Two Apprentice hopefuls were sent packing in last night’s episode of “The Apprentice.”
The move to fire two of the candidates instead of one was not a huge shocker, considering this season of the show wraps up in two weeks, and there were still four candidates instead of three vying for the position of being Donald Trump’s apprentice.
The two sent packing were the last two remaining members of the Synergy team ? Allie and Roxanne. The two girls had become friends during the show and that was ultimately both their downfalls.
The task was to create new uniforms for (product placement alert!!!!) Embassy Suites hotel. It was a classic men-versus-women task, in which the Donald himself assumed the women would win because they’re, well, women. It seems the Donald has never heard of the modern, metrosexual man.
The women decided to update the uniforms and make them more stylish and hip, while Lee and Sean (the guys at Gold Rush) decided that modern and traditional was the better way to go.
Allie took control and decided not to listen when the girls at the front desk said they liked wearing pants, but wanted ones that moved a little easier. Instead, Allie decided to go ahead with a skirt for them. Roxanne told to cameras she disagreed with this move, but never really said anything to Allie.
The girls’ uniforms were pretty ugly and not practical for any of the workers at the hotel (as Sean said “Dynasty called ? they want their shoulder pads back”). And Gold Rush won the task with nearly 75 per cent of the workers voting for their uniforms over Synergy’s disastrous creations.
Lee and Sean were then treated to their reward ? dinner with Don Jr. and daughter Ivanka (which is hardly the same as dinner with Caroline and George, but whatever), while Roxanne and Allie swore they were not going to attack each other in the board room.
However, friendship soon got thrown out the window as Roxanne began blaming Allie, and Allie began calling Roxanne a liar, as she had never heard her complaints before.
Trump told the two women he was very disappointed in them, as he had never seen two people as close as they were turn on each other so fast.
“Losing is a horrible thing,” he prefaced them. Yeah, thanks for that ingenious advice, Trump.
So instead of keeping one, he fired them both because they threw their friendship out the window almost as soon as the boardroom door was shut.
But don’t worry; Allie and Roxanne are still friends.
Next week is part one of the finale, where Lee and Sean will be going head to head for the job of Trump’s apprentice.
