Faith Hill Says Freakout Was Just a Joke

Faith Hill says her “freakout” at the CMAs was just a joke, but some fans have taken the diva seriously.

The freakout refers to Hill’s behaviour during the announcement of the winner of the female vocalist of the year category. Hill was nominated along with Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride. The camera was on all women when the announcement was made that Underwood won. At first Hill looked as though she thought she had won, then when realizing it was Underwood, she threw her hands in the air, mouthing “what?” before storming off screen.

Hill said it was all a misunderstanding.

“The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year,” Hill said in a statement.

Her manager, Gary Borman agrees it was just a joke with Hill.

“I’ve worked with Faith for many years now and the idea that she would ever insult or undermine another artist, let alone another human being’s success is absolutely preposterous. Those who know her know that she’s incapable of such actions,” he said.

Faith Hill is Country’s Sexiest Woman

Faith Hill has beat out fellow country crooners Shania Twain and Martina McBride to be named the most beautiful woman in country music, Country Weekly magazine reports.

“To thousands of fans, Faith embodies the ideal woman who really `has it all’ classic beauty, a superstar career, a great marriage to Tim McGraw and three lovely daughters. No other country star projects a sexier, more stunning image,” the magazine proclaims.

The top five included such beauties as Twain, McBride, Sara Evans and Carrie Underwood.

Hill’s husband, Tim McGraw, was fourth on the list of country’s sexiest men. Nicole Kidman’s new husband, Keith Urban, topped that list.

McGraw and Hill Team With Amazon To Raise Money For Hurricane Victims

Married country singers Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have joined with Amazon.com to assist flood victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

McGraw’s will premiere a recently recorded, unreleased song, called “Louisiana.”

McGraw said “You stream the song, and you don’t have to make a donation, but we encourage everybody to make one — or we’ll send some big guys after you.”
