‘Girls Gone Wild’ Joe Francis Engaged to L.A. Reporter Christina McLarty

You wouldn’t think Joe Francis is the type of guy for marriage, but he is out to prove that’s not the case. Francis has proposed to a beautiful L.A. reporter named Christina McLarty, whom he has been dating for four years.

Francis told Page Six that he popped the question while vacationing with McLarty in St. Tropez. However this will not be a mainstream marriage.

“We have chosen to have a civil domestic partnership because we don’t believe it’s appropriate to be married until our gay and lesbian friends are afforded the same rights as us to legally marry in the United States,” he said.

The ceremony will have 200 guests at Francis’ beachfront estate in Punta Mita, Mexico.

“The weekend will be fun, luxurious and filled with lots of surprises,” he said, revealing that music producer Quincy Jones has agreed to be his best man.

Let’s hope Christina can help get Joe’s life back on track. Let’s not forget he spent 2008 in a Florida prison on a variety of charges, along with allegedly owing casino owner Steve Wynn millions of dollars.

Joe Francis, founder of Mantra Films Inc., which produces Girls Gone Wild, shouted a gay slur at a doorman after he was denied entry into a night club, reports TMZ.

This comes less than a week after Francis was seen marching in the Equality March in Washington, DC.

Girls Gone Wild Boss Faces Jail

The man behind the GIRLS GONE WILD video and DVD empire faces jail in Panama City after failing to appear in court for a mediation hearing.

A federal judge has ordered JOE FRANCIS to surrender to authorities so he can begin serving jail time for contempt of court.

US District Judge RICHARD SMOAK insists Francis should be jailed until he agrees to participate in mediation talks aimed at ending a four-year-old legal battle between the media mogul and seven underage women, who sued the Girls Gone Wild boss after he filmed them in sexual situations.

Negotiations were set to begin last month but Francis stormed out of proceedings after verbally attacking lawyers. The media mogul then made a settlement offer for the plaintiffs to consider.

But Francis failed to appear at an emergency hearing on Wednesday, prompting Judge Smoak to raise the amount of money the Girls Gone Wild boss has to pay the plaintiffs’ lawyers.

Girls Gone Wild Creator Plans Topless Restaurants

GIRLS GONE WILD creator JOE FRANCIS is turning his soft porn DVD empire into a new restaurant business.

Francis, a former boyfriend of PARIS HILTON, plans to open diners in Cancun and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico by the end of 2007.

The “sex sells” entrepreneur insists the GGW dining experience will be fun and sexy.

He tells the Los Angeles Business Journal, “You’ll be comfortable going in there, but you’re gonna get a Girls Gone Wild experience.”

And Francis has big plans to take the new venture international.

He adds, “In some countries, we’ll do topless optional at night.”
