Remember that self-pity rap we posted earlier in the month by Chris Brown? Well the song finally got a video, but we’re having a hard time feeling bad for him when he’s flying around on an incredibly swanky private plane. Chris reflectively stares out the window in his Olympic cap, clearly taking a break from the work he has on his Mac.
In fact, Chris probably maximized his time by filming the video while on his way to his next concert. Way to kill two birds with one stone there buddy.
I appreciate the fact that the video is pretty simple and he’s letting the lyrics speak, but you’d think he’d put a little more thought into connecting the video with the song. Considering it’s seemingly an explanation for his behaviour.

Chris Brown’s new introspective song “How I Feel” touches on everything from his relationship with Rihanna to his parents’ abusive relationship.
The rapper seems to touch on his abusive relationship with Rihanna when he raps: “Nineteen, a ni–a went through a tragedy, Three years, a ni–a just found a better me, Yeah, you might find another lover, but you always started with Breezy like the letter B.” Brown was sentenced to 180 days of community labour in 2009 for the felony assault involving Rihanna.
The song is more personal than a lot of his pumped up dance tracks. The media has ragged on him a lot lately (righteously so) but perhaps he needed to spout off his story in his own words.
The Fame singer also goes into his childhood in Virginia and his parents’ abusive relationship when he talks about sleeping in his bedroom and worrying that his mom isn’t going to make it through the night.
Maybe he feels like this is the only way people will listen to him. How do YOU feel about the song?
