In addition, her most recent album, Fearless, was 2009’s top-seller, with an excess of 3.2 million copies sold.

Posted on andPOP:

It seems like Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” has been scaring off the other albums. The country singer’s sophomore album has landed the No. 1 spot for the past seven weeks.

Swift’s album sold 63,000 for the week that ended Sunday according to Nielsen SoundScan.

But it looks like her No. 1 spot will be taken by next week. Bruce Springsteen is en route to landing the top spot with his album “Working on a Dream.” Meanwhile, Mariah Carey landed at the No. 10 spot with “Ballads.”

Bon Iver scored the No. 1 spot in the Digital Albums chart, his EP “Blood Bank” sold 18,000 of its 23,000 copies through downloads. However, it didn’t score as high on the Billboard 200 chart, landing at No. 16.

The good news for artists is that total album sales have increased by nine per cent from last week. The bad news is that compared to the same week in 2008, album sales have decreased by 12 per cent.

Beyoncé Knowles’ “I Am…Sasha Fierce” landed at No. 2 with 77,000 copies. It is estimated that “Fearless” will continue to dominate the charts since there are no major releases scheduled for the next little while.

Kanye West climbed two spots with “808s & Heartbreak,” earning the rapper the No. 3 spot with 71,000.

This weeks biggest jumper is “All Wrapped Up,” an album that features songs by “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. The holiday album jumped 78 spots, landing at No. 10.

Other winners include the “Twilight soundtrack” (No. 4), Nickelback’s “Dark Horse” (No. 5) and “Circus” by Britney Spears (No. 6).
