Glee: The 3D Concert Movie didn’t get the numbers everyone was hoping for at the box office. It only took in $5.7 Million during its opening weekend, which may indicate the Glee franchise is fading.

The movie cost roughly $9 Million to produce, according to Rolling Stone. The movie is a documentary of the TV show’s cast going on their summer arena tour.

It’s not a mystery why this film flopped.

Filipino singing sensation Charice has been cut from the next season of FOX’s Glee. This was confirmed by the show creator Ryan Murphy.

Apparently Glee will no longer feature celebrity guests, and there will be less singing moving forward (but isn’t that the appeal of the show?)

In an interview with Celebuzz, Charice said:

“It was a great experience. Especially when we did the season finale, because it was my birthday when we shot the finale episode. It was a great experience working with them – all the cast, the crew, everybody. I just miss them because they’re like family now,” Charice said.

Good luck to Charice. We think fondly of her, and we were extremely impressed when we spoke to her last year.

Fox is cancelling its long-running crime-stopping series ’America’s Most Wanted,’ reports Entertainment Weekly.

The series, which profiles men and women wanted by law enforcement agencies, has been on the air since 1988 and consistently wins its time period. A few years ago it announced the capture of its 1,000th criminal. The show is legendary – but it doesn’t seem to be enough.

The show will still have a presence on Fox next season, with the network airing four quarterly two-hour specials, but the Saturday night slots will otherwise be replaced by repeats. Really Fox?

Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly told reporters on Monday that the show was no longer profitable. “John Walsh has been an important guy at network for a long time,” Reilly says. “It’s been an important show for us historically. We haven’t made money on the show in quite awhile. It wasn’t particularly viable. We wanted to keep the franchise alive. John is having conversations about ways to keep the series alive.”

“We’re going to be in originals across our schedule,” Reilly says. “We want to be able to play repeats to give the audience a chance to catch up and that’s one of the few places we can do that.”

The show averaged 5 million viewers this season and a 1.7 rating in the adult demo, which is still pretty impressive for a Saturday night. The show was perfect for those boring Saturday nights, so I don’t know what many middle-aged parents will do now. Will you miss the show?

Fox has cancelled five current shows and is adding three new ones, E Online reports.

In a ruthless move, Fox has also canceled ‘Lie to Me,’ ‘The Chicago Code,’ and ‘Traffic Light.’ The network has also canceled ‘Human Target’ after just two seasons, as well as the new Christian Slater comedy ‘Breaking In.’

It’s being called #FOXapolipse on Twitter.

Ruthless, indeed. But with that comes three new shows to expect for the fall.

First on the list of new shows is the ‘Bones’ spinoff ‘The Finder,’ starring Geoff Stults, which is based off an episode of ‘Bones’ that aired last month.

Also added to the Fox network is the drama ‘Alcatraz’ from J.J. Abrams, the mastermind behind ‘Lost’ and ‘Fringe.’

In the comedy department, Fox is adding ‘The New Girl,’ an ensemble show exploring the sexual politics among men and women. The show will star Zooey Deschanel and Damon Wayans Jr.

I personally won’t miss any of the cancelled shows. The new ones sound sort of promising. ‘The New Girl’ is probably the only one I’ll actually check out, because I love Zooey Deschanel. The show ‘Alcatraz’ will probably worth checking out too, I mean, J.J. Abrams, hello. What do you think of the switch-ups?

‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison has confirmed that “someone’s dying pretty soon” on the hit show, reports Billboard.

Morrison, who plays teacher Will Schuester, doesn’t believe his character will bite the dust, though. “I’m working today,” he told Billboard.com from the Fox show’s set, “so I don’t think it’s gonna be me.”

The May 17 episode, which is titled ‘Funeral,’ will definitely see the lost of a character though. Be sure to grab some kleenex.

Speaking of Morrison, his self-titled debut album drops on tomorrow, May 10, and features the single ‘Summer Rain.’ The album will also feature duets with Sting on a gospelized take of his “Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot,” Elton John on a pairing of “Mona Lisas and Madhatters” and “Rocket Man,” and recurring ‘Glee’ guest Gwyneth Paltrow on “Over the Rainbow.” A 22-city solo tour will kick off June 18 in Minneapolis.

“This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, actually, and ‘Glee’ has set me up to be in a position where I can make it a great album and do it right and do it on my own terms,” says Morrison, a seasoned Broadway actor who was also part of the boy band LMNT a decade ago. “I’m one of those people that really wants to do it all. I have a big appetite for life, and I want to do everything I possibly can.”

Hmmm, maybe Morrison is being coy and his character actually is dying? I mean, he’s going to be busy promoting this album and touring, so wouldn’t it be convenient if he left the show now to pursue the solo career? Just a thought.

Glee’s executive music producer Adam Anders is launching his own record label, reports Billboard.

The label, titled Anders Music Records, will first launch a self-titled debut album of singer/dancer/actor Shane Harper, who plays the recurring character Spencer Walsh on the Disney Channel sitcom ‘Good Luck Charlie.’

Also in the works are albums by Montana native Zac Poor and Texas singer/songwriter Ben Burgess.

“When you do a standard distribution deal, you are being boxed into one system,” Anders says. “By saying, ‘Let’s do everything in-house,’ we can make the decision as to when we need a major.”

Harper’s first single, ‘One Step Closer,’ was featured on ‘Good Luck Charlie’ in April. Radio Disney added the song to its playlist and Abercrombie & Fitch’s Hollister stores used the song and Harper’s image in promotional activities. Guess Anders took notice.

The single has now sold close to 3,000 digital tracks since its March 31 release, while the album has sold fewer than 1,000 units since its April 12 bow, according to Nielsen SoundScan.  Harper is currently touring with YouTube star Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson, which wraps May 18.

“I don’t believe in putting out a single and then if it doesn’t hit, drop the artist,” Anders says. “We are here to develop artists — there is no timetable to getting it right.”

“I’m 35 and I tend to gravitate toward younger artists,” he says. “But if the singer is 30 and the music’s great, I’ll consider it.”

The man obviously knows music and has the power to launch his own label, so why not?  I like his comment about not dropping artists due to low sales. It’s not always the artist’s fault and I think it’s unfair due to bad promotion or advertising. Hopefully he’ll bring back some integrity to the music business.

Although all of their cases deal with the deceased, it seems the show will live to see yet another season!

FOX has announced that the crime procedural Bones has been picked up for a seventh season. The good news was announced Wednesday by FOX boss Kevin Reilly, according to E! Online.

David Boreanaz, who plays Seeley Booth on the show, took to Twitter yesterday to announce the good news to all of his fans first hand, saying, “OT! Orange and Black craziness! Oh, Season 7 is GO for Bones.” While it wasn’t really a question if the show would be given the greenlight for another season or not, the news is still extremely exciting to fans of the show.

Fox has decided to pull several upcoming hurricane themed episodes, reports E Online.

On Sunday, Fox’s ‘Animation Domination’ was supposed to be a crossover event, with a hurricane sweeping through Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show. But in wake of the deadly storms that ripped through the South this week, Fox decided to pull the episodes from the schedule. Repeats of the shows will air in their place, with the crossover event shifted to next season. Really, they are still going to air them?

“In light of the recent storms that have affected the nation, Fox has decided to postpone the crossover episodes that were originally scheduled to air this Sunday,” the network said in a statement. Seth McFarlane and his team had written the episodes over a year ago, but they agreed to hold them after consulting with Fox.

McFarlane is known for controversial plotlines in his shows, touching on just about every sensitive issue from abortion to politics, but in this case he was willing to put it off.

I’m sure the episodes aren’t intentionally super insensitive and horrible, but it seems like so many natural disasters are happening today that it’s bound to be offensive to someone. The smart move, to me, would be to pull the episodes all together instead of re-runing them at a later time. But, hey, I don’t run Fox.

Fox and “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk are not happy right now. Why? Well the ending of “Glee” has been spoiled by an extra who Tweeted the ending of an upcoming episode.

Gawker reports Nicole Crowther, an extra who had worked on an upcoming episode of “Glee,” leaked the ending. Brad Tweeted back saying “[H]ope you’re qualified to do something besides work in entertainment…Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create?”

This is now starting rumours that any cast member who leaks info about the show could face stiff financial penalties as part of their employment contracts.

However, leaking the episode could be the best career move Nicole has ever done. Although Brad probably wants to kill her, a lot of people now know her name!

According to super-producer Brian Grazer’s Twitter account, the long-in-development 24 movie has been confirmed for a 2012 release date. It’s time for the generation’s Chuck Norris to reign again.

“Got off the phone with Kiefer yesterday, and we are very exciteded about producing the ’24′ movie for next year,” said Grazer on his Twitter last Tuesday.

Grazer and his buddy Ron Howard produced the 24 TV series from 2001-2010 on Fox under their Imagine Entertainment company.

Last month, Sutherland reported to both Entertainment Weekly and the lovely ladies on The View that the film is “the little engine that could” and it will come out in 2012. But, with Grazer on board it has become official.

According to PerezHilton.com, indie darling, Zooey Deschanel is reportedly in conversation with FOX to star in a new comedy pilot.

The show is about Jessica (Deschanel) a down on her luck elementary school teacher who is annoyed with a relationship and moves in with a trio of juvenile men. The show’s titles was supposed to be Chicks and Dicks, but now it is “untitled”. Deschanel is very good at making awkward situations hilarious as we have seen in (500) Days of Summer and Elf. It seems like the show would be fitting for the actress. Deschanel would be starring on FOX alongside her sister Emily Deschanel, the star of the hit series Bones.

It’s an interesting move for FOX, but clearly two Deschanels are better than one.

Hip-Hop and RnB sensation Jesse McCartney, of “No stress, no stress, no stress” fame, is joining the world of musician/actor crossovers.

Perez Hilton is reporting that McCartney landed a significant starring role on a new TV show pilot for FOX entitled Locke and Key. You see what they did there? It’s like a ‘lock’ and a ‘key’ but its actually two last names! Amazing, FOX. Just amazing, amazing work.

Anyway, McCartney, the Aaron Carter spawn-off, will play one of three sons on a show reportedly about “Nina Locke and her three children, who return to their Massachusetts home after Nina’s husband is murdered, where they are ‘pestered by an evil entity that’s determined to hold the family hostage one way or another until it gets what it wants’”.

To tell you the truth, that sounds like the opposite of “No stress, no stress, no stress.” That sounds like stress!!!

Things are not looking good for Will Arnett’s newest show, Running Wilde.

Perez Hilton reports that Arnett, along with the show’s stars, have taken to popular microblogging site Twitter in order to support a grassroots effort to keep the Fox show on the air.

The show follows Arnett’s character, a narcissistic billionaire, as he tries to win back his high school love.

Fans started a Twitter petition last week, but things are not looking good at the network. Though 13 episodes of the show have been ordered, Fox has elected to show back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope instead of a new Wilde episode.

Geez! First you drop Arrested Development, then you turn down Conan, and now you’re thinking of cancelling Running Wilde? What’s wrong with you, Fox? Too busy running your pseudo-funny cash cow, Glee, into the ground? We saw that awkward lesbian scene last episode and it made NO FREAKIN’ SENSE in context or otherwise!

Kara DioGuardi has issued a statement saying she has officially left “American Idol.”

“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined ‘American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave ‘Idol.’”

She continues by saying “I am very proud to have been associated with ‘American Idol’ - it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!”

No official word who the new roster of judges will include, but rumor has it Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are the frontrunners.

Just when it looks like “American Idol” reject Ian Benardo finally has come to his senses, he screws it all up. The “singer” initially filed a lawsuit against the show for $300 Million, but now was withdrawn the lawsuit and filed another one for $100 Million.

TMZ reports Benardo refiled the lawsuit for workplace discrimination and sexual harassment. Originally he filed the suit with the NY State Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, but was later told the lawsuit didn’t qualify.

So what’s the reason for the lawsuit? Benardo claims “Idol” producers exploited his sexual orientation and told him to “gay it up.”

Maybe that’s the reason, or perhaps its just sour grapes? Or maybe he is just trying to hold on to his fifteen minutes of fame? Either way, watch the video below of his audition. What do you think?

TMZ reports that sources tell them Kara DioGuardi has been fired from Fox’s “Amercian Idol.”

The show will return to a three judge format, which should include Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

The only way Kara will be able to return is if the negotiations with Lopez fail. However sources say the deal is pretty much done.

As we reported earlier, Ellen DeGeneres announced Thursday she would not be returning to “American Idol.”

After sitting in the one of the judge’s chairs for the ninth season of American Idol, Ellen DeGeneres is calling it quits.  The talk show host will no longer be a judge on the FOX hit show, reports People.com.

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” Ellen said in a statement.  “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

Ellen cited that it was sometimes tough to tell the truth to young singers.  “I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings,” she said in the statement.

There don’t seem to be any hard feelings though, as Ellen had nothing but good things to say about her time with the show.  “I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

With Simon Cowell also leaving, there are now two seats to fill for the tenth season of the show, and some names have already been floating around.  Word is Jennifer Lopez may be getting a spot!  Who would you choose as the perfect panel?
