Despite being 67 years of age, he holds high hopes that he will, once again, take to the screen as the lovable, adventuring archaeologist known as Indiana Jones.

According to MTV, Ford stated that he is keen on making a new addition to the legendary four-part film series.

“I’d love to do it!” he exclaimed. “George Lucas is working on an idea, and if he can come up with something, Stephen Spielberg and I simply have to agree and go ahead with it.”

“If I get the chance to do another one, I’d be happy as pie to do it,” added the screen legend.

The game is simply amazing and unlike anything you have ever seen. This made me think of the common misconception the title often receives, I mean don’t get me wrong, it certainly has some of the best inspirations behind it, however Nathan Drake and his tales are much closer to the movie Romancing the Stone than say, Indiana Jones.
Don’t even get me started on Tomb Raider comparisons, the game just can’t compete. I honestly never think of Tomb Raider whilst playing since it’s a whole different beast.

Anyhow this was fun since I got to sketch Harrison Ford from a reference pic and tried my best with Lara.
Drake was hard to nail down without it looking too cheesy. In the end I opted for a real pic just because I wanted to give that “head and shoulders” above feel. Plus it just made my work easier.
And in all honesty just try and imagine telling Drake himself of that- I think his response would be something similar.
Enjoy!

Gamers can expect action sequences similar to Indy’s pursuit of the motorcade in “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, or the mine-cart scene featured in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”.

Indy’s signature whip will be useful: the Wii remote functions as the iconic weapon. Gamers will experience intense chases and be able to control vehicles, including a biplane in a canyon trench.

When asked about the possibility of another “Indiana Jones” movie, Harrison Ford told MTV News “I don’t know. If we come up with a good idea.”

According to Ford, a new Jones film would depend mainly on writer George Lucas, “With some general input, he goes off and searches for the MacGuffin and then stumbles into a story. And at some point, we have a chance to take a look at it and give some input.”

When asked by MTV News if Lucas has found this “MacGuffin,” Ford says, “No, we’re still in the primary stages.”

And if ever another actor was cast to play the adventurer in future films 50 years from now, Ford would have no problems, “The very simple addition of numbers would make it clear that in 50 years I will not give a sh– at all. I will so not care.”

“The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia’s vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia’s left hand was crushed,” said the actor’s attorney Michael Norris in a statement.

“Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then. His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications.”

A week ago, LeBeouf, 22, suffered the injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle.

“We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident,” the lawyer says.

A Los Angeles County sheriff spokesman said the actor may have not been at fault for the crash.

“We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said. “The case is still under investigation.”

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies came to the scene of the accident involving the two-vehicle collision at around 2:30 a.m. LaBeouf had to undergo surgery for his hand injury while his female passenger and the woman driving the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. Although all three were taken to the hospital, both women were treated and released while LaBeouf remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

LaBeouf was booked on suspicion of DUI but was released from sheriff’s custody to get medical attention.

“I saw people get stabbed across the street in the park on a daily basis,” said LaBeouf, who also admits his father was a drug dealer and addict.

George Lucas, while walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Kung Fu Panda, suggested to reporters about the possibility of a sequel to “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

“I haven’t even told Steven [Spielberg] or Harrison this,” he said. “But I have an idea to make Shia [LaBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.”

As for now, diehard fans can relax. Ford, 65, told reporters on Friday that “till they tell me otherwise, I will continue to be Indiana Jones.”

Posted on andPOP:

SIR SEAN CONNERY has announced he will not be returning for the next film in the INDIANA JONES franchise.

The 76-year-old had been tipped to reprise his role from 1989′s Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade as Harrison Ford’s screen father, but has now confirmed he is sticking to his 2005 resolution to quit acting.

He says, “I thought long and hard about it, and if anything could have pulled me out of retirement it would have been an Indiana Jones film.

“I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honour to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.”

Elsewhere, John Hurt has been added to the cast. It is unclear what character the veteran star will play, but he is joining Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett and Ray Winstone on the movie.

Connery adds, “This is a remarkable cast, and I can only say, ‘Break a leg, everyone.’ I’ll see you at the theatre.”

Posted on andPOP:

Most people are thinking about retirement at the age of 64, but not Harrison Ford. The actor says his age is no impediment when it comes to dodging danger and saving the world as Indiana Jones.

The fourth installment of Indiana Jones films is kicking into high gear and once again, Ford will assume the starring role that had cemented his fame more than 20 years ago in the first Indiana flick, 1981′s “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” He also starred in the sequels “Temple of Doom” (1984) and “The Last Crusade” (1989).

Ford said at the inaugural Rome Film Festival on Friday that he feels “fit to continue” as the fictional archaelogist and adventurer. “Indiana Jones 4″ will be directed by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, who were also behind the earlier blockbuster hits.

“We did three films that stay within the same block of time. We need to move on for artistic reasons and obvious physical reasons,” Ford said. “I feel fit to continue and bring the same physical action.”

Ford added that another aging actor, Sean Connery, who played Jones’ father in “The Last Crusade” may also appear in the new movie.

“He’s part of the emotional fabric of these films. I think there may be an opportunity, I believe that Sean is still willing and I’d be delighted if he joined us,” said Ford.

No other details about the film has been released, but production is said to be moving along quickly.

Lucas is the executive producer of the Indiana Jones films. Connery played the father of Harrison Ford?s character, Indiana Jones, in ?Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? in 1989.

The film has been rumoured to be in the works for years. Ford would also like to see the film made.

“I would love him to be in the next ‘Indiana Jones’… maybe I can push him into it,” said Lucas, who was on hand to honour Connery with the American Film Institute?s Lifetime Achievement Award last week.
