When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.
Diamandis from Marina and The Diamonds talks to us about her very serious disease. It’s called synaesthetic. And we lied, it’s not a disease. More like a cool condition. Diamandis explains further.
Would you be embarrassed if someone scrolled through your iPod? We sit down with Spee and Brendan to talk about the diverse music on their playlist.
Marina and The Diamonds are working on some new music, but Marina is being very secretive about it. Although the release has been delayed, she let’s us in on some secrets about the new album, and how alcohol changed her life.
As someone who practically grew up on a film set, it’s easy for Daniel Radcliffe to relate to his younger co-workers. In his latest movie, The Woman In Black, Dan traded his Hogwarts uniform for a totally new role as a Dad. It’s not as far fetched as it may seem. Although he’s only twenty-two years old, the film takes place in an era where most people were having babies in their teens. What really makes The Woman In Black believable is Mr. Radcliffe’s acting (we say Mr. Because he’s a father now). So what’s the key to playing a convincing father? Dan tells us about his “get off the shed” voice.
For decades, many people have been buying into the idea that sex, drugs and music are synonymous. Even The Kooks have built somewhat of a reputation based on the fallacy that they’re just a bunch of party hooligans from Brighton. In reality, they’re actually pretty relaxed people. Like anyone, they like the occasional pint and Luke has dabbled with mind-altering substances. Their key to success, however, is keeping the Rock N’ Roll lifestyle separate from the actual music. When The Kooks are in the studio they’re focused and most importantly, sober. Watch Hugh and Luke explain their reasoning below.

Daniel Radcliffe just stopped by our studio for a live interview. He’s in town to promote his new film “The Woman in Black”. It’s unlike any film he’s ever made before. It’s suspenseful and at times, very scary.
Daniel mentioned in the interview he scares very easily. He recalls watching “Jumanji” when he was a kid and being very afraid of the eight-foot tall spiders.
Watch the interview below and find how how Daniel prepared for his new role and how he feels about being followed by the paparazzi.

What would you do if the world was taken over by the walking dead? Studies have proven following @andPOP on Twitter could save you from a zombie apocalypse. In this interview, we spoke to Jordan about fighting off the undead, bringing his fans muffins and maybe even paying their tuition.
When we first met Nick Carter, we were under the assumption that he spent most of his free time on a bed of money playing with precious metals. Contrary to our initial thoughts, we were quick to discover that even though he was a part of one of the largest-grossing groups of our generation, he’s just a regular guy. How do we know this? He plays World of Warcraft. Not only that, he’s the head of his guild, demonstrating that it IS possible to juggle being a hardcore gamer with being a top-selling recording artist. Just remember that the next time you blame your lack of a social life on your devotion to your guild.

A little while back, Nick Carter dropped by the andPOP studio to do a LIVE interview (broadcast on andPOP.TV) and as we suspected our twitter literally blew up with questions. There were great questions about music, fitness, the backstreet boys but the most popular question, however, was about his underwear. In this clip Nick talks about his his ‘Haynes’ and covering his fans with glow in the dark paint.

Selena Gomez was on Baltimore radio station Z104.3, and she talked about why so many Justin Bieber fans hate her.
“It’s a little odd, but I understand it completely,” she admitted. “It’s amazing to me to see how many passionate fans there are. So obviously, you’ve just got to think of the fans first, and that’s OK.”
Selena also said it’s “kind of” annoying that she and Bieber can’t share the same fans, but said it’s “kind of cool we have our own individual [fans].”
Why do you think so many Bieber fans hate Selena so much?
Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus traded interview secrets via Twitter earlier. The two pop stars apparently get tired of doing interview after interview.
Demi Lovato tweeted on Twitter ”About to do a 3 hour interview… Damn!” While it sounds like fun for the average Joe, remember interviews are work!
In response, Miley Cyrus tweeted back, “Do what I do & play games! Make someone give u crazy words and you have 2 say it in the interview! 1st word- snicker doodle
” Demi’s reply to Miley was, “hahaha! I wish I would’ve done that!!! I did that once with tits HA!!!”
Although interviews sound fun, we guess after a while, they can get repetitive and boring. Or it could get boring having fans coming up to you every 5 minutes looking for an autograph.
Life is tough as a celebrity.
Is Demi Lovato still best friends with Selena Gomez? The answer is a big yes! Demi played some true and false with her fans via Twitter, and her relationship with Selena came up as a question.
A follower asked “Are u and selena still Best friends?!”, Demi answered with an excited “true!”
Demi also tweeted to Selena, “I love you,” after her mother suffered a miscarriage earlier in the month.
It’s certainly nice to see they are still close, although they both have gone through a lot over the past couple of years. Below is andPOP’s video when we met Selena and Demi for the first time.
Mac Miller was recently listed on Forbes “30 Under 30: The Youngest Stars in the Music Business.” Miller explained how he was able to achieve so much success and what it’s like being on the list.
“Making history is super-cool. I still don’t think I necessarily ‘made it’ — my whole thing is always, no matter where I get, to never be satisfied,” Miller told Forbes.
And how did he promote himself, considering he was signed to a small label.
“I flood the internet with what I feel is quality content. I’m just looking for creative ways to get all that content out there. And just being reachable. Not necessarily sitting there and responding every tweet or every fan, but being a symbol of someone who doesn’t think that [he’s] anymore more special than anyone else,” Miller explained.
Speaking of quality content, here’s our interview with Mac which we did earlier in 2011.
Once upon a time, long before the sold out stadiums and screaming fans, little Howie D was a self-proclaimed “Dough Boy.” Apparently, his first love wasn’t music, it was Twinkies (insert sponsor here). In all fairness, Howie went on to much better things, however, for this interview the guys reminisce about some of their more embarrassing moments.
