Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse gave a touching speech at the funeral moments ago. He shared stories of Amy playing music from a young age, reports TMZ.

During Mitch’s eulogy, he said, “Goodnight my angel … Sleep tight. Mommy and Daddy love you ever so much.”

The service was lead by a Rabbi in both Hebrew and English.

The service ended with the mourners singing ”So Far Away” by Carole King.

Probably one of the scariest things imaginable. A Russian woman was declared dead after she was found laying at home, and doctors belived she died from a heart attack. However, she was actually still alive.

Mourners went to pay their respects at her funeral, when Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov suddenly awoke inside her coffin. She immediately started screaming in terror, and was rushed back to hospital, where she was officially declared dead, reports The Daily Mail.

Her husband said, “Her eyes fluttered and we immediately rushed her back to the hospital but she only lived for another 12 minutes in intensive care before she died again, this time for good.”

Seriously, didn’t anybody check her pulse the first time? How do you make a mistake like that?

The upcoming ‘Glee’ death is going to be a sad one, guys.

Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina Cohen-Chang on the show, found filming the mystery ‘Glee’ death “really hard,” reports CTV.

An unnamed character will pass away in the ‘Funeral’ episode of the current season and Ushkowitz admits the whole cast were upset when filming the scenes.

“You know it was really, really sad. Any kind of death is sad and it brings you back to a place you don’t really want to go. So it kind of affects everybody. It was really hard but the episode is done really, really well.”

The actress, 25, hopes fans will “appreciate” the storyline and thinks they will like watching the “sad” scenes.

“It was really sweet and I think people will appreciate it. It was done in the right way. I think they’ll be sad but I think they’ll feel for the characters who will be affected by it. Any death, and especially on ‘Glee’ since you don’t expect something like that so for that to happen, I think you’re like ‘Oh, wow.’ I think fans will be shocked a little bit, and not expect anything at all. I think fans will like it.”

Who will it be? Will it be the wheelchair-bound-Artie who finally meets his demise? Or will it be the ever-so-annoying Rachel (let’s pray it is.) Guess we can only find out on May 17, when the episode airs.

‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison has confirmed that “someone’s dying pretty soon” on the hit show, reports Billboard.

Morrison, who plays teacher Will Schuester, doesn’t believe his character will bite the dust, though. “I’m working today,” he told Billboard.com from the Fox show’s set, “so I don’t think it’s gonna be me.”

The May 17 episode, which is titled ‘Funeral,’ will definitely see the lost of a character though. Be sure to grab some kleenex.

Speaking of Morrison, his self-titled debut album drops on tomorrow, May 10, and features the single ‘Summer Rain.’ The album will also feature duets with Sting on a gospelized take of his “Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot,” Elton John on a pairing of “Mona Lisas and Madhatters” and “Rocket Man,” and recurring ‘Glee’ guest Gwyneth Paltrow on “Over the Rainbow.” A 22-city solo tour will kick off June 18 in Minneapolis.

“This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, actually, and ‘Glee’ has set me up to be in a position where I can make it a great album and do it right and do it on my own terms,” says Morrison, a seasoned Broadway actor who was also part of the boy band LMNT a decade ago. “I’m one of those people that really wants to do it all. I have a big appetite for life, and I want to do everything I possibly can.”

Hmmm, maybe Morrison is being coy and his character actually is dying? I mean, he’s going to be busy promoting this album and touring, so wouldn’t it be convenient if he left the show now to pursue the solo career? Just a thought.

I can’t say forsure, but I”m going to venture a guess that the term “fashionably late” was moulded in the spirit of divas like Liz Taylor.

Liz was always known to make a grand entrance, and in poetic fashion, after the legendary actress passed away earlier this week, she made a grand exit.

According to Perez Hilton, Liz specifically and hilariously requested her funeral procession begin about 15 minutes after people arrive, so the actress could essentially be fashionably late to even her own funeral. Lindsay Lohan was reportedly 16 minutes late. (KIDDING).

Taylor died of heart complications on Wednesday at the age of 79, but her playful sense of humour and undeniable charisma will always have a place in the sun.

Seriously, this could happen to anybody. You are at your cousin’s funeral, and you end up getting into a brawl with your other cousin. It happens all the time, right?

Well it happened to The Game back in 2008. The Game was at the funeral for his cousin when he and four others ended up brawling with the deceased’s brother, Robert Kirkwood. Later in the year, Kirkwood filed suit against The Game for injuries sustained in the fight.

According to TMZ, an L.A. judge was sympathetic to Kirkwood and is ordering Game – real name Jayceon Taylor- to pay $50,580 in damages.

The Game probably never had a chance winning this case. Seriously, brawling at a funeral!! Come on dude.

The cheque for Corey Haim’s funeral has been cancelled by celebrity memorabilia company Startifacts, reports TMZ.

Startifacts initially committed $20,000 to help cover some of Haim’s funeral expenses. However after emails with Haim’s brother-in-law Mark Alexander, the company learned that the money was being put towards Haim’s mom’s cancer treatment and the funeral home covered Corey’s funeral expenses.

A rep for Judy Haim says that Judy’s cancer treatments were covered and there has been some type of miscommunication. Nevertheless Starifacts is not sending another cheque.

Although they have been friends for decades, Corey Feldman will not be attending Corey Haim’s funeral in Toronto.

In a statement released by Feldman, he explains “In the days following my best friend Corey Haim’s death, I have spent much time with his mother Judy, who has always been like a mother to me. I would love nothing more than to be by her side at Corey’s funeral, however, due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy, the family has decided to make Corey’s funeral on Tuesday a small private affair.”

“Instead, I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial,” he continues. “As a sign of respect, I am asking the media to honor Corey Haim by making the same choice. I am working with a few people who were close to Corey to put a memorial together within the next month. At that time, the media will be invited to honor and celebrate the legacy he has left behind, along with friends, fans and the rest of the Hollywood community.”

E! News reports the memorial event is expected to take place on April 2nd.

Although there was some initial concerns that there wouldn’t be enough money for Corey Haim’s funeral, a last minute savior has stepped into help.

TMZ has learned that the memorabilia company auctioning off his belongings will be covering Corey’s funeral expenses. Starifacts has offered $20,000 from the sale of his belongings which will be used for his funeral. Some of the major expenses include a headstone, transporting his body back to his hometown of Toronto, and other related costs.

The funeral is expected to take place next week.

Last night, Marie Osmond stepped back on stage for the first time since the tragic death of her son, reports TMZ.

At her Las Vegas performance, Osmond spoke to the audience about her recent loss.

“The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing and that’s what we want to do tonight … I know my son would want that. He was full of love and laughter and this show is for him, ” said an emotional Osmond.

The ’90′s singing sensation stayed grounded for most of the concert. That is, until her brother Donny Osmond closed the show with the line, “May God keep you in his tender care.”

Osmond’s son Michael Bryan, 18, took his own life on February 26, 2010. The funeral for Bryan was held on Monday.

CNN is reporting that the funeral for Brittany Murphy will be held late Thursday evening at Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn Cemetery by invitation only. The family plans to have a larger memorial in the new year, however no further details are available at this time. A family spokesperson has confirmed that both Catholic and Jewish clergy will be conducting the service.

The 32 year old actress died Sunday evening at  her home. There are no reports of foul play.

After parties aren’t hard to come by in the entertainment world, which is why it was no surprise Michael Jackson’s burial was followed by a high-profile soiree at Villa Sorriso Ristorante in Pasadena.

It’s even less-surprising that the footage could be turned into a special screening for A&E. A DVD, with footage of the burial, is also rumoured to be in the works.

The funeral was indeed a star-studded affair, with guests including Elizabeth Taylor, Barry Bonds, Macaulay Culkin, Mila Kunis, Chris Tucker, Al Sharpton and the entire Jackson family (although they arrived nearly an hour and a half late.)

Following the ceremony at the Forest Lawn cemetary in Glendale, some of the Jackson family and other mourners went to the restaurant where Rat Pack music played throughout the night and Casablanca was screened on the walls, according to TMZ. On the way out, Corey Feldman busted out his fedora and best MJ dance move to the resounding cheers of crowds outside the restaurant.

Now with Jackson laid to rest, fans and friends will be able to remember him via the silver screen. Michael Jackson: THIS IS IT will hit theatres worldwide for an exclusive two-week engagement starting Oct. 28 thanks to Sony Entertainment. The film bears the same name as Jackson’s world tour, and will be directed by Kenny Ortega who was Jackson’s creative partner for the tour.

Footage of Jackson preparing for the tour that would have kicked off in London this summer will be included in the film, featuring rehearsals, studio time and candid backstage moments.

“This film is a gift to Michael’s fans. As we began assembling the footage for the motion picture we realized we captured something extraordinary, unique and very special. It’s a very private, exclusive look into a creative genius’s world. For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before – this great artist at work,” Ortega said in a press release on Jackson’s website.

“I’m proud of the many years of friendship and creative association I shared with Michael and I’m happy that people will get a chance to see his spirit and drive in action. THIS IS IT may go down as the greatest concert that no one got a chance to see, but with this film, we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call and what I believe was going to be his master work.”

Tickets will go on sale Sept. 27 in most cities. No details about a DVD have been released.

British reality TV star Jade Goody is expected to draw thousands of mourners as well as the media this Saturday. However her young sons will not be present.The two young boys, Bobby, 5, and Freddy, 4, are being taken on a trip to Australia by their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier. On March 22nd at the age of only 27 Goody died from a highly publicized case of cancer.

PEOPLE reports that singer Michael Jackson has sent his condolences to Goody’s mother, Jackiey Budden, and Goody’s husband Jack Tweed. 

“He sent a message saying Jade was a ‘very brave girl.’ Jackson added “You must be very proud of her and what she achieved, that so man lives will be saved because of her,” says family spokesman Max Clifford according to PEOPLE. “He sent them his condolences and said that he will be sending flowers for the funeral this weekend.”

A small group of family and friends gathered on Sunday afternoon to pay their respects to the late actress Natasha Richardson, in a private funeral near her Millbrook home in upstate New York.

According to E! News, the services included around 40 people- including her husband, actor Liam Neeson; their two sons, Michael and Daniel; mother Vanessa Redgrave; sister Joely Richardson; and longtime friend and fellow actor Ralph Fiennes.

The “Parent Trap” actress died on Wednesday at the age of 45, after experiencing a head injury while skiing at Mont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada.

Natasha is expected to be buried at nearby St. Peter’s cemetery where her maternal grandmother Rachel Kempson was buried in 2003. Kempson passed away while visiting her granddaughter.

Ten police officers were stationed outside the church where more than two dozen reporters and onlookers had quietly gathered. Despite the threat of protests from Kansas City-based Westboro Baptist Church, which opposes Richardson’s support for AIDS research, the scene was calm.
