While most people are spending their day hunched over in a classroom or cubicle, lucky Nicki Minaj gets to roll around on the beach in Hawaii to shoot her new video for Starships. This dedicated girl will probably have sand in a lot of uncomfortable places. For some reason I always pictured the setting of this song as some extraterrestrial universe with flying “starships” but I guess the beach is fitting considering the first line: ”Let’s go to the beach, each / Let’s go get a wave / They say, what they gonna say? / Have a drink, clink, found the bud light.”

I guess I have to mention the green mermaid hair that so suitably matches her pink suit, but really, she has a new hair colour every time I see her it’s not a surprise.
