Star Trek alumni George Takei seems like such a sweet soul. His deep, sultry voice was pretty much made to do something for the greater good of society. I was thinking more along the lines of a CD that you listen to as you slip into a deep slumber. But recording a narrative for the erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey? That’s a different idea.
According to “Fifty Shades of Takei,” the actor was convinced by a friend (and many fans) to read the rather sensual novel out loud. What ensued was of epic proportions. Oh myyyy!
Freaky the Scary Snowman, also referred to as “Frosty’s evil twin,” is really a man dressed up as as angry snowman with a vengeance. It’s also really just a genius prank to instill some unsuspecting fright during the warm, holiday season.
In one of Freaky’s latest adventures, the snowman stands outside of what appears to be a cafe. As people walk on by, they literally scream in terror when the snowman suddenly shifts his billowy body in their direction. But the best reaction, hands down, is from the woman who flips Freaky the bird. That poor, poor snowman.
Like Christmas, we can all expect something every year — Jimmy Kimmel’s annual Naughty or Nice interrogation. In the segment, Kimmel and his cousin Sal sit down with a few children and ask them if they’ve been naughty or nice. Apparently he does this to help out Santa Claus, who is obviously too busy to interview every child about their behaviour. How thoughtful of him.
This year, Kimmel interviewed bffs Sophie and Zoey about their shenanigans this year. Of course, the girls were both well-behaved this year. With the exception of asparagus-smelling pee. The interview got to that weird place.

Tommy Woolridge has never been on a real date so he decided to go on some spontaneous blind dates without inviting any girls in advance. Naturally, the awkwardness we’ve come to know and love in the YouTube star seeps out, as he approaches random girls reading in parks and presents them with a single red rose.
The girls don’t realize it’s a prank and think the whole thing is either a mixup or that the dude is a major CREEP. Either way, most of them are pretty embarrassed for him. Previously, Woolridge attempted to use Taylor Swift and Blink 182 lyrics as pick-up lines.
So far, he hasn’t met his soulmate through his YouTube pranks, but he might want to consider one of his top commenters as a suitor:
How would you react if some random dude approached you and said you had a blind date?

Youtuber PeterLaComb has shown us the epic failures of soda machines. All he wanted was one soda — but instead he got 5. This might seem like a blessing in disguise, but this epic failure might only lead to a massive stomach ache. By the sounds of the video, it seems like he has a lot of friends. Perhaps he will share these unsuspected sodas with his pals.
Youtuber Mia Gentile is obviously a huge fan of Stanley Steemer the carpet cleaner. So much in fact, that she made a music video (in what appears to be her bedroom) to reflect that infatuation. Gentile is seen hanging from her bed post, opera singing, and doo-wopping to declare her love for the company. Or maybe it’s just for her love of their diverse commercials.
Stanley Steemer is a carpet cleaning company that is clearly dedicated to the art of commercial making. It’s obvious what Gentile was trying to do with her mash-up: clearly the company loves making strange and really diverse commercials, similar to the various music styles that Gentile sang in.
But the best one of all is hands down their rock-n-roll themed beauty:
These cheeky pranksters went to Brigham Young University with a little mistletoe experiment. They set up a fake survey asking mundane questions about students’ eggnog-drinking and tree-decorating habits around Christmas. Then they asked the students if they follow the tradition where you kiss someone under a sprig of mistletoe. Anyone who said yes or sometimes was put to the test immediately, when an accomplice lowered some mistletoe over the prankster and the student.
The results are hilarious. While most of the students laughed about it or were game, there were a couple who were genuinely offended — including one girl who slapped the prankster as hard as she could. Ouch! The video was uploaded on Stuart Edge‘s YouTube channel
Would you kiss a stranger under mistletoe?

In an age of strange and beautiful technology, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is now able to interview animated characters. This week, he sat down with the crude teddy bear named Ted, from the film of the same name. The two chatted about a sequel to the film, which Ted jokingly commented will be exactly the same but in Thailand. Kind of a low blow to The Hangover Part II.
Although the interview is really cute and hilarious, it has the Internet questioning how the interview actually took place. Some people really believe that Ted was actually there in the flesh. Others want to know what the heck the audience was looking at — Kimmel having a one-way conversation with an invisible teddy bear? I guess we’ll never know.

I thought babies loved food. Nope, apparently sleep conquers everything. In this cute video called “Babies Trying to Stay Awake Compilation,” a group of little ones fail to keep their eyes open. Even with the enticing amounts of food in front of them (and sometimes in their mouths), they just can’t seem to stay in the game.
What I want to know is — why are they randomly falling asleep during their daily deeds? Perhaps these babies are having raging parties in their cribs at night. Probably not, but it does make you wonder. And now I shall ponder my own childhood and whether or not I too ignored my food for the temptress of slumber.

If you’re still scrounging for some last minute holiday ideas, why not pick up the phone and buy a convenient product from late night TV? To make it easier for you, Jimmy Kimmel curated the best of the best products from various informercials. Included is a fake singing parakeet, an inflatable neck brace and a condiment shaker.
Don’t worry, if your boyfriend isn’t into the ear wax vacuum you bought him (hint hint) then there’s a good chance they’ll send you your money back.
My favourite?
These phone headphones are strong enough to hold a five pound laptop. Because, why wouldn’t you?

I feel like Tard the Grumpy Cat is never going to leave the internet or our hearts. I’m not complaining. The cat, who has become an internet sensation, is unintentionally the cutest animal to ever grace our unworthy eyes. However, Grumpy Cat has turned out to be a favourite amongst meme makers. Here’s a look at the best of the best memes that truly capture the essence of Grumpy Cat’s cold (yet beautiful) gaze.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has just been released from the hospital after suffering from a very serious illness called “hyperemesis gravidarum.” With Middleton’s return home, the royal couple has lots to celebrate about, including their obviously amazing news that they will be having a baby. But there are a few trolls out there who are making the experience a bit hard to swallow. Cue creepy Kate-William mash-up photos that are crawling the internet. Oh and not to mention the inevitable, satirical Twitter account “Royal Fetus.“And to top it all off, The Poke made this extensive program called Royal Baby Maker that allows readers to morph the faces of William and Kate.
I think the Internet just needs to calm down and wait for the actual day when this royal baby arrives — because with the charm and kindness of its parents, it’s bound to be a beautiful baby. In the meantime, let’s look at the potential morphlings made by people of the internet.
Here are 5 creepy photos of a potential royal baby:

Is it just me, or is it becoming increasingly impossible to keep waiting for “The Hobbit” to hit theatres? Cue overly dramatic, inner nerdling reaction here:
The amazing people of the internet are not making this process easy either. Just a few days ago, I came across this glorious Hobbit-Goonies mash-up made by YouTuber Lance Ford. Today, the Internet has presented us with “Unlikely Quotes From The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey Official Parody 2012.” That was a mouthful. But it’s worth every second.
In the video, made by Octavarius Comedy, Gandalf, Thorin, and Bilbo Baggins go on an unexpected journey to what appears to be a city. Misery ensues — but along the way, the characters basically namedrop a bunch of famous movie quotes and characters that would never, ever be mentioned in the real film. Not even you, Lord Voldy. The characters also use some pretty explicit language that I think would only send fans into fits of laughter if they were included in the actual film. The parody is just making it that much harder to wait for the film to come out. But I’m glad the wonderful people of the internet are doing what they do best.

Look at that face. How can you get angry at a face like that? You can’t. Sometimes children, no matter how naughty they are, are just so adorable that we can’t help but laugh at their cute ways. This is usually done by parents from behind a video camera, which will later end up a family video for all of the interwebz to see.
BuzzFeedVideo proves that parenting cute kids is literally impossible. In “Why Parenting Children is Impossible,” kids defeat parents with their adorable chubby cheeks, unreasonable demands, and cute sayings that come from the depths of their imaginations. Basically, it’s impossible to get mad at a human being when all they want to do is innocently devour donuts. Without getting caught, of course.

The best Christmas gift ever has come early this year — a Grease reunion. Kind of. Our favourite fictional couple Sandy and Danny, aka Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, has teamed up this year to make a Christmas album. As if they didn’t supply us with enough hits to sing along to, they decide to make our hearts swoon for the millionth time.
There’s just one problem — the album is a product of cheese. Lots of it. I was rejoicing at the thought of ONJ and Travolta teaming up again after all these years, until I saw their music video for a song called “I Think You Might Like It.” While I think the video is actually really adorable, the interwebz has already started to make fun of these poor souls. A part of me wants to hug the duo for their cute video. The other part just wants to scroll through gifs of it.
Here are 5 really cheesy scenes from “I Think You Might Like It:”
1. Run, Johnny, run!
When John Travolta ran his glorious self down the airplane steps, I nearly peed. Seriously. His arms look so little and excited as he waddles down the steps to see his soul mate bff, Olivia Newton John. What I want to know is if Travolta runs like this every time he steps off a plane. If so, I am so there.
2. Awwwwkward.
I don’t get it. I really don’t. This could possibly be a reference to the duo’s epic finale in Grease, but all I see is some major cowboy swagger. It doesn’t help the ONJ is wearing heels that look exactly like cowgirl boots.
3. Fake laugh.
“What am I doing with my life? Hahaha…ha.”
4. Run to me, Olivia!
We were flipping out when we heard that Eminem was featured on Skylar Grey’s new track, “C’Mon Let Me Ride.” But now that they’ve release a trailer for the video, our fangirling is going to a whole new level. Eminem and Skylar are true cuties in the trailer for the video, which according to Skylar Grey is filmed “in some strange little village in Michigan.” The little village turns out to be a place full of trailers.
“Why does everyone think I’m from a f*ckin’ trailer park?” Eminem inquires with a smirk on his face. The teaser also follows a woman who explains that literally her entire family lives within the same radius as her. She’s quite the cutie, so I hope she is also in the video alongside Em and Skylar. I don’t know what the video is about yet, but it will obviously feature these friendly faces.
The video comes out on Dec. 11.
Like every year that passes us, we saw some pretty strange products come out in 2012. Humans are all about invention and innovation — but sometimes our minds make up the weirdest things ever. And even more unfortunate is that those weird things end up beneath the Christmas tree only to send our relatives into shock and horror. While we might think these products are secretly awesome and bad ass, it might not be a great idea to give your sweet grandpa a chest-exposing tie. You read that right.
Here are the 10 worst Christmas gifts to give this year:
1. Underwear to go.
2. Jean-sandal hybrid
3. A hairy-chest tie
4. The “I don’t really like your singing” karaoke mic
5. The “Hug-Me” jacket
Imagine having an innocent conversation with your friends on campus — when suddenly, a wild “gator” emerges. Not a real gator, but some dude who has perfected the art of something called the Stare of the Gator. Aka the creepiest act of stalker-like behaviour I’ve seen. If I saw this guy creeping on my friends and I on campus, I’d react a little something like this:
However, in the video uploaded by Pearce Murphy, the victims of the gator stare seem to be rather calm. And rather disturbed by the random act of creepy levels. Rather hilariously, the video is set to the romantic moods of One Republic’s “Stop and Stare.” Cue the irony alert.
It’s clear that the young man in the video is innocently trying to troll his fellow classmates. But I fear for the day when someone tries to fight his stalking-ways.

Breast implants will give you perfectly perky large boobs, but they can also save your life. A Canadian woman was shot my her ex-boyfriend and thinks she’s alive today because she had implants. The bullet went straight through both her breasts, ruining her implants in the process. Convinced her implants saved her, she underwent surgery again for a new pair. Am I the only one who sees a flaw in this? If a bullet only went through your breasts, and you had implants, what would’ve happened if you didn’t have implants? I’m going to assume the bullet would’ve went right past you. Therefore, if you didn’t have fake boobs, you wouldn’t have had any injuries. You’re welcome.
Vampire on the loose
I guess some people in the world really believe those Twilight movies are real. They’re not real people!! In Serbia, some people literally believe vampires are among them. A home that a well-known vampire lives in recently collapsed, sending the town into a frenzy. They think he’s roaming the hills looking for a new home. People are so scared, they have armed their doors with crosses and garlic. I know what you’re thinking, that I’m lying. I wish I was. Watch the CNN report below.
