Although Brooke Hogan previously claimed that her father Hulk Hogan abused her mother, the 20-year-old now says that she made false allegations, reports People magazine.
“I did it under significant pressure from my mother,” Hogan tells the entertainment magazine. “It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it.”
Hogan released the apology after a tabloid reported that she had signed a legal affidavit accusing her father of verbally and physically abusing wife Linda during their marriage.
Brooke is now living with her father and is not on speaking terms with her mother.
“I love my mother, and hope to one day reconcile with her,” Brooke says. “But using kids as pawns in a divorce is awful. Every day my mother resorts to this kind of behaviour makes it that much harder for us to ever have a relationship again.”
Wrestler HULK HOGAN’s teenage son NICK was racing another car moments before he lost control of his own vehicle and crashed into a tree, according to a witness.
Frances Vitalis, who was riding a motorcycle with a friend behind the two cars, claims the drivers were revving their engines and racing between each set of traffic lights on the road in Clearwater, Florida on Sunday (26Aug07) night.
Vitalis says, “We knew something was going to happen. You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging.”
According to website TMZ.com, police officers have interviewed the driver of a silver Dodge Viper that may have been involved in the accident.
Local law enforcement officials have so far only confirmed Hogan’s son Nick Bollea was driving a Toyota Supra at high speed when he lost control and struck a palm tree.
Bollea and his friend John Graziano were flown by Medivac helicopters to a hospital in St Petersburg. Bollea has since been discharged after being treated for minor injuries, but Graziano remains in a critical condition.
Bollea has been caught speeding three times in the 12 months before Sunday’s accident.

HULK HOGAN has suggested the murdered wife of late wrestling star CHRIS BENOIT had an obsession with “devil-worship” that led to marital difficulties.
Benoit asphyxiated his wife Nancy and son Daniel, before hanging himself at their Atlanta, Georgia home late last month.
Legendary wrestler Hogan is struggling to come to terms with the tragedy, but believes it arose from a domestic issue.
He tells website UsMagazine.com, “He (Benoit) was peaceful and kept to himself.
“I think it had to be something personal, a domestic problem between him and his wife.
“She was into devil-worship stuff. It was part of her (wrestling) character, but (she was) somebody who gets so close to their character, someone who gets into their character too much.
“Sometimes these people believe their own publicity.”
