My Chemical Romance Singer Comic Book Coming To Theatres
Although Gerard Way is probably best known as the frontmanĀ of My Chemical Romance, fans may also know the singer as the creator of the Dark Horse comic “The Umbrella Academy.” Now, Way’s story is making the leap to the big screen.
Universal Pictures is adapting the comic into a feature film, with “Constantine” scribe Mark Bomback tapped to pen the screenplay, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Besides the 2005 DC Comics adaptation starring Keanu Reeves, Bomback’s writing credits include “Live Free or Die Hard” and the recently-released “Race to Witch Mountain.”
