Actress JENNIFER GARNER has hit out at the media for their “disturbing” obsession with celebrity children, insisting the paparazzi should respect their privacy.
The former ALIAS star, 34, tied the knot with DAREDEVIL actor BEN AFFLECK in June 2005 and gave birth to daughter VIOLET ANNE six months later.
But Garner admits she is shocked at the amount of attention the couple still attract.
She says, “I thought we’d have more privacy after we got married. But it doesn’t seem to have calmed down very much. Everyone wants exclusive shots of you in Starbucks.
“And there’s a fascination with the children of celebrities, which is the most disturbing thing to me.”

Former ALIAS star JENNIFER GARNER will produce and possibly star in the film DEVIL IN THE JUNIOR LEAGUE.
The movie, based on a novel by LINDA FRANCIS LEE, will revolve around a stuffy Southern socialite whose husband disappears with another woman and her fortune.
She turns to a lawyer who agrees to take on her case in exchange for helping his gaudy, less-than appropriate wife become a society lady who can gain entry into the Junior League, a women’s educational and charitable organization.
It is not known whether Garner is likely to play the socialite or the woman in need of a makeover.

There’s a reason why Jennifer Garner is the only star billed in ads for Catch and Release – everyone else sucked. While writer and director Susannah Grant (Erin Brokovich) is probably as much to blame as her wooden actors, the bottom line is that her movie can be summed up with one word: bland.
Garner plays Gray, whose fiancé Grady (way to make things confusing) dies unexpectedly in a skiing accident. Three of his closest buddies swoop in to help Gray pick up the pieces – only to complicate the grieving process when it slips that her man had recently fathered a child with a LA masseuse. Heartbroken and under pressure from Grady’s mother to stop the illegitimate kid from inheriting Grady’s million-dollar wealth (which had been another secret), Gray runs into the arms of Fritz, the only one of Grady’s confidantes who knew the truth. Surprise, surprise, they fall in love.
Catch and Release is highly predictable. A shame, since the storyline allows for what could have been a very unique approach to the subject of dealing with death – which isn’t always a popular choice for feel-good movies. The key element missing was some character-driven personality. Instead, we get Fritz – a pretty face (played by Josh Duhamel-lookalike Timothy Olyphant) cursed with the cheesiest of lines (Gray: “What’s your favourite colour?” / Fritz: “Gray” / Audience: Vomit.) Dennis, played by TV star Sam Jaeger, is another friend vying for Gray’s love, who seems to have no other purpose in life other than to suffocate her with attention. Director-writer Kevin Smith gives acting a go again here, in a stereotypical funny guy role as friend #3. Appropriate, and Smith does do a good job of lightening up the movie, but again, nothing much there beyond that. It almost seems too bad that Grady is dead because he surely could have kicked this movie up a notch. Daring cheater, but one, we later find out, who may actually have had a generous heart. Complex.
On the up side, Garner does succeed in bringing just enough conflict into Gray to make her character interesting to watch. However, it doesn’t seem to be quite enough to make Catch & Release something worth remembering.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner tied the knot Wednesday and are expecting their first child.
Publicists for Affleck, 32, and Garner, 33, have confirmed the pregnancy and representatives for the actors confirmed the wedding.
The couple got married at the Parrot Cay resort in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos. The National Enquirer reportedly has pictures of the sunset wedding where Garner’s “Alias” co-star, Victor Garber, was a guest.
Us Weekly says that while Garner was shooting the movie “Catch and Release” in Vancouver last Friday, Affleck had a bachelor party in their Los Angeles home.
The couple met while shooting the superhero flick “Daredevil” but didn’t start dating until last year when they made their relationship public at Fenway Park when they were watching Affleck’s favourite team, the Boston Red Sox, win the World Series.
That was the same year Affleck and Jennifer Lopez broke off their highly publicized engagement (in January). In March, Garner divorced actor Scott Foley after three and a half years of marriage.
