Just like Jennifer Lawrence, I have a gender confused cat. My roommates and I originally thought our cat was a boy so we named him her Earl… then a couple weeks later she had a new boyfriend named Noodle. Similarly, Jennifer Lawrence had a supposedly male cat named Oliver. Upon learning Oliver was actually a girl, Lawrence renamed the cat Chaz Bono because of course.
Lawrence went on Ellen to promote Silver Linings Playbook and described her cat’s “masculine energy.” Funnily enough, she says her cat pees on her down bed cover because she hates her, which kind of reminds me of the love/hate relationship Katniss has with Prim’s cat in The Hunger Games.

Lawrence also talked about her adventure swimming with sharks and how her mom hijacked her Oscar ballot.

British munchkins and Ellen regulars Sophia Grace and Rosie pretty much exploded at their most recent interview describing how it felt opening for One Direction. The ladies were dressed in pink frilly dresses and their trademark tiaras during their performance of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.”
“It was so good, cause I’ve dreamed of being a pop star on a stage since I was two and a half or three,” said nine-year-old Sophia Grace.
They also revealed to Ellen who their fave members of One Direction are. While Rosie likes Zayn because of his fuzzy hair, Sophia Grace likes Harry because he’s a good bloke and waved at her and Rosie in the crowd.
The two young girls who become Internet celebrities after posting a video of themselves singing Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” in 2011, which has since gained 39 million views. At the end of the interview, they surprised Ellen with a special present — paintings they created themselves!

Barack Obama’s fave band Two Door Cinema Club performed an acoustic version of “Sleep Alone” for ANDPOP and talked about all the mundane things that excite them in North America.
It’s no surprise they spend more time over here than anywhere else in the world, considering how crazy we are about them. Even the Pres is a huge fan of the Northern Irish trio. There were rumours a couple months ago that Obama booked every seat for one of their gigs in Washington DC and although it wasn’t true, we’d believe it!
“We actually spend more time in America than anywhere else in the world,” said bass player Kevin Baird.
One Direction got felt up by some INCREDIBLY LUCKY fans on Ellen yesterday in what I’m sure was one of the most seductive prime time television games the guys have ever played. Three fans were blindfolded and told to identify certain members of the band by fondling them all over (well, PG fondling).
Naturally, prankster Niall managed to get one of the ladies to grope his arse while he was straddling Harry’s back, and strangely, none of this sounds out of character.
All three ladies got iPads for playing but that really doesn’t compare to getting a hug from the one and only Harry Styles… and feeling Niall’s toosh.
The guys also talked about their dating lives and confirmed who’s single. Harry, Niall and the recently broken up Liam are all ready to mingle, and described their perfect ladies. Niall is looking for an American cutey with a sense of humor and Harry is looking for someone funny like Ellen (though she seemed to be more into Niall).
Of course, they also performed their classic “What Makes You Beautiful” for the 5000-strong crowd, some of which were sitting on rooftops of nearby buildings.

The first album Wiz Khalifa ever bought with his own money was DMX’s single “Get At Me Dog,” which is pretty trippy considering the Pittsburgh rapper has since toured with X for Rock the Bells and his fiance Amber Rose has a soft spot for the guy.
Wiz was growing up in Pittsburgh and had to save up for the album, which included the clean, regular and instrumental versions as well as “Stop Being Greedy” on the B-side.
“I was doing chores at the time,” Wiz told ANDPOP. “I was in second or third grade probably and had $10. There was this place called Edgewood Towne Centre right up the street from where I lived on the East side of town so I had to walk all the way up the street, all the way up the hill. I got the the Towne Centre, looked at everything and for some reason DMX stood out so I was like ‘I’ll get that one,’ and I loved it.”
Wiz also opened up about getting crazy sh*t stuck up his nose and first learning about doggy-style as a “crazy little man” for an episode of “Way Back When.” Naturally, this resulted in obligatory talk about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, because (duh) Wiz is OBSESSED with the art of ninjutsu.
The suddenly bearded Andrew Garfield went on TheEllenShow where he was cajoled into dancing badly for charity, and I have to say, he’s the best worst dancer I’ve seen. Andrew had to attempt every dance style Ellen held up on flashcards and for each one he performed correctly, $1000 was donated to Worldwide Orphan’s Foundation. How can you say no to such a worthwhile cause?
Styles included Gangnam Style, the robot, belly-dancing and the Irish jig. He managed to get all of them correct and although he ran out of time, he convinced Ellen to keep going, eventually earning the full $10,000.
The Amazing Spider-Man actor was quite proud of his beard, saying it only took him 29-years to grow. Ellen responded: “I guess it’s a big deal, like men want to know they can grow a beard.” Andrew replied, saying: ‘That’s the only reason to be a man.”
While Ellen tried to get him to talk about his girlfriend and former co-star Emma Stone, he dodged the questions, opting instead to talk about Denis Leary.

Before she fell hard for vampires, Kristen Stewart racked up tons of cute cameos and supporting film roles as a child actor. With The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 2 coming out this Friday, we figured it’s about time to look at K-Stew’s evolution from child actress to Twilight superstar.
She has a showbiz family
Kristen’s no stranger to Hollywood, considering she was raised in L.A. She was born on April 9, 1990 to a TV producing dad and script supervising mom. At first, Kristen wanted to work behind the scenes like her parents, but we’re happy she ended up on screen.
She practiced being famous
With a huge smile and even bigger shades, Kristen couldn’t be more of a diva in this shot from when she was about three. She even rehearsed being a star: “I always practiced my autograph because I loved pens,” Kristen said. “I’d write my name on everything.”
First Hollywood movie
After a year of auditions, nine-year-old K-Stew made her big-budget movie debut in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas in 2000. Watch out for the the cutie tossing rings in the pink dress! A whole four seconds…

Miley Cyrus was pranked on Ellen today after a lightbulb burst and two sexy “electricians” came out to fix it. Turns out, the electricians were actually STRIPPERS in honour of Miley’s forthcoming nuptials and obligatory bachelorette party. The two muscly men thrusted and tore their white tanks off, right down the middle. While more modest celebrities might be embarrassed, Miley shouted “HELLZ YA” and slapped their asses because she’s pretty much that girl everyone wants at their party…
Miley also cleared up the silly rumour going around that she’s having more than one wedding. FALSE. “There’s some rumor going around that I’m having like 47 weddings,” she said. “I’m not! I’m having one wedding. That’s my day and whatever I want on that day, it will be about me in that moment and that look of love.” D’AW!

Miley also talked about her haircut. The haircut. Now can we all please shut up about it?

Didn’t anyone tell The Today Show it’s impolite to ask questions about private relationships? Interviewer Savannah Guthrie waited until the very end of her interview this morning to ask whether Kristen and Robert Pattinson are back together again. It was for the good of the fans, Guthrie argued.
The usually shy Stewart answered coyly, neither confirming no denying the rumours. ”Funny you mention that,” K-Stew said. “I’m just going to let people watch whatever little movie they would like to think our lives are and go for it. Keep ‘em guessing, I always say.”

I’m presuming The Today Show either had permission to ask the question, giving Stewart sufficient time to come up with a clever answer. Either that, or they were just ballsy enough to go there. Either way, Kristen has told us to think whatever we want to think so in my head her and RPatz are cuddling under Snuggies watching reruns of Dawson’s Creek as I write this.
Of course, Stewart was there to promote the next instalment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Shy Robert Pattinson was unusually zany on Jimmy Kimmel last night (Monday) and blogger Perez Hilton thinks it’s because he was a little tipsy. Hilton theorizes he was feeling nervous because his interview was airing at the same time as Kristen Stewart’s appearance on Jay Leno. Considering Kimmel equips his green rooms with bottles of vodka we think he might be right!
Sitting cross-legged on his chair (to hide his ugly socks of course), Pattinson admitted to having a little bit of vodka backstage. The vodka just seems to have fuelled Pattinson’s normally charming self. Later in the interview, he talked about being a loud kisser, sky-diving in Australia and of course, the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn Part 2!!

Disney’s latest 3D flick may include some of your favourite video game characters like Bowser, Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog. However, none of this would have been possible without the guidance of animation director Rich Moore.
But even if you’ve never heard of Moore before, chances are you’re familiar with some of his work. Having directed episodes of The Simpsons and Futurama, he is actually an accomplished director with two Primetime Emmy Awards under his belt.
Speaking about his new film Wreck-it Ralph during a phone call, Moore let us in on what it was like to create a movie about video games.
Wreck-It Ralph focuses on the bad guy:
An underdog story, the film surrounds Wreck-It-Ralph, a video game villain with dreams of becoming a hero. Tired of being overshadowed by good guy Fix-It-Felix, Ralph goes on a quest that ultimately brings havoc to the whole arcade he lives in.
Believe or not, “hero” Fix-It-Felix was originally supposed to be the star of the film. But when Moore and screenwriter Phil Johnston weren’t really getting traction with the project, they scrapped the idea and decided to focus the movie on Wreck-It Ralph instead.
“In a feature, the main character has an arc, a journey. They learn something or something changes in that character,” Moore says. “It was tough to build a nice comedic story with a lot of heart around (Fix-it-Felix).”
The flick features appearances by 190 characters and the voice talents of some of Hollywood’s biggest names:
Featuring cameos by Sonic the Hedgehog’s Doctor Eggman, Street Fighter’s Chun-Li and even Paddles 1 and 2 from Pong, the film also includes original characters voiced by John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch and Alan Tudyk.
While working with everyone has been a treat for Moore, he was particularly pleased to have Reilly on board as the title character of Wreck-It Ralph.
Reilly, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Chicago, was so invested with his role that he even asked Moore to meet with the animators who created his character.
“(Reilly) was so hands on and so instrumental in fleshing out who Ralph is and what he’s like. Every character he plays feels like a real human being. You really care about his characters and you want them to achieve what it is that they want and desire.” Read more…
The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report’s Stephen Colbert revealed the origins of their long-standing relationship on Jimmy Kimmel. Little did I know, they met on JDate where Colbert was “trolling for Jews.” Now they live together and commute to work everyday on a tandem bicycle.
If only this was true. The story of how they actually met is no less fascinating. Colbert trolled Stewart’s press conference, when he first got selected to host The Daily Show. Colbert decided to cover The Daily Show’s event (even though he already worked there) and asked Stewart if his chance to host one day was now completely squashed.
The two late night hosts also talked about voting in the upcoming presidential elections and Hurricane Sandy. Watch the rest of the segments below. The entire first segment (after the jump) is devoted to their epic entrance.

This headline sort of speaks for itself. If you’ve seen the video for “Life As We Know It,” you might be wondering how they got a half-naked woman to make out with a stranger in the shower. This interview answers that question and provides some insight into how things got a little out of control on set. @Jordans_life also introduces the guys to an explicit act called “the rodeo clown.”

It’s the night of Hurricane Sandy in Toronto and I have to repeat my question for Milo Greene’s Robbie Arnett a few times because the wireless service over the phone keeps cutting out. I hear music in the background — it sounds like a piano — as he tells me what he ordered at the restaurant. Pad Thai, mildly spicy, with lemon and water. Delicious. The indie folk band drove straight from Montreal in their van, and is now relaxing before their show at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern in a couple hours.
Robbie is one of four vocalists, none of whom are actually named Milo, in the Los Angeles quintet. Milo Greene was the fictional identity of their British booking agent who “represented” them through their college years. They don’t need his services anymore and are currently playing shows across North America. They recently released a self-titled debut album that includes the track “1957″ and completed a short film named Moddison, which is the name of a track on their album. Over the phone, Robbie tells me all about pre-show jitters, guilty music pleasures and nearly driving off a cliff at the Grand Canyon.
First, some mood music. Listen to “1957.”
What are you up to right now?
I’m over at Rivoli’s, which is a bar right next to Horseshoe Tavern. We’re just getting some food and enjoying Monday night football before the show.
Do you get nervous before performing?
It’s more of a nervous energy. It doesn’t matter if we’re playing in front of five people or 500, I just get a little anxious. Once I get up there settle into it I get a little more relaxed.
You just played The Bowery Ballroom a few days ago. Looks like you narrowly missed Hurricane Sandy in New York.
It’s kind of scary. Our manager is in Boston with his girlfriend and they were supposed to fly back to LA this morning but he’s not able to fly back for a few days. Everything’s locked down but we kind of escaped some madness.

Paige Thomas always wanted to be a singer. When she was eight years old she performed a Spice Girls song at a beauty pageant, and ever since then, she knew singing was what she wanted to do. Although she began pursuing a nursing degree to provide for her three-year old daughter Jade, she never gave up on her dream.
After a teary audition where she sang Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Goin’ Down,” Paige has continued to impress the audience and judges, including her mentor Demi Lovato. Now, she’s ready to show everyone that she is not “Ri Ri 2.0.” She is Paige Thomas and she is going up.
Where are you right now? I’m in California.
Where would you be right now if you weren’t on X-Factor? I would probably be back home in San Antonio in school, or with my daughter.
On being compared to Rihanna: It’s nice. She is beautiful and she is one of the biggest stars right now. It’s nice to be compared to someone so big. But I’m ready to break out from that: my name is Paige Thomas and I have something different from her. I have a few surprises in store for everyone.
Song you can perform 100 times? “Paradise” by Coldplay. It has a lot of meaning — it’s still got a pop vibe in it, but you can hear the emotional attachment.
Most nerve-racking moment? Honestly, it was if I made it to the live shows. The anticipation and everything I’d gone through on my journey had built up inside me.
What sets you apart from the other contestants? I’m fearless and I’m willing to try anything and everything. I have somewhat of a complete package. I can dance, sing, I have stage presence and I have a passion for this.

I was pretty certain if you put Justin Bieber and Oprah in the same room, it wouldn’t be able to contain their awesomeness and would inevitably self detonate. The theory was first tested back in 2010 when Justin Bieber went on the Oprah show, but so much time has passed and more awesomeness has been achieved. I wasn’t sure what would happen, but luckily I was wrong.
Bieber tweeted this photo of himself and the talk show host today with the caption: “Me and @Oprah just swaggin it out.”
The two have been “swaggin it out” over the past couple days, as OWN is airing a special backstage look at his Believe tour on Nov. 25. The episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter will also include an in-depth interview.
Yesterday, Oprah went to Justin’s Chicago concert where she revelled at the crying fans and took a backstage tour:
Oprah tweeted after the show: “BELIEVE concert so impressive. Thanks for a SUPER FUN nite Can’t wait to talk to you tomorrow!”
Another friendly face got in on the action and called Oprah his boo. Scooter Braun shared this photo and later tweeted: “sitting here thinking how proud i am of @justinbieber and how he carried himself in that interview with @oprah - cant wait for u all to see.”

You wouldn’t tell from looking at Fergie now, but in 2001 she was broke and addicted to crystal meth. “I got into a scene,” she says in a clip from Oprah’s Next Chapter. “I started going out and taking ecstasy. From ecstasy it went to crystal meth. With any drugs, everything is great at the beginning, and then slowly your life starts to spiral down.”
She hit rock bottom after her girl group Wild Orchid was dropped from their record label and was living in an alternate reality. One day, she hid in a church because she was convinced the FBI was following her. There, she made a deal with herself: if she went outside and there was no major conspiracy afoot, she knew it was the effect of the drugs. When she bucked up the courage to go outside and realized it was all paranoia, she followed through on her promise. She started therapy, did a lot of soul searching and quit after a year of drug abuse.
Her journey makes her rise to multiplatinum recording artist with the Black Eyed Peas even more inspiring. We haven’t seen her for a little while because she’s been taking a break to have kids with hubby Josh Duhamel, but you’ll be able to see her on Oct. 28, at 10 pm on OWN’s Oprah Next Chapter.
Allstar Weekend’s Michael Martinez is the only member turned away from the camera on the cover of their new album The American Dream. Considering all the folklore behind album covers, we wanted to get to the bottom of this. Is it some type of hidden message? A conspiracy? ANDPOP’s @Jordans_Life sat down with the guys and talked to them about their cover, being unphotogenic (we beg to differ) and the evolution of music.

According to Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas’ song “Wedding Bells,” which he performs with his brothers, is all about her. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, she said she thinks it’s “pretty blatant” that she’s the subject of the song, which is all about wanting to “try one last time” with a past love and not wanting to “hear the wedding bells chime.”
Miley is currently engaged to The Hunger Games’ Liam Hemsworth, however she dated Nick when they were both in Disney. Online sleuths are already touting the anniversary mentioned in Nick’s song (June 11) is the exact same day Miley describes meeting her first love in her autobiography, Miles to Go.
She told Ryan she has no hard feelings: ”Everyone has to write songs that are about things that they felt and he even introduced that this isn’t the way that I am,” she said. “So, you can’t ever hate on someone for writing about something you’ve been through. I think that you kind of get a fair warning when you date an artist and someone that’s a writer—when you’re going through things that you’re going to end up hearing about it on the radio.”
It must be bittersweet to date a musician like Nick Jonas or Taylor Swift (who also talks about past relationships in her songs), but ultimately, these personal experiences make their songs so relatable. At the same time, it might be a bit presumptuous for Miley to assume it’s all about her. Still, at least they were positive words right? A song called “Wedding Bells” is a lot more flattering than a song called “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!”
