The Hulk has won another battle against his opponent. Except this time, the pro wrestler’s victory took place in court against his estranged wife Linda Bollea.
According to E! News, a Florida judge has ruled that Hulk Hogan does not have to go through with the purchase of a $4.2 million Las Vegas condo, a property he agreed to buy with Bollea back in 2005.
“We are thrilled that the judge did not require us to continue to engage in the folly of purchasing a $4.2 million condo at a time when we should be considering other matters,” Hogan’s attorney, David Houston, told E! News.
“We believe the court injected a dose of reality into a contested litigation and feel that we have started down the road to resolution.”
Bollea’s attorneys have yet to comment on the ruling.
Although Brooke Hogan previously claimed that her father Hulk Hogan abused her mother, the 20-year-old now says that she made false allegations, reports People magazine.
“I did it under significant pressure from my mother,” Hogan tells the entertainment magazine. “It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it.”
Hogan released the apology after a tabloid reported that she had signed a legal affidavit accusing her father of verbally and physically abusing wife Linda during their marriage.
Brooke is now living with her father and is not on speaking terms with her mother.
“I love my mother, and hope to one day reconcile with her,” Brooke says. “But using kids as pawns in a divorce is awful. Every day my mother resorts to this kind of behaviour makes it that much harder for us to ever have a relationship again.”
Linda Hogan fears her soon-to-be ex husband Hulk Hugan will hurt her and “fears for her safety,” reports TMZ.com.
According to the website, Linda Hogan says the former wrestler is stalking her outside of their residences, has a history of violence towards her and “is capable of attacking [her] at any moment.”
Linda filed a motion to keep Hulk away from her and their Florida homes.
Hulk’s attorney, however, did issue this statement: “Linda Bollea’s allegations are pure fantasy, in line with her recent 911 call that has been widely played in the media. Since November, Terry Bollea has been in Los Angeles working. The limited time that he has spent in Florida has been solely to visit his son and daughter. In addition, he has no history of violence.”
While Nick Hogan, son of Hulk, is serving jail time for seriously injuring a man in a car accident, his family is receiving threats from the victim’s family.
Perez Hilton reports that police are investigating the Graziano family, and have listened to the voicemails.
Police would not release the names of the Graziano family members that had left the messages, nor which member of the Hogan family the threats were targeting.
The Hogan’s attorney, Morris Weinberg, stated that the family is taking the threats very seriously.
Meanwhile, Nick Hogan has been releasing statements about how upsetting it is for him to be in jail, and both Hogan parents have taken on much younger lovers. There seems to be no end to their drama.
Not surprisingly, Hulk Hogan’s son is not happy with the conditions at the Pinellas County Jail.
According to gossip website PerezHilton.com, a motion filed by Nick Hogan’s attorney to have him placed under house arrest until he is 18-years-old has been denied by a judge.
Young Hogan is being held in solitary confinement because he is not old enough to be part of the general population and, according to reports, the teen has lost at least 10 pounds and has no access to a telephone or TV.
The 17-year-old was sentenced May 9 to eight months in jail after pleading no contest to one count of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.
Nick Hogan, we (don’t) pity you.
Linda Hogan filed for divorce and failed to tell her husband.
The St. Petersburg Times reported that Hulk Hogan had no idea his wife had filed for divorce until a reporter informed him that Pinellas County court records showed the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.
“Thank you for the great information,” the wrestler told the reporter, PEOPLE reports. He then reportedly called back five minutes later to say, “I’m kind of shocked. You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. … Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. … I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here.”
The couple’s 24-year marriage has been documented in the VH1 reality-TV series “Hogan Knows Best,” also starring their two children, Brooke and Nick. Recent episodes show the couple attending marital counseling.
The Hogan family has made headlines recently as the couple’s son, Nick, faces a felony charge for driving recklessly in August when his car went out of control and slammed into a tree. His license has since been suspended.
Wrestler-turned-reality TV star HULK HOGAN’s Miami Beach, Florida home has been burgled.
Thieves reportedly stole $100,000 (£50,000) worth of jewellery after breaking into the star’s family home on Thursday night (16Aug07).
