Chris Daughtry Says No to Fuel

American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry’s Fuel is empty once again.

Daughtry decided not to sign an offer with the band Fuel, according to E! Online, planning instead to do his “own thing.”

The contestant was considered to be a favourite to win Idol’s fifth season, when he was voted off during the Elvis Presley themed episode. Fuel had seen him perform one of their hit songs, and decided to offer them the spot of leader singer of the band, which has been vacant since February.

Daughtry didn?t provide any specifics into his career, but he will be on the road with the other finalists for the summer Idol tour beginning July 5.
