Being single on Valentine’s Day is what you make of it: utterly depressing as you watch romcom after romcom or just another day minus the flowers and chocolate.
Just in case you see the day as the former, take solace in the fact that these good-looking celebrities are also single on Valentine’s Day. I mean, if they can’t get a date, what hope do we really have?

Most of us know what it means to “ship” two people. It means you want two people to get together or stay together, whether said couple is in a show, book, movie, or real life. Popular ships on TV include Delena (Damon and Elena from Vampire Diaries), Klaine (Kurt and Blaine from Glee), and Ezria (Ezra and Aria on Pretty Little Liars). Real life people who also have been labelled with a “ship name” include “Monchele” (Cory Monteith and Lea Michele), ” Nian” (Nina Dobrev and Ian Somelhalder),” Brangelina” (no explanation neccesary) and even “Larry Stylinson.” Yes. Thats Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
We want to take a second to make it very clear that people who are “shipped” are not ALWAYS an item, it simply means people like the idea of the two together. It’s also common for two people who aren’t together – i.e. Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, to be “shipped.” It’s all in good fun and we get some hilarious and entertaining gifs and photoshopped (or as shippers call the photos, “manips”). Sometimes fans draw pictures of the real life subjects. I only wish I had that kind of time on my hands.

One Direction’s resident ladies’ man, Harry Styles, celebrated his 19th birthday on February 1st. The boy band member marked the momentous occasion with a night of drunken debauchery like any young man would (especially one whose pockets are oozing of cash).
According to the Huffington Post, Styles had two parties: one large affair on Thursday night and a smaller one on Friday.
The Friday night affair appears to have been the more rambunctious of the two as he and 39 of his closest pals (including bandmate Niall Horan) racked up a nearly £2000 (approximately $3143.80 USD) tab at the first bar they went visited. Their tab unbelievably included 99 frozen margaritas.
Styles received a birthday the surprise from his pals later that night at a different bar. According to the British tabloid rag The Mirror, Styles was presented with a 10-minute lap dance from a stripper dressed as a police officer. He politely tried to avert his eyes during the whole affair as she danced down to her skivvies.
““Harry was very embarrassed,” said the Mirror’s source. “He was really surprised when she turned up. When she pulled him into her chest he was bright red. But he chatted to her as she sat with him for a while afterwards.”
After the dance, Styles was nice enough to pose for pictures with the young lady. He also received a birthday cake which was quickly destroyed as the party ate the confection with their hands and throwing it each other.
While that sounds like a lot of fun, my only question is: where is Miley Cyrus? It sounds like her kind of shindig and she probably would’ve been the best wing-woman Styles could ever have.

The Overly Attached Girlfriend, aka Laina, dedicated a self-written song to Taylor Swift, which is to the backbeat of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.”
As we all know, Taylor and 1D’s Harry Styles (Haylor) split up last week (sad face). Considering how many relationships Taylor has ended in her short lifetime you gotta wonder, is SHE the problem?
Laina sings: “Taylor you’re a cool girl don’t get me wrong/ I know you put your whole heart into every song/ But how many pictures will burn till you finally learn/ Taylor Swift, maybe you’re delusional/ If you break up and you hit rock bottom/ Maybe the faults are yours and song won’t solve them.”
I know Laina is a pretty cray fangirl and all (or so she’d like us to believe) but she makes sense… Do you agree with her?

It has only been a couple days since Haylor reportedly broke up, but one singer has already made light of the split with a new “unreleased breakup song” called “I’m Alright.” Of course, it’s not actually Taylor Swift but it sure sounds like her. In the song she sings about calling it quites with Harry Styles:
“Those green eyes/ And that contagious smile/ and those lips and the way they verbalize/ You looked at me and smiled/ Everything was perfect/ Everything was great/ I was on a fairytale/ It’s a dream while I’m awake.”

HIT: Ryan Lochte gets his own reality show
In an attempt to ensure he stays relevant between now and the next summer Olympics, swimmer Ryan Lochte has inked a reality show deal with E!. The news hardly comes as a surprise as the American swimmer has been pretty vocal about getting into showbiz post-swimming career, even landing guest roles on 90210 and 30 Rock. Expect to hear more head scratching quotes, blank stares and yells of “Jeah!” coming from your TV when Lochte’s show airs in April.

Soon after a photo of Justin Bieber smoking what many assume to be weed surfaced, #cutforbieber began trending on Twitter “in support” of the Biebs. I hope it’s just a terrible, tasteless 4Chan joke because self-harming is a very serious issue and shouldn’t be taken lightly. If you do know of anyone who feels as if they are stuck in this kind of situation, please urge them to talk to someone. There are many resources (like this one) that are readily available and willing to listen.
HIT: Taylor Swift and Harry Styles broke up
I hate to say it but I told you so. While the relationship was as brief as ever, their break-up (which happened while the two were on a holiday in the Carribean) is telling of how Taylor and Harry deal with “grief” respectively. It looks as if Taylor must leave the situation immediately so she can probably to write a song about it, while Harry continues to party on presumably to forget his worries (with billionaire Richard Branson, no less). Shall we begin to count the ways TSwift can not-so-subtly refer to Harry in her next song, dear Internet? Let’s start by finding words that rhyme with “One Direction” and “new year’s kiss.” That seems like a good jumping point.

In non-news, “Haylor,” known formerly as Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, rang in the New Year with a glorious kiss in New York’s Time Square on Monday. Then I’m pretty sure (though it’s unconfirmed) that she morphed into a winged unicorn and floated into the sky since she’s clearly not living a human life. At the very least, some movie studio has been pranking us all these years by filming her life for an upcoming chick flick about a “regular country girl” who moves to Hollywood, becomes an amazing role model and starts dating a curly-haired dreamboat.
Swift performed “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” at ”Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” Her kiss inspired supportive fans to get the hashtag #WeRespectHaylor trending on Twitter.
To be honest, I’m still not fully convinced the relationship is serious because I’m used to celeb couples (Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth and Jelena in the early days) shying away from the media instead of leading a parade down Central Park.
Meanwhile, the guys from One Direction took time from their busy schedules to wish Directioners a happy New Year, however, the comment ruling all others right now is wishful thinking: “They exchanged a look and suddenly one of them shied away and the other’s sullen face showed a hint of amusement. You know who I’m talking about! 
”
The best part of any One Direction video is the subtle deconstruction of every word, look and expression the guys give from commenters — even if the video is only 11 seconds. In this case, ”they” means Harry and Louis… aren’t we over the whole Larry Stylinson thing people? They’ve both got special ladies of their own now.

Directioners, the worst kept secret has been revealed. Harry Styles has partially confirmed that he is in a relationship with Taylor Swift.
While attending the red carpet before their performance on the X Factor season finale, a reporter took the risk in asking Styles flat out about what’s going on between him and Swift.
But come on. It’s not like we didn’t know this already. With photographic evidence of the two holding hands and taking romantic strolls in the park, it would be kind of silly to think there isn’t anything going on between the two.
Though if you’re still upset about this, at least sweet, adorable Niall is still single.

Once upon a time, there was this really beautiful man named Elvis who made his fans LITERALLY swoon when he performed. You might have heard of him. If not, that’s okay, because the modern-day swooners of our time have taken inspiration from Elvis’ “Jail House Rock” for their upcoming music video. Of course, I’m talking about One Direction.
The boy band has been teasing their fans for the past few days with snippets of their latest single “Kiss You.” Based on the footage from the Bring Me to 1D contest, the guys are seen doing strange things on a motorcycle, prancing around in a jail, and dancing on surf boards. This all makes sense.
In the meantime, whilst we wait anxiously for the full video to come out, the guys have blessed us with a convenient lyric video for the song. And I will be conveniently humming this to myself for the rest of my life in a non-apologetic manner.

The fun never ends for Haylor. Harry Styles has added yet another tattoo to his body, but this one has just a slightly different significance. His belle, Taylor Swift was in the vicinity what the ink graced his ever-muscular frame.
After getting a (slightly random) tattoo of a pirate ship on his arm, tattoo artist Freddy Negrete posted a photo of the tat on Instagram. Something tells me he’s going to get a whole new clientele of One Direction fans asking for “I <3 Zayn” tattoos. That, or pirate ships.
The Internet is obviously going to have lots to say about this, especially in light of Taylor Swift’s recent video release of “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Is it just me, or is it ironic that the singer is seen sitting by her beau’s side as he gets a tattoo? Maybe this is foreshadowing, maybe not. I personally believe that this is just another cute outing between the two. Let’s brace ourselves for the never ending blossoming of Haylor.

For singers who are so accustomed to performing live on stage, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles are pretty terrible at karaoke.
Singing (or shall I say butchering?) a rendition of Elton John and Kiki Dee’s ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ during an aftershow party, the lads’ voices were painfully high-pitched as the rest of One Direction and Taylor Swift danced really badly in the background.
But hey, if the singing thing doesn’t work out in the future (though I highly doubt that), perhaps these two can consider being a comedic duo? I really love their bromance.

HIT: Spice Girls Musical Opens in London
Viva Forever!, the musical based on the Spice Girls’ greatest hits, opened in London on Tuesday night. I personally loved every little campy bit of 1998’s Spice World even though it was a bomb with critics. With that being said, I can’t help but still have high hopes for the musical even though it a) hasn’t been getting the greatest reviews and b) doesn’t star Sporty, Posh, Scary, Ginger and Baby. “Viva forever…”
MISS: Justin Bieber Murder Plot Included Castration
According to multiple reports, two men were arrested on the suspicion of plotting to murder Justin Bieber. The two men were allegedly hired by a convicted murderer and rapist, 45-year-old Dean Martin, who wanted Bieber and his bodyguard strangled with a paisley tie and castrated. Martin is apparently incredibly infatuated with the pop star that he has a tattoo on his leg and has tried to contact him several times. After failing to hear back, Martin hired the two men but revealed the plot to the police before anything bad could happen. Talk about crazy! Probably not a bad idea to hire more bodyguards, right Biebs?

Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence tops this year’s AskMen.com’s “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” list, and while I hate that this list is on a website called Ask Men, I have to agree with them. Some Directioners are so deeply connected with their favourite member of the band that they tweet their personal phone numbers to Harry, Zayn, Niall — whoever — on the off chance one of the guys will ring them up for kicks.
Jon, from the YouTube channel SimplySpoons, decided to take advantage of this and prank call a couple fans by impersonating curly haired Harry Styles. Though his accent isn’t steller, it doesn’t really matter because you can hardly hear him over ALL THE SCREAMING.
After introducing himself, he talked to the fans about everything from going solo (he’s feeling disconnected from the other guys), cold remedies and Louis cutting down some trees.

Some One Direction fans dealt with their conflicting emotions over Taylor Swift dating Harry Styles by writing song lyrics and singing about it. While many fans are prematurely supporting the blossoming romance (which might be nothing more than a friendship), others are already shipping “Haylor.”
It’s ironic that fans would deal with their grief through song, considering that’s how Taylor sorts through her emotions too. One of those heartbroken Directioners, named ashcollete, uploaded a hilarious parody of “Trouble” called “The Haylor Song.”

Taylor Swift went on the most adorable date with One Direction barely a week into her rumoured relationship with Harry Styles. They all went to New York’s Hudson Hotel after 1D’s show at Madison Square Garden for KARAOKE!!
You’d think after singing all day they’d be sick of it by the evening (or at least want to preserve their voices) but we’re not complaining… We ARE, however, a little envious at the lucky crowd that got to witness the budding love of youth and get a free show from the singers. (I can’t imagine singing in front of them if I was there though!)
