So much HAWTNESS at the MTV Movie Awards last night. But I appreciate the misses too because at least those celebs are taking a fashion risk. Otherwise it’s just plain boring, right?
Winners:
Peplum: Emma Stone & Charlize Theron
Both Emma Stone and Charlize Theron pulled off peplum looks. Theron wins by a thread because her striking red Lanvin dress complements her skin tone perfectly and is a little more fun for the MTV Movie Awards. But Stone won the trailblazer award so you know whatever look she touches is golden.
Vintage-inspired T’s: Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa wore a Joan Jett shirt (above) and sunglasses indoors because duh! I’m not sure if he’s wearing the top ironically but I NEED. It looks comfortable plus he’s paying respects to one of rock’s legends.
Sneakers: Kristen Stewart

K-Stew always steals my heart because she manages to be fashionable without sacrificing her comfort or individuality. Some old school designers might cringe (Sacrebleu!) at the sight of her sneakers but personally I think she manages to pull them off. Of course, she didn’t change into the sneakers until after the red carpet because her stylist would have died. Love the Guishem dress too.

Okay, so we’ve figured out something that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are actually bad at. Singing. But that’s okay because the duo in The Amazing Spider-Man (out July 3) don’t care that they’re not in tune and their harmonies are off. Plus, they just want to get the message across: SEE OUR MOVIE.
Stone and Garfield, who are actually dating in real life (d’aw), play Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker in the movie. They sang the song on German TV and though it’s mostly English, they threw in some German to mix it up.
Watch it here:

Fans of the Emma Stone/Ryan Gosling pairing can look no further than the trailer for Gangster Squad.
However, those expecting a sequel to Crazy, Stupid Love will get something much different. In this sexy new action flick, Gosling will be playing an LAPD officer while Stone will be playing the moll.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the movie is a chronicle of the LAPD’s fight to keep the East Coast Mafia types out of LA in the 1940s and 50s. Also starring, are Sean Penn and Josh Brolin.
While the trailer leaves us hanging for more, we do get to see some sexy dialogue between Ryan and Emma’s characters.
“You want to take me away from all this,” she purrs. “No ma’am, I was just hoping to take you to bed,” he replies.
…
And ladies everywhere are now swooning.
The Wanted surprise a fan on FreshPressLive. Brittany and Jordan talk about Emma Stone’s dance challenge and a bear getting freaky with a tree.

Emma Stone was vague when Ellen asked her who was the better kisser between Andrew Garfield and Ryan Gosling. She cleverly answered by avoiding the question saying it’s like comparing apples and oranges. When Ellen pushed her further Emma said she likes all fruits — though it should be mentioned that she and Andrew Garfield are dating. So I think she’s biased. Ellen also made the actress face her fear of spiders by cruelly bringing in an eight legged monster and flinging it on the actress.
Watch the clip below:
While in the studio, Emma Stone destroyed Ellen’s dance challenge in the best way possible, thrusting behind several unknowing victims.
Katy Perry

Katy Perry outsmarted the Kids’ Choice slimers by wearing a radioactive sewer green colour. The small act of defiance would camouflage any disgusting sludge thrown on her during the awards by making it look like she had already been poured on. Damn Katy Perry for thinking ahead! From then on, any spontaneous sliming throughout the ceremony would be so two hours ago.
Selena Gomez

Like Katy Perry, Selena Gomez chose to go with a midriff baring top (gasp!) but manages to make it parent-endorsed by choosing white lace to counteract its risque nature. The outfit is by Dolce & Gabbana.
Kristen Stewart

I’m not into Kristen Stewart’s matching shoes and dress. [Warning: cheesy joke coming.] It makes me feel blue. The hair pulled back with the lacey Stella McCartney dress makes it look a little too pristine for the Kids’ Choice Awards. She could have at least added her trademark worn out Converse.
Emma Stone

Emma Stone gets the “Serious Fashion for Serious People Award.” Her Antonio Berardi dress is chic without being too stuck up and without being too… slime green.
And the guys….
Josh Hutcherson

Josh Hutcherson roughed it in a pair of jeans, plaid shirt and beige jacket. It’s a little too casual (especially the shoes) but we’ll take it. Swoon!
One Direction

One Direction donned their tightest pants (I’m looking at you Louis) and firmest hair gel. Notice how their strategic clothing binds them together. Niall and Zayn wear white on the top and dark pants on the bottom. Harry and Liam wear dark blazers on top and white pants on the bottom. Then there’s Louis… who is glueing the band together in all white.
Cody Simpson

Just like Louis, Cody Simpson wore all white and even buttoned his collared shirt all the way to the top (he was feeling a little shy). He also managed to pose with his sunglasses just so for the entire night. The pose is a dangerous tactic to hook more fans, but he knows it never fails.
Today we talk about Will Ferrell’s hilarious bathrobe interview, an offensive cartoon about Chris Brown and Andrew Garfield’s “British” blow-up at the paparazzi.
Today we talk about Will Ferrell’s hilarious bathrobe interview, an offensive cartoon about Chris Brown and Andrew Garfield’s “British” blow-up at the paparazzi.

We recently saw some awkward candid photos of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone taking a stroll through New York on Sunday morning and I think we all know why they were so uncomfortable now: the pesky paparazzi. I’m sure there are a lot of bonuses to being a celebrity, but I don’t know if the loss of privacy is worth it.
Garfield approached one of the cameramen and very kindly asked him to turn off the camera. Of course, the cameraman is just doing his job and refuses but I can’t help but feel bad for the Spiderman star. The cameraman justifies his filming by saying “you chose the life of a celebrity” but I wonder how many actors actually choose the life of a celebrity.
Some people might say, “well, if they don’t like it they shouldn’t go on a walk.” But, really? I think they’re entitled to a short Sunday morning walk without a parade behind them.
We saw a lot of white at the Oscars tonight, but the shade wasn’t my favourite. It looked a little too bridal and boring to me. It also washed out some ladies on camera, like Rooney Mara. Long sleeves were another big look, which I personally loved. Some critics deemed it too “mature” but who cares about those rules anyway?
Ladies in colour, Michelle Williams and Emma Stone
My absolute favourite look of the night goes to Michelle Williams who wore a coral Louis Vuitton gown. It looked like a vibrant red on camera but this photo really brings out the coral. She paired it with a simple necklace and brooch. She can do no wrong!
Emma Stone wore a beautiful red haute couture dress by Giambattista Valli. I know there will be a bit of disagreement about the bow but I like that she’s fearless. There was some chatter that her dress was too similar to one of Nicole Kidman’s past dresses, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Especially considering how many similar little black dresses we see on the carpet each year.
Young starlets, Sarah Hyland and Shailene Woodley and Rooney Mara
Sarah Hyland’s lilac dress was a little too prom for me. I like the cap sleeve on her right shoulder but found the cut to be a little plain. I originally liked Shailene Woodley’s Valentino dress when I first saw it, but it didn’t photograph as well as it looked on camera. Although some critics thought it wasn’t “age appropriate,” I like the fact that she has a very unique style for being so young. Instead of bare arms and a low cut she went for a dress that’s comparatively conservative. In comparison, Rooney Mara’s Givenchy white dress washed her out and was ill-fitting. She said she picked it out that morning and it showed!
Screen Gold, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman
No joke, I’ve always had a weird affinity for capes. They rock. And Gwyneth Paltrow, who wore Tom Ford, rocks for wearing one. Natalie Portman’s dress was a little too 50s sweetheart to me. We see her in the “cute” dress a lot and I wish she’d mix it up for a change. But still, the style makes her comfortable so I can’t blame her for going that route. My second best of the night goes to Angelina Jolie. She looked HOT with that slit in the leg and she actually cracked a smile.
Funny ladies, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy
My favourite of these ladies was Rose Byrne. Her haircut is the type of style that makes me chop off my hair and then immediately regret it. But it looks chic on her. Maya Rudolph looked great in a simple purple. In comparison, her SNL buddy Kristen Wiig was a little too beachy and casual for the night. If she pulled up her hair it would have made a huge difference. I heard some different points of view about Melissa McCarthy’s dress but I don’t think it’s structured enough and I’m not huge on the colour.
Best of the night? Sacha Baron Cohen

If you’ve seen “Valentine’s Day” and “New Year’s Eve” you’re familiar with the format. Every single celebrity in the world stars in a movie taking place on one of the most romantic days of the year. They hate their jobs and hate the fact that they’re single and lonely.
Such is the premise for “Martin Luther King Day”, except it’s not a real movie. It’s a spoof that will be features on an upcoming episode of “30 Rock”. Creator Tina Fey wanted to play up on all these ridiculously cheesy star-studded films that have come out this past year.
MLK Day is probably the least romantic holiday of the year (besides Ground Hog Day, of course) so watching Emma Stone and Andy Samberg whine about not having dates for the special day makes the other films look ludicrous.
As funny as this trailer may be, we should all be happy it’s not real.
What a night it was at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards. Ricky Gervais was back to host the show but kept his crude jokes to a minimum this time. It was a big night for the cast and crew of the film “The Artist” and the t.v. show “Homeland”; both won big in their categories.
It was also a big night for these five leading ladies because their gowns have landed them on my top 5 best dressed list.
5. Kelly Osbourne

4. Jessica Alba

3. Emma Stone

2. Julianne Moore

1. Kate Beckinsale

Honourable mention: Uggie (“The Artist”)

The fabulous people at Buzzfeed have declared Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling the “perfect non-couple”.
The two actors have played opposite each other in the romantic comedy “Crazy Stupid Love” last year but have not made any crazy stupid love with one another. Emma’s been spotted canoodling with Spiderman’s Andrew Garfield and Ryan’s caught the attention of Eva Mendes.
Buzzfeed have posted photos of the two doing similar, ordinary things while apart from one another, proving that maybe they belong with each other and nobody else.
Walking the dog

Hanging out with Jimmy Fallon

Walking through the airport

Together in bed

The people have spoken. These five female celebrities looked absolutely stunning at last night’s People’s Choice Awards in L.A.
Hundreds of television and movie stars as well as the hottest singers showed up to present awards. Katy Perry ended up winning the most awards in the music category but unfortunately she did not attend. It’s a shame, because I’m always excited to see what look Katy pulls off on the red carpet.
Here’s my pick for the top 5 best dressed women.
5. Kaley Cuoco

4. Emma Stone

3. Demi Lovato

2. Miley Cyrus

1. Nina Dobrev

The bubbly redheaded actress Emma Stone has nothing but adoration for her “Crazy, Stupid Love” costar Ryan Gosling.
She was spotted in the Tribeca area of New York doing her best impersonation of the Canadian hunk.
After studying the two adorable photos, I’ve come to the conclusion that Ryan Gosling does it better. But I have to admit, Emma and Ryan would make a cute couple if it weren’t for her Spiderman beau, Andrew Garfield.

Who’s snarky face do you fancy most?
Stars of the upcoming Spiderman movie, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, were seen hugging while she’s been in L.A. filming her next movie.
Some websites like Just Jarred are reporting these two are dating but neither of the two have come clean about it. It could appear they’re just really nice friends. Not everyone that hugs a member of the opposite sex is necessarily getting down and dirty with them. But, for the record, they do look cute together.
The two also spent some time together on Halloween. It’s great they’re keeping in touch since wrapping up the next Spiderman movie which is isn’t out until next July. Hopefully this friendship/romance isn’t one of those “publicity stunts” to amp up The Amazing Spider-Man, where they end up dumping each other after the movie’s on DVD.
Jim Carrey took to Twitter to explain his creepy Emma Stone video.
In the video he said, “I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but, you know, smart and kindhearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you, and we would have chubby little freckled faced kids.”
Carrey claims however it was all a joke.
“Yes, my msg to Emma Stone was a comedy routine and the funniest part is that everything i said is tru,” he tweeted, before continuing, “People often ask me if i’m being funny or serious. The answer is “YES”. ?;^]”
Well at least Jim isn’t a creepy old man.
You need to give Jim Carrey credit. He publicly confesses his love to Emma Stone and readily admits she’s out of his league.
“I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all-the-way beautiful,” the 49-year-old Canadian tells the 22-year-old “Easy A” actress. “Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you.”
And it goes on….
“We would have chubby little freckle-faced kids, we’d laugh all day long, go camping and play Yahtzee,” Carrey says. “Tell ghost stories by the fire.”
You can’t help but feel sympathy for the creepy/disturbing guy.
Perezhilton.com reports that indie darling Zooey Deschanel may be in the running for a supporting role in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot. Webb apparently approached Deschanel to play the role of Betty Brant, J.J. Jameson, the secretary at the Daily Bugle newspaper. The role was formerly played by Elizabeth Banks in the Sam Raimi films.
If the film doesn’t have buzz enough, certainly adding Deschanel to the cast would up the popularity of the film. Deschanel seems like a good fit for the role and for the movie in general. Webb has casted indie favorites Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield so another loved zany star would work perfectly in the mix. Plus Deschanel is one of the most loved actresses right now. She hasn’t done much since (500) Days of Summer, but that film did extremely well.
Let’s hope she takes the role!
Marc Webb, director of (500) Days of Summer, is currently in production on the “Reboot” of the Spider-Man series. The film stars Emma Stone (Superbad) as Gwen Stacy and Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Peter Parker. Since the beginning of the project rumors have been circling on who the villain might be. Could it be Venom? The Rhino? The Scorpian? TheWrap.com reports that the new villain will be The Lizard formerly played by Dylan Baker in the Sam Raimi Spider-man films.
Welsh Actor, Rhys Ifans (Hannibal Rising) will play The Lizard, also known as Dr. Curtis Connors. Connors was a scientist who lost his arm in the war and became obsessed with reptilian limb regeneration. After the war he began tests on animals to regenerate limbs and decided to test the formula on himself. In result he accidentally gave himself superhuman powers due to exposing himself to mutagenic chemicals.
It will be interesting to see another directors take on Spider-man. It seems that Webb may try to follow the comics more so than his predecessor, Raimi. The film will be in theaters in 3-D on July 3, 2012.
