Who doesn’t have an orange crush on Ed Sheeran? That accent, that guitar, that ginger hair… That’s why these photos and videos of young Ed are too adorable to pass up.
He comes from a musical family
Ed Sheeran was born in 1991 in Halifax, England, and started school around age three. He’s not the only creative one in the family — his mom designs jewelry, his dad’s an art historian and his older brother Matt plays classical music.
He was obsessed with yo-yos
Before he got “Drunk” on music, seven-year-old Ed was a serious yo-yo addict. “I remember during the yo-yo craze [in 1998] my mum wouldn’t spend £8 and made me one out of jam jar lids and string,” Ed said. “Can you imagine taking that to school?”
Damien Rice told him to go for his dreams
Ed picked up his first guitar when he was 11-years old. He got into singing and writing music in 2002 after meeting Irish songwriter Damien Rice backstage at a concert. Damien told Ed to follow his dreams (d’aw).

FYI, Fall is around the corner

Either you love fall or you hate it. It’s time to pack up your summer clothes and get ready for jeans, sweats and comfy oversized sweaters. If you’re kinda depressed about the whole change of weather, make yourself some autumn inspired cookies. I’m 99.9% sure you will feel better. [season-a-l.tumblr]
Mason is TOO cute, but it’s time to welcome another baby

On the season finale of KUWTK, you never know what you’re going to expect. I def shed a few tears as Kourtney gave birth (or technically pulled out) her daughter Penelope. Oh just another girl to add to the family. Watch out boys cause Lord Disick will be after you. [fuckyeahdash]
Pause — is that Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran?

Errrm, that’s some serious thrusting! One Direction’s Harry Styles and lyrical guru Ed Sheeran made a little (but impressive) cameo in XO MAN’s ‘Quag‘ music video. You know from Family Guy, “giggity giggity.” [let--us-die-young]

From the brilliants minds of coupdemainmagazine comes one of the most inspired interviews we’ve seen of late (except for ours of course) and it involves Ed Sheeran and a cat named Monty. Ed was quite affectionate with the furry interviewer, probably because he was so flattered by the friendship sweater Monty presented him with. It’s always nice to start things off right.
Ed also answers some of the questions we’ve been dying to ask, such as: “Who was cuter as a kid, you or Ron Weasley?” and “Out of everyone from One Direction who would you like to present a rose to?”
The interview seems to get cut off quite suddently when Monty doddles away but it was only get a very special surprise for Ed!

Nothing beats Ed Sheeran giving the finger and thumbs up to a camera and saying “Lets go get really drunk” followed by Harry saying ”Okay!”
This video was shot after the London Games’ epic Closing Ceremony and features some of the performers, including Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Spice Girls and Russell Brand. It’s one of those fly on the wall videos where you get to see what happened AFTER the performance.
Some key scenes? Niall taking a fanboy-style photo of Liam and Louis, Russell Brand wading into the crowd like a Greek god and the Spice Girls chatting with friends.

Ed Sheeran used Instagram as a weapon yesterday when he tweeted this adorable photo oh him with Taylor Swift all like: “Hey, look at us hanging out. SORRY you can’t hear our collaboration until Oct. 22!”
The two have been working on a duet for her forthcoming album Red. He tweeted the photo with the comment: ”Duet coming soon….” Their tortuous tweet comes just after sharing a video of them singing his song “Lego House.”
We’re pretty much dying. @edsheeran
Miley’s Bun
Miley Cyrus retweeted a message from her long lost bun of hair. Although the bun has poor grammar, we respect that it isn’t holding hard feelings against Miley, who recently cut it off in favor of a Twiggy-esque cut. The bun even advised Miley on how to tell off haters. Message: If you’re going to tell people off, it’s always more legitimate if you include Chanel’s logo.
Ed Sheeran
In fact, I don’t actually pay for therapy. Instead, I read Ed Sheeran’s tweets every morning and then repeat them 3o times over in front of the mirror as a daily affirmation.
Miley Cyrus
We’re surprised Miley Cyrus let strangers babysit her dog. Has she not seen the new trailer for Seven Psychopaths?!? YELP.
Mac Miller
Good to see Mac Miller is inspired by an extensive collection of music.
Conor Maynard
That was the day Conor Maynard retired music. After you get a sartorial compliment like this from Wiz Khalifa, you really can’t go up.

We basically had a slumber party convo with Princess Taylor Swift last night when she hosted a live web chat with the world on YouTube. She told us about a week ago that she had MAJOR news and she didn’t disappoint. Swift revealed that she has a new album coming out on Oct. 22 called Red and a new single called “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” She also unveiled her new album cover (above).
Although Swift is so young, she’s also like an oh-so-wise Yoda when it comes to relationships. She said about the songs on the album: “They’re all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. And all those emotions, spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that, in my mind all of those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between — there’s nothing beige about those feelings.
She hosted the live chat from Nashville in front of fans from across the world. The album will have 16 songs, including the title track. It also features collabs with several artists and songwriters, including Ed Sheeran. Apparently Swift and Sheeran wrote the song while sitting on a trampoline.
She played “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” during the chat and joked “it’s a really romantic song that’s to my lovely ex-boyfriend.”
Who do you think it’s about?
Uh…I’m feeling hot and bothered now.
Proving the world that he can sing just about anything and make it sound original, Ed Sheeran does it again with another amazing cover.
While Ed’s style is usually along the lines of acoustic, folk, alternative and pop, he is also a huge Hip-Hop and R&B fan. So while he was in New York City promoting his debut album ‘+’, he did an impromptu cover of Ginuwine’s sexy tune “Pony” while rehearsing for his sold-out gig.
If that was just an random performance, I am SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED.
And can I just mention how he just picks up his phone and gets up the second he was done?
Oh you know. It’s not like he just made everyone swoon over his voice.
It’s that time of year again! With guests like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cody Simpson and Ed Sheeran this year’s MMVAs are going to be insane. It’s hard to keep up with all the commotion this time of year but we stopped by MuchMusic headquarters to talk to Lauren Toyota about what to expect. She and @Jordans_life talk discuss the potential liability of having LMFAO co-host and Bieber-proofing the event.

Taylor Swift’s life is pretty much perfect. She’s the type of girl who has celebrity dress-up parties in honour of Shirley MacLaine’s birthday and lectures her Scottish Fold cat Meredith all about ACM voting regulations.
She also chills with Brit singer Ed Sheeran on her kitchen floor and sings with him while he plucks a few strings on the guitar. The duo sang his hit single “Lego House,” leading a lot of people who were already excited about them collaborating on material to LOSE THEIR MINDS.
Ed is penning songs for Taylor’s forthcoming album and based on their harmonies we know their singer/songwriter relationship will be freaking awesome.

One Direction told andPOP if they had to choose a sixth member of the band they’d choose Ed Sheeran! Find out what Ed Sheeran had to say about that here. We also watch a video of Jon Hamm giving advice to 16-year-old girls (it’s not creepy we promise) and sympathize with a very unlucky couple.
It seems a lot of people are trying to get their hands on Ed Sheeran these days. His album + is doing incredible things internationally and his fans like the music so much they’re screaming the words to his songs. Not that it’s a bad thing but it must hurt the ears a little. We share this enthusiasm for Ed and his music. In fact, he also likes us. Did you know @andPOP is his favourite website? True story!

Can you imagine British sensation Ed Sheeran as the sixth member of One Direction? When andPOP sat down with 1D’s Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, they knew right away they’d initiate the singer songwriter as a new bandmate.
“I’m digging red haired man,” Niall said. “He’s got one of the best voices you’ll ever hear.”
We asked Sheeran if he’d ever consider joining the band and while he loves hanging out with the guys (apparently he and Harry Styles are like an old married couple) he doesn’t have any plans to be a new member.
“We do completely different things,” he said. “I think it’s cooler to hang out with them than to actually be in the band. I mean, I’ve got to where I am on my own and they got to where they are on their own and I think to add to either camp might be a mistake.”
Sheeran has come a long way since posting homemade videos on YouTube for his fans. He told us how he used to get paid in booze almost everyday at pubs. Since then, he shot to mega commercial success last year with his track “The A Team” and wrote a song called “Moments” for One Direction, which is on their debut album.
Even if Sheeran has no plans to join the band, would you like to hear another collaboration?

We watch videos of your favourite celebrities before they made it big, including The Wanted, One Direction and Ed Sheeran. We also talk about Ashton Kutcher’s controversial new ad for Popchips and a kid who nearly gets eaten by a lion (but not really).
Many of us stash away embarrassing photos or home videos from our younger years that we’d rather forget. Think of that tap dance recital when the majority of your moves were enhanced with jazz hands or the middle school play in which you played an inconsequential role, like a stationary shrub.
For today’s generation, those videos are bound to be immortalized on YouTube one way or another. Luckily for the celebrities below, they all had pretty impressive talents that include everything from being a mini pop idol to stuffing and an obscene amount of marshmallows into one mouth.
One Direction’s Liam Payne
Looks like One Direction’s Liam Payne had a steady group of female groupies even before he was in the boy band. Here he is at 15, singing “Lost” at Merry Hill Christmas in 2008. Payne was a music technology student at City of Wolverhampton College and first auditioned for X Factor that same year. Although he made it to the judges’ houses, Simon Cowell didn’t think he was ready for the competition and asked him to come back in two years. Thankfully, he did.
Ed Sheeran
“Hello again, my name is Ed Sheeran and this is How Much Can You Fit in Your Mouth? Today’s episode is Tesco’s Fat Free Marshmallows.” Sheeran chronicled his mediocre foodie adventures on YouTube around age 14 or 15. Other episodes in the series documented how many Maltesers, Jaffa Cakes and Gummy Bears he could fit in his mouth before gagging. Luckily, he had a ‘spotter’ in his aloof assistant Steve. Of course, the singer also used YouTube to promote his fantastic music and his fan base steadily grew until he rocketed to fame with “The A Team” at age 20.
The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes
Here’s an 11-year-old Nathan Sykes giving us a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Notice his cheeky wink at the beginning before turning serious and showing off some impressive snake arms with his backup dancers. His 90s muscle shirt, baggy pants and black sweatband defined my entire generation.

After meeting Ed Sheeran we realized that outside of music he’s actually quite funny. Inside that beautiful red cranium is a wonderland of kittens, Lego, jokes and most importantly music. Like any true artist, he’s also a little weird but in the best kind of way. We discovered this part of his personality when he answered a question about his dreams that a fan submitted through our twitter (@andPOP). It turns out when he’s sleeping, all those kittens and Lego can turn into some really crazy stuff! Do you have a recurring dream? Tweet it at us!
Let’s be honest if you’ve ever listened to Ed Sheeran’s music, it’s pretty easy to understand why he’s becoming so popular. He’s written with One Direction, Kanye West and some other REALLY famous people. @Jordans_life got some help from @andPOP’s friends on twitter to ask: what do you buy when you become famous?
Watch the interview here:
We’re interviewing flame-haired acoustic troubadour Ed Sheeran, who was recently named best male breakthrough artist for his debut album at the Brit Awards. We love his eclectic blend of acoustic pop, folk and hip hop. If you’re dying to ask him any questions, send them our way via Twitter @andPOP. But make sure to get them in before Wednesday, April 18, when @Jordans_Life will be sitting down with him.
