Posted on andPOP:

One of The Simpsons most memorable episodes was the one where Homer becomes a 3D character. Can you believe it’s been over a decade since the episode aired?

Tim Johnson can’t. And he’s the man responsible for animating the 3D version of America’s most famous dad.

Johnson believes it’s about time 3D Homer resurfaces.

“We talked about getting Homer and the rest of the family back in 3D,” Johnson told andPOP. (Johnson directs Over the Hedge, in theatres today.)

“It’s been 10 years since we did that and I think it’s time to update it. I’ll have to give those guys a call.”
