Looks like the “Lost” castaways have more to fear than the Others ? “American Idol.”

In ratings news from Wednesday night, “American Idol?s” hour-long results show where underdog Elliott Yamin was booted out triumphed over “Lost,” Reuters reports.

?American Idol” averaged 27.1 million viewers and a 10.5 rating/25 share among adults 18-49, according to preliminary data released yesterday by Nielsen Media Research.

“Lost” meanwhile, sank to its lowest rating for an original episode all season. It averaged 14.2 million viewers and a 5.9/14 between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. This week?s rating was down 25 per cent from its season-to-date average of 7.9/19.

The “Amazing Race” averaged only 9.1 million viewers and a 3.4/9 for its lowest finale rating ever.
