If you haven’t heard, Twitter just released Vine, a new video sharing app with .gif like playback tendencies. It’s basically the video version of Instagram (before they decided to stop being frenemies with Twitter), but without the filters with more seizure inducing playback.
Vine has been pretty boring, even on the crazy celebrity end. Here are just some of the highlights so far:
Tyra Banks looking kind of crazy:

Enrique Iglesias caught Pit Bull throwing around one big ass bra:

Dick Van Dyke’s Cat likes to play with fake hair:

… and that’s pretty much it. Vine so far is just really, really boring and I’m starting to suspect that social media platform is paying celebs to use it. If they are indeed paying celebs to tweet crappy videos of them twiddling their thumbs in an airport (ahem, Tommy Lee), I think their money would be better off in Tyra Banks’ pockets. You have to admit that Banks knows how to werk it, a.k.a. gurl knows how to look .gif-ably crazy.
Do you wonder why women yearn for the fedora-wearing men of the 1950s, who presented fresh red roses at the beginning of dates and who whispered sweet nothings about eyes looking like moons and holding your hand?
Somewhere around 1994 it all went to hell when Boyz II Men started singing about making “love,” which promptly led to muchos songs about f*cking, licking you from head to toe and doing things that can only be described with undecipherable symbols like %$@*$-ing.
While there are definitely some romantic modern tracks out there that collectivecadenza is forgetting (try the James Blunt, Jason Mraz crew), I think they hit the nail on the head. Romance is dying.
It goes both ways though people! So if you’re opting for a homemade, candlelit dinner, forget about Enrique Iglesias “Tonight (I’m Fucking You)” and go for Justin Bieber’s “Die In Your Arms” instead. It will be appreciated.

In the latest instalment of our interview with Dev we try to figure out how she and The Cataracs keep banging out hit records. Including one particular single that happens to feature one of the prettiest men of our generation. Dev and @jordans_life discuss the recording process and what it was like shooting a video with Enrique “man-pretty” Iglesias.

While whistling is being thrown into the “so last year” category by a lot of trend-trackers Flo Rida decided to shun the naysayers and release a track appropriately called “Whistle.”
The track, while unsurprisingly formulaic, is probably going to be looping on the radio all summer considering whistling is infectious. The song has a not subtle sexual hint and Flo Rida is not discreet at all: “Girl I’m gonna show you how to do it / And we start real slow / You just put your lips together / And you come real close / Can you blow my whistle baby, whistle baby.”
Produced by DJ Frank E, the mastermind behind Enrique Iglesias’ “Tonight (I’m Fuckin’ You),” the track is from his upcoming album Only One Rida (Part 2). It appropriately received it’s first air play in the land down under, Australia.

Dev and Enrique Iglesias are not “Naked” in their new music video, though the title hints at it. Misleading as it is, there’s still plenty to like.
The two wander separately around a Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas but never quite run into each other. Dev sports an angled Girl With the Dragon Tattoo blunt cut and drives around the brightly lit city with her girlfriends. Meanwhile, Enrique is inside gambling away all his money at the tables. Eventually they head to the same club, but alas, their eyes do not meet over the sweaty dance floor.
Though they’re never in the same shot, I think the two finally meet in the end as they head into the elevator with their suitcases. I guess that’s destiny for you.
The song has a strong dance element but it’s not the summer track I’ve been craving. What do you think of it?

Nicki Minaj has told UntouchableBritney.net that shes currently in talks to tour with the queen of pop herself, Britney Spears.
“We’re talking. I would love to, but I don’t know yet. I can neither confirm or deny the rumours!”
This has come after Enrique Iglesias pulled out of the tour, although nobody really knows why. Where the tickets too expensive? Was he too egotistical to be a supporting act? Does he not like Britney as a person? We’ll never know, but what I personally think, is that Minaj is a way better choice.
Britney has a hip-hop, dance flavour to her music, so I think an up-and-commer like Nicki Minaj will definitely compliment Britney’s music. Plus, both of their fans tend to be in the same kind of demographic – the gays, the girls, and the clubbers – so it would be a good fit.
It’s not set in stone, though. For all we know, Pauly D can end up opening for her (no, no, no, no.) But who would you like to see open for Britney?
Britney Spears is reportedly in talks with the booty from the bayou, Nicki Minaj, about Nicki replacing Enrique Iglesias on Spears’ upcoming tour. I never thought I would type this, but girls all over the world were devastated when Enrique pulled out.
Sexual innuendo aside, Perez Hilton is reporting the talks are moving quickly with Minaj, and the two ladies will apparently have a deal worked out within the next couple days.
I personally feel this is a great move for Brit, adding a hip-hop appeal to her show. Not to mention, she now has street cred through the roof. Who needs Enrique?
According to Enrique Iglesias, he is too good to be Britney Spears’ opening act, reports TMZ.
Reports surfaced yesterday that Iglesias dropped out of Britney’s tour, only hours of it officially being announced. According to people connected to the story, negotiations were taking place for weeks which would make Enrique a co-headliner. However Enrique came to the conclusion yesterday that he is basically Britney’s opening act, and his ego couldn’t handle that.
One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique … “great terms and great placement.” However he still would take the stage before Britney, and Enrique wasn’t feeling that.
In our opinion, this is going to be one of the biggest tours of the year. Enrique is nuts to give up this chance, even if he is the opening act.
Enrique Iglesias could very well end up being the next self-proclaimed guido on Jersey Shore if he isn’t careful.
The Latin singer, who recently featured the Jersey Shore cast in his music video for the song “I Like It,” is apparently a fan of the MTV reality show, reports E! Online. He is even entertaining the idea of collaborating on a song with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
“I wouldn’t mind it,” Iglesias told E! Online of the idea of collaborating on a song “The Situation,” who recently released is own single, titled, fittingly, “The Situation.”
“I mean, a lot of it comes down to the song, but it would be fun,” Iglesias continued. He added that despite their onscreen behaviour, the Jersey Shore crew was quite professional on the set of his music video.
“They were very easy to work with,” Iglesias said. “You watch the show and you see all this drama and all these fights and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, all of this is going to be going on during the video!’ It wasn’t like that at all. Once I got to hang ut with them, the guys were so nice and I’m actually a big fan now.”
Iglesias’ first bilingual album, Euphoria, is available July 6 exclusively at Target.
Attention all Jersey Shore fans, get those fists pumping. On July 20, MTV and Universal Republic Records are going to release the Jersey Shore Soundtrack, reports MTV News.
The soundtrack will consist of a collection of songs inspired by the hit series.
The first single off of the album is “I Like It,” which is a collaboration between Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull. The club-ready single will be available on iTunes, May 5.
The album features other artists including: Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon.
“MTV is excited to join forces with Universal Republic Records to bring the Jersey Shore Soundtrack to the show’s fans,” Amy Doyle, executive vice president of music and talent programming strategy, MTV brands, said. “From the clubs to the gym, there is going to be a lot of fist pumping and booty shaking going on this summer, and that’s just at my house.”
A deluxe edition of the soundtrack will also be available, which will include a bonus second CD, packed with music inspired by the first season of the “Shore.”
But don’t worry, the fist pumping doesn’t end there.
Fans still have the second season of the show to look forward to. The show will follow Snooki, the Situation, JWoww, DJ Pauly D and the gang down to Miami’s South Beach before returning to their house in Seaside Heights.
The second season will be premiering on Thursday, July 29 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones used the Grammys to recruit more stars to their project of remaking “We are the World,” reports E! News. Bono and Lady Gaga are the latest to sign on. They will join Usher, Jason Mraz, Akon, Jennifer Hudson, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias and Toni Braxton at the recording Monday in Los Angeles. There may be up to 100 singers.
Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias wants to get a little closer to his fans. The pop singer, who usually sells out arenas, will instead embark on an exclusive five-date tour next month that will take him to much more intimate ballrooms and theatres in the U.S.
Fans who sign up for the mailing list on the singer’s official website, EnriqueIglesias.com, will recieve ticket pre-sale information for his “For the Fans” tour this Wednesday.
Iglesias plans to give tour-goers an exclusive preview of some of the new songs off his upcoming studio album, currently scheduled for a spring, 2007 release.
The as-yet-untitled album will be Iglesias’ first since his 2003 hit, “7.”
