It was only a matter of time before a university marching band covered PSY’s hit “Gangnam Style” FTW. Ohio University Marching 110 is apparently pretty badass band considering they’ve also covered LMFAO’s “Party Rock.” The band touted their horns to the viral song and even lent their voices to obligatory “Gangnam Style” chants and a mini dance number near the end.
We’ve watched our fair share of “Gangnam Style” remakes and parodies here at ANDPOP. Just last week, I feverishly compiled a list of the 15 best covers and literally couldn’t get the song out of my head for the rest of the weekend, much to the annoyance of my friends who had to humor me as I presented my horse-riding move.
There’s yet another parody this week. This time, Psy’s viral hit gets turned into “London Style,” showing off popular landmarks like the London Eye and Big Ben. Expect more covers… they probably won’t stop until every city on Earth produces at least one respectable “Gangnam Style” cover.
