Joel Madden Writing Memoir

Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, 30, has announced he’s working on a memoir, reports Perez Hilton.

“It would be about, mostly, the big changes in my life: kids, relationships, moving to L.A., the big life changes that I’ve gone through,” he said. “I’m lightly working on one, but I don’t want to put a book out there if it’s not actually meaningful. I’m not going to go there unless I can deliver. If I put a book out, I want it to be something that matters to me. It has to be real, you can’t just put a book out, to put a book out.”

Madden,30, and girlfriend Nicole Richie, 27, are expecting their second child at the end of the summer. They already have a daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born Jan. 11, 2008.

andPOP Interviews Good Charlotte

Over one year after Good Charlotte released their latest album, “Morning Revival,” the boys are still going strong, touring across North American all summer long.

andPOP caught up with Joel Madden and the boys to talk about how the band might change with children entering the mix, plans for their next album and more.

Pregnant Nicole Richie: ‘I Wasn’t Smoking’

Nicole Richie has denied reports by Page Six that she was smoking this weekend in New York.

The pregnant Richie apparently wasn’t even in the States at the time of the two reported incidents. She is traveling abroad with boyfriend Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. Her rep told “Extra” that the reports were “irresponsible and untrue.”

Meanwhile, Richie and Madden have delayed their wedding plans.

Good Charlotte Preps Release of New Album, Goes On Tour

Punk rockers Good Charlotte have completed recording their follow-up to 2004’s “The Chronicles of Life and Death.” Their fourth record, “Good Morning Revival” is due out this February through Epic Records.

Fans will be able to hear the new music before the record release though, when the Good Charlotte boys hit the road for a 21-date tour kicking off Sept. 21 in San Francisco.

The band plans on test driving the new songs in concert while also playing some “old songs from the first record, songs we normally wouldn’t play,” frontman Joel Madden told Billboard.com.

He added that the tour was “a surprise little thing, just for the fans so they could come see us play before we put out the record and the real promotion starts. We feel really fortunate we have the time to do it, and we’re excited about.”

Good Charlotte will also release a new track, “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl,” along with several remixed versions, on the Internet to stir up further attention.

A more extensive tour is also being planned for early next year in support of “Good Morning Revival.”

Good Charlotte to Tour U.S.

Good Charlotte is ready to hit the road to promote their untitled fourth album.

“We’re really excited to announce that we’ll be back on the road this September! We wanted to get back to you and play some of our favorite clubs that we use to play when we first started out so these shows will be really up close and personal. We’re bringing out this amazing new band The Pink Spiders. There will also be another band coming with us, which we’ll announce later this week. See you at the show,” the band wrote on their web site.

Good Charlotte will be accompanied by The Pink Spiders, according to MTV.

Good Charlotte worked with producer Don Gilmore on their untitled fourth album, which will be released in 2007. Some songs on the album include “Victims of Love” and “Misery”.

The tour will kick off September 27 until October 22.
