tongue which was way back in elementary school. WHA? They also talk about partying Project X style with dogs on the trampoline and everything.
David Letterman came off as a stern Grandpa last night when he ragged on Justin Bieber for his many tattoos. Then he ragged on Justin AGAIN for getting the name of the Sistine Chapel wrong.
Bieber’s currently promoting his new album Believe (which is out now BTW) and stopped by David Letterman to perform “Boyfriend.”
Because of his new album, Justin got the word BELIEVE tattooed on his left arm. We all know JB is no stranger to tattoos (he already has a few) so I found it kind of odd that David was so taken back by the whole thing, openly giving his piece of mind, ”Oh God, how many do you have?” and “Well tell me that’s the last one.” You could tell Justin felt kind of uncomfortable, and I don’t blame him. I personally don’t think having ink on your body changes someone as a person. Justin responded to Grandpa David by saying it’s a way he expresses himself.
“Do me a favor, don’t go nuts,” Letterman said. “More and more you see murales like the Sistine Chapel and it’s too much!”
Justin answered with: “I’m not going for the Sixteen Chapel,” causing the audience and David to erupt into a fit of self-righteous giggles.
David then chuckled and said, “Canadian high school.” Ouch! We think he’s being a little bit harsh on Justin not to mention ALL OF CANADA.

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from Esthero (2005 to be exact) but she’s back with the single “Never Gonna Let You Go” from her forthcoming studio album Everything is Expensive. The catchy, upbeat track will undoubtedly be stuck in your head all day until you’re all like “I can’t take it, I need to know more about this talented chick.” That’s where we do you a total solid…
Five things we love about Canadian singer/songwriter Esthero:
She watches viral videos: Esthero is lost in a vortex of viral videos and it’s all our fault. She’s watching “Five hilarious videos under 25 seconds” on loop and can’t stop cracking up at the auto-correct fails, particularly the phrase ‘unicorn titties.’ She tells me her favourite viral video is “How to Stop A Nightmare,” which somehow went passed my radar. “You’re going to be OVER,” she jokes. She was right, the cuteness was actually too much to take.
The record was a surprise: She wasn’t planning on making another record but a few unwritten songs were haunting her when she went to bed. One day she said “f*ck it, I’ll go in and record.” She booked four days in the recording studio and eventually two songs became four and four became more. The songs were flowing naturally and bubbling up so quickly she could hardly keep up. “I was really puking out this album,” she says over the phone from Los Angeles. “I got musically pregnant and it’s like giving birth. All we want to do is dance to her new single ”Never Gonna Let You Go” (below).
She worked with Kanye and he’s a tank: Read more…
The MMVAs are all about party rocking. That’s why andPOP’s @Jordans_Life decided to do some of our fave celebs a solid, by breathalyzing them on the red carpet. We just have safety in mind. According to our results, some of the celebs were totally safe while others were in serious danger. Included: Cody Simpson, Lucy Hale, Marianas Trench, Darren Criss and more!

Cody Simpson joined us at a secret location downtown Toronto, where he sat down for an exclusive interview with @Jordans_life and played a couple songs for 50 of his biggest fans. He performed “Got Me Good” and “Wish U Were Here,” which are both off his new EP “Preview To Paradise.” Cody’s Angels were fan-girling hardcore but lucky enough for them, Cody took the time to sign autographs and take pictures with them! What a gentleman.

In a preview of the sit-down interview Kim Kardashian has with Oprah, she reveals the things she loves most about her main squeeze rapper Kanye West.
But surprisingly enough, it isn’t the fame, money or the big ego that makes her love her man. It’s his age (35 years old).
“Before, all my boyfriends were younger. I always dated five years younger,” Kardashian, 31, told the Big O. “Now I just love that I’m with someone that’s a couple years older than me.”
Well isn’t that nice Kim? In the interview she also mentions that she’s “totally growing up.” I guess at the age of 31 that is one truly mind-blowing epiphany.
But all things set aside, let’s hope her and Kanye don’t rush things. Because if Kim’s marriage to Kris Humphries was any indication of drama, a quickie marriage once again won’t do any good.
