New music available for Guitar Hero in April

Guitar HeroSongs by five bands will be released for download in April for Guitar Hero World Tour. Guitar Hero World Tour combines advanced wireless controllers, online and offline gameplay modes. The guitar and drum controllers and wired microphones have been redesigned.

‘Guitar Hero World Tour’ Set List Unveiled

The full song list for Activision’s “Guitar Hero World Tour” has been revealed.

The video game, due out Oct. 26, features 86 master recordings spanning 40 years of rock music history.

The on-disc set list ranges from such classic acts as Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Doors to ’80s icons Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi, leading up to more contemporary artists including Muse, Interpol, Coldplay, The Mars Volta and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Artists to have multiple tracks featured include Tool, Jimi Hendrix and Ozzy Osbourne.

Activision has also announced downloadable content that’s on the way, including the new Metallica album “Death Magnetic” and track packs from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M. and Hendrix.

“World Tour” will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Wii.
