George Michael took to Twitter to announce that he has decided to write a royal tune for the upcoming nuptials of Prince William to Kate Middleton. And who better to ask for help than his fellow tweeters?

“I have been thinking about Will and Kate…. and I’m so happy for William… the whole country is getting ready to party! Let’s have our own celebration twitter style…..

“Instead of Song of the Day, let’s pick a song I can give to you on here sometime this week. I’ll grab my piano player and bob’s your uncle… Wedding gift and bank holiday thank u to my twitter lovelies rolled into one.

“I’ll do the vocals at home… Come on boyz n girls…what song should it be? Oh and it can’t be one of mine, they are all a bit too sad….no sniggering and agreeing, you at the back!”

It will be interesting to see how this song is going to turn out, but we have faith f-faith f-faith that it will be amazing!
After expressing a while later that he had come up with a “beautiful song,” Michael kept tweeting with updates on the song’s progress, and even announced that he had gotten a royal thumbs up for it!

“As it turns out, while I was singing I got a text saying they liked the song…..which is the only green light I cared about! Hooray!!” (He later clarified, “No no, I didn’t get a ROYAL text, I just had a good friend run my choice of song by them. No point in making it if they won’t enjoy it….:).”)

According to Michael, the song will be ready for the world to hear by Friday, tweeting Wednesday morning,“I’m up early because I only have one more day to finish the track if I’m going to give you all the song by Friday!”

George Michael has been sentenced to eight weeks in jail for driving under the influence of drugs on July 4, reports TMZ. He was sentenced in a London courtroom.

The singer admitted to being high on weed and crashing his Range Rover into a photo shop.

TMZ reports the singer looked very dapper heading into the courtroom. There is no word when Michael begins his sentencing.

British singer George Michael, was arrested on drug-possession charges on Friday, in a public bathroom in North London.

According to the Daily Telegraph, police officers caught Michael, 45, using a small amount of crack cocaine and marijuana in a public restroom. After which he was taken to the North London police station, where he was given a cautionary warning, and then released after accepting full responsibility for carrying the drugs.

“The caution was issued for the possession of Class A and Class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis,” a spokeperson for Scotland Yard told the Telegrpah. “He was released and no further action will be taken.”

George Michael has a lot of stories to tell, and he will now be given the opportunity to share them in a “no-holds-barred” autobiography.

Michael has signed a multimillion-pound deal with HarperCollins to pen the autobiography “entirely himself,” reports the UK Press Association.

Michael has had a turbulent personal and professional life, filled with tabloid drama. The book will reveal Michael’s side of the stories we all know, as well as some juicy secrets. “People aren’t stupid, they’re beginning to notice that the truth is more interesting than the stories the press come up with,” Michael’s manager said.

Look for “one of the hottest remaining untold celebrity memoirs” to be released next fall.

Marijuana is about as rampantly available as cigarettes these days but very few celebrities admit to smoking it. George Michael though, apparently isn’t ashamed. He praised the drug and reportedly smoked a joint during a recent television interview with British television network ITV.

Michael was taping a segment for ITV’s arts program “The South Bank Show,” to be broadcast on the network Oct. 31.

“This stuff keeps me sane and happy,” the 43-year-old singer told ITV.

“I’d say it’s a great drug — but obviously it’s not very healthy. You can’t afford to smoke it if you’ve got anything to do,” he added.

While marijuana is illegal in many countries, Michael isn’t in any trouble – a spokeswoman for the ITV program sad the interview was conducted in Madrid, Spain where consumption of the drug is allowed.

This isn’t the first time Michael has made headlines for his connections to marijuana. When police found the singer slumped over the steering wheel of his car in north London earlier this month, Michael was issued a formal warning for his possession of the substance.

If charged, Michael could have faced a sentence of up to two years in prison. However, most people found with only small amounts of the substance normally get away with just a warning for possession in Britain.

Anti-drug activists have been speaking out against Michael’s alleged comments. William Butler of drug treatment charity Addaction said he was “concerned about the message this can send out to young people.”

“Cannabis is illegal because it can be harmful, as can all drugs,” he added.

George Michael, the controversial British pop star, was arrested and cautioned by police after being discovered passed out in his car and possessing marijuana.

Reuters reports that Michael was released on bail with authorities looking into whether or not he is fit to keep his license.

“At about 3.22 a.m. on Sunday morning officers were informed of a stationary vehicle with a driver inside causing an obstruction” in north London, said a police spokesman. Keeping with police custom in the U.K., the spokesman refused to confirm the driver’s identity.

As a precautionary measure, Michael was taken to hospital for a brief medical exam.

Aging pop stars George Michael and Elton John are putting their differences aside and appear to have finally made nice. The flashy John announced on British talk show Parkinson on Friday that their very public two-year feud has officially ended.

“George and I are fine,” he told host Michael Parkinson on air. “He came and stayed down my house last year. We’re fine.”

The spat between the two singers started in 2004, at around the same time when John also made headlines for his catty remarks about Madonna. John said former Wham! frontman Michael was “miserable” because “he’s quite happy just being at home all the time and I think that’s a waste of talent. There seems to be a deep-rooted unhappiness in his life and it shows on his latest album.”

In response, Michael had responded with an open letter stating, “Elton John knows nothing about George Michael. We have spoken rarely in the last 10 years and what would probably surprise most people is that we have never discussed my private life.”

George Michael has been caught with his pants down in a park – again.

The openly gay singer was allegedly caught after he had sex with a man in a London Park early Tuesday morning, Life Style UK reports.

The article says Michael emerged from the woods at 3 a.m., just after he had sex with a 58-year-old by the name of Norman Kirtland.

“I don’t believe it, f*** off! If you put those pictures in the paper I’ll sue,” Michael reportedly yelled at the photographer who took his picture.

Kirtland says he didn’t recognize Michael at first. He says the two men kissed and fondled each other in the park, but they did not have full sex.

Michael is in a relationship with long-term partner, Kenny Goss, who also stood by the superstar when he was arrested in California in 1998 for a lewd act in a washroom, when he flashed a police officer.

Elton John has released his inner diva yet again ? by lashing out at photographers during an award presentation at the Cannes Film Festival.

According to the UK’s Lifestyle Extra, John was presenting an award to “TransAmerica” actor Kevin Zegers last Friday when a photographer took his picture and John lashed out.

“If you saw ‘Transamerica’… I’m talking… you f**kwit, f**king photographers you should be shot, you should be all shot. Thank you,” John reportedly said.

Madonna and George Michael have been targets of John’s lashing out this past year.
